Despite being an outcast, Yoyo is still predisposed to easily get lonely and find someone she can be part of the group with. And Hati is all too eager to befriend people too. And it was only a brief showing, but we also see the violent group vs group dynamics too as we see the sheer vitriol the Gypro-Verde Nymph and the Gardinigger Nymphs had against each other.

Loner Nymphs (AKA "motherless" Seedlings) are viewed as completely alien and uneasy company. Though I imagine that Nanakino is half-baked even by Seedling standards since Nehma made her at only a fraction of her power as a lawn ornament. Seedlings were supposed to be agents of chaos that sowed discord within colonies and convinced Nymphs to betray their queens. So I imagine that the average Seedling in Nehma's golden era was actually quite attractive and charismatic. Nanakino is well, a couple of cans short of a six pack it seems.

The charged greatsword is probably the best weapon overall. It does massive damage to everything and the charge mechanic is actually an advantage because it only costs energy when it starts charging and you can hold the charge for as long as you want, meaning you don't have to spend any energy when you're in melee range.

How am I supposed to compare equipment stats? The Valdol legs have a Jump Ability stat over 20k points higher than that of the starter legs, but using it barely increases how high I can jump. Meanwhile, this SMG's Rapid Fire stat is just 27 points higher than the starter AR's, but it feels like it fires twice as fast.

it depends on the leg type. Hover legs are all about sustain while rocket has the highest jump. Also your booster half contributes to how high your jump height is.
guns each have a seperate stat spread between categories. that cannot really be compared with different types. For example the ars have a more modest rf with high projectile speed, while smgs and discharge have spray and pray speeds and mid to close range.

Equipment lore entries in the game show that the preferred Gardina way of dealing with Gypro-Verde remnants and their heavy defensive gear was torching them alive with flame/heat equipment and turning their fortress on wheels into portable ovens.
The fact that these Gardiniggers went out of their way to make it quick for the Gypro-Verde Nymph via Potato God to the face means that believe it or not, this squad was probably one of the nicer ones.

Nymphs in their modern form are Hod/Nehma's whim. But the first generation of Nymphs (i.e. the ones with very explicit doll Joints and less sentience) were already around when Humans were still in Hod. There's a reason why the Humans gave Hod the codename "Dolls Nest" since evidently, by that point, Hod's primary arms force was adorable anime antgirl T-1000s.

Hod was more or less a massive Cell (i.e. the magic scifi doohickey for the setting, tldr its fucking nanomachines) research facility and production factory of Metametria Corporation. And Cell-based lifeforms were one of Hod's main outputs and effectively all of those lifeforms are under the umbrella category of variants. But clearly, someone in the Metametria upper brass went:

For what it's worth, Nanakino uses the very formal "Okaa-sama" when referring to Nehma. So she switched from the very stiff "Aruji (i.e. Master)" to Mother during this intense moment. All in all, my favourite chapter thus far. Nykken seems to have gotten a better grasp of depicting humanoid robot vs. giant fuck you death machine because I actually clearly understood the fight scenes. Lots of lore bits and equipment references that will make the people that played the games point at the screen and there's actually a pretty good scene of Nanakino finally exhibiting more intense emotions, setting up her own character arc (and potential drama down the line because all players know that Nehma is kind of a bitch and a really shitty mother) and a more rocky but also more interesting initial character dynamic with Hati (i.e. Hati being very wary of Nanakino whom she views as a murderhobo with a very alien mindset), who I presume will actually be her primary companion for most of the story.

Also, lots of nice Nanakino ass.

Adding to what >>23930575 said, there are three invisible* spider tanks in the Accumulation Zone that spawn infinite waves of tiny shotgun drones that stack Corrosion (the 2nd worse status effect behind Parasite) on to you. You can find them by tracing the swarms of drones back to the mothertank.
Whilst your down there keep an eye out in any tight tunnels for a blue glow. If you see it, dodge out of los, you WILL lose that stand up fight. Shoot it when it's recharging or move up the opposite corridor (it's at a crossroads) and engage at range. It's shots are slow but will rape you if they hit.
Also consider the Weapon Balance mod that makes thr guns more viable. And the long range spike cannon enemy has a purpose, look at the wall by the lower platforms further along.

*technically it only goes invisible and starts spawning when it detects you but it has a no los detection range of massive

I started recently as well, too many useless weapons is definitely a problem. This is definitely the kind of game where part of the appeal is using as many different weapons and equipment as possible.
Still, the game is a lot of fun regardless. The atmosphere is great, customization is nice, and the guns that are usable are all wonderful. The game is well worth the time and money. I'd love to see a game with this kind of gameplay and combat but with more characters and plot to get attached to

the first one was on the lower passage on the very first building you enter in accumulation zone. second is tucked inside a garage on the right side of the giant open field where you get the shotgun and a nymph boss fight. You're unironically better off doing a new loop and just picking up the Pearls from placed locations/chests that respawn every new game loop rather than farming the Ark for pearls.
You're gonna need at least 3 runs to 100% the game anyway. Just finish up Shara's quest on a succeeding loop. That's how I did it, and how a lot of other anons did it back when the game came out and had frequent threads on /v/.

With a proper loadout and upgrades, the early to mid game goes so much faster. Not to mention already knowing where to go and having more shortcuts available thanks to your better Frame options. See pic related.

Her other eye fused to (You) when you acquire it. Said eye holds a fair bit of her admin privileges. Evidently, Nehma doesn't like competition. The general implication here being that the systems of Hod also designated (You) as a viable replacement or successor to Nehma. Though even if you didn't inadvertently hijack some of her admin privileges, I feel like she would've just treated (You) like a disposable doll that she'll trash once thoroughly used.

The tragedy here is that from the embrace option during the ending, one can infer that the player Seedling really only wanted headpats, love and affection from mommy. She probably would've been an obedient murderhobo if mommy at least valued and acknowledged her existence. And this seems to be the characterization Orphans is going with for Nanakino. But no, Nehma had to be a petty megalomaniac bitch that just couldn't be proud of or affectionate with her "daughter".

When your on the elevator heading up to the water treatment level there's an opening infront of you just after you leave the fault. It's the roofing structure of the chamber you just left, the gun is in a chest across the beams. Find it then jump down.
