The plastic is also lower quality and usually has a lot of mold release on it still. Bandai still makes a profit from selling to HL, while HL makes marginal (if any) profit from selling Gunpla to the customers, which has the added effect of introducing Gunpla more to the mainstream (who will then go to other retailers to buy what they can't find at HL).A lot of the newest Gunpla kits that Bandai prints go first and foremost to themselves in Japan, and then to the various smaller retailers like Newtype and USAGS, and all the brick and mortar stores around the country (not directly, but through whatever go-between companies that have contacts with Bandai and such). I've never seen Hobby Lobby actually stock fresh and new stuff, they only started stocking GQuuuuuuX kits earlier this year, and it was only a few months ago that they started stocking RG Shining Gundam. Okay, before anything stupid happens, I wanna ask, what are the differences between Zeta Plus models? From what I only saw with the G Gen 0 SD Zeta Plus Amuro Custom, the major differences between Zeta Plus models are the A2 head having the forehead Mega Cannon, C1 having the beam smart gun and different crotch plate, and D having a new nosecone and wings. Not sure about the B type except the cockpit change and lack of weaponry, but the E type should have a radome dish on the backpack that doesn't interfere with the transformation gimmick. My best bet is that the MG Ver.Ka allows you to build the A1, B and C1 versions, but you will have to get a P-Bandai expansion kit for the remaining variations (A2, C2, D, E).

Spraying some gold for MG Banshee and decided to check what spraying Gaia EX-08 Gold looked like with a gloss black base vs just a black surface base. Right is just the surfacer. Gloss coat on both. If you want flat featureless panels, inaccurate colors you will happily correct yourself, and old-style proportions, you have literally decades of old releases you can customize. You will not get new releases that cater to those tastes.

Originally I was picturing some extended sections kinda like ReGelgu but sleeker with a line of thrusters, but then I thought about intermeshing rotors mounted on the shoulders, but idk it felt cumbersomeon the otherhand now I've built an attack helicopter on top of the gerbera tetra without a rotor which feels weirdah well who knows I'm just vibing
Can someone explain to me why the liber dragonborn and Dragonia Lord are more expensive than the rest? I was already wondering why the other classes are more expensive than Liber/Rosan Knight but chalked it up to the basic one being more produced.
