The Omegahorn toyline still uses Emogears and such so, it's compatible with Gavan Infinity, and this makes it sound like it will continue into the third show. I guess the Project RED series won't be just making guest appearances in futures, you'll also have the toys having support and promotion in the tv shows for longer than the usual one year trail.

New to Sentai, is there a strong distinction between the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras like there is for Rider or are the lines blurry and it's pointless to divide them up like that because it never went off the air until now? Is there a generally accepted system for breaking up the different periods of the franchise?

>>23909961Because Sentai didn't have any long breaks between seasons (besides JAKQ to Battle Fever J, and it wasn't even that long) it's mostly seen through a couple more messy blocks of catagorization. like the Ishinomori years (Gorenger/JAKQ), the Marvel years (Battle Fever J to Sun Vulcan) then the Hirohisa Soda years (Goggle V to Fiveman). After that it's a bit more muddled (you can just call the time after the 90s era) until Gaoranger changed over to digital cameras but still used analog compositing, then Boukenger being the first widescreen season, then Shinkenger changing to a fully digital production (including on-set voice recording instead of using ADR like every Sentai before it) that's still used to this day.

>>23909961Gaoranger is typically seen as a new era since it used digital cameras, made the 6th a regular feature who appeared in every episode (prior to this they typically had a much more minor role than the main 5 and some seasons had no 6th at all) and most importantly introduced the concept of limb swap mecha toys to be sold separately from the main robot which increased sales and was basically Sentai's equivalent of Rider introducing henshin trinkets. It also ushered in Sentai's most successful decade of pretty much nothing but solid hits from Gao through Gokaiger.
