Oroc is a retool of Monster Buckle, has a side cape and a nose ring
Q2 Rider (Dinosaur)
Will you look forward to Ex-Aid's 10th anniversary milestone, /krg/uys?
>>24035933Now we're definitely never seeing Punkjack ever again.
>>24035934>series about chinese mythology>suddenly dinosaur rider????
>>24035933>Oroc is a retool of Monster BuckleNot even by cutting down on the forms for the Main Rider are we free from kitbashes for retail stuff.
How are you feeling about this, anons?
>>24035950It's not just Chinese mythology. We've had signs of it from the outset. My-Th uses "Underlying" powers from the Ride X Eggs that aren't from Chinese myth. The evolution motif prevalent through the show contrasts well with dinosaurs. And of course, My-Th's Frames gimmick is literally a skeleton already so the dino rider's bone gimmick wouldn't be out of place.
>>24035933Fucking unreal. I can understand the plus attachments, but we've just given up at this point.
>>24035950Didn't people in ancient china assume that dinosaur bones came from dragons?
>>24035950Dragon and dinosaur are interchangeable
>>24035971>And of course, My-Th's Frames gimmick is literally a skeletonThat's a headcanon that doesn't make much sense to me. My-Th's Eggs are supposed to hatch "naturally" compared to how the Zodiac Alliance use tools to crack them open, so why would the end result for him be dead animals? He still has whiskers, which a skeleton wouldn't have, and the supposed "eye holes" of the "skull" are rat ears, which don't have bones. It makes more sense for them to be metal jewelry frames instead of bones to contrast how the Zodiac Alliance's suits are made from the pieces of the cracked gem eggs that appear during the transformations while My-Th only uses those for his gem pedestal after "hatching", and that My-Th switches to different frames to "disguise" himself as other animals.
>>24035989>That's a headcanon that doesn't make much sense to me.You can literally see it in the picture> and the supposed "eye holes" of the "skull" are rat ears, which don't have bones. The eyeholes are the rat ears. Dual-purpose. Have you never seen a PLEX design before?
>>24035989>My-Th's Eggs are supposed to hatch "naturally" compared to how the Zodiac Alliance use tools to crack them open, so why would the end result for him be dead animals?Because he explicitly says his powers "come from behind." His suit is from behind the shell, not the shell itself. The Zodiac Riders are flesh and blood animals with the animal heads visible as part of their chest. What's behind flesh? Bone.
>>24035984>>24035986There's already a mythological dragon, this is apparently a straight up dinosaur.
>>24035991>You can literally see it in the pictureIt's still a headcanon until it's officially acknowledged in an interview. Like the people who say Nox is based on a butterfly.
>>24035938Announcement 4 will be the CSM. No one wants to know prices..... (better start saving)Announcement 5 is the new movie and movie belt. (Also expensive CSM)
>>24035986Now I remember how Ryusoulger was hyped to be a dragon Sentai.
>>24035990I wish my pocket wasn't mugenly empty...
>Eiji fucking died>Shouichi has ED and can't do his Rider Kick anymore>Tendou only appears as a cameo at the very end, not even played by his original actorWell, at least Takumi got to bang Mari after 20 years.
>>24036049Inoue also mellowed out over the years and basically soft confirmed Takmui not dying from his Orphnoch cancer anymore.
>>24036049Now I'm morbidly curious on how Ex-Aid's 10th and Den-O's 20th anniversaries will handle their respective leads.
https://twitter.com/Takahito_Omori/status/2105667809812635950Omori's most recent twitter post: "Today, finally, I have the real sense of having been reborn as a producer. 2026.10.1"
>>24035956It sounds fine for a Kabuto sequel. Mizushima not coming back sucks, but at least they didn't add salt to the wound by making the new Tendou girl his replacement as Kabuto.
>>24036064I thought he's with Toho now
>>24035950To be fair, some of the show's themes are also about past vs future and evolution. There are also the "Extinct" variety of Fukashigi and Seed Eggs too based on the My-Th Driver sounds, so it's not like it's fully out of nowhere. Plus dinosaurs are cool.
I've been reminded of Tenkatoitsu Damashii and how the only thing stronger than mankind's infinite potential is three Japanese guys cooperating
>>24036110Anyone knows the production reason of why they chose this, in a movie with Ex Aid?

>>24036106Ah yes, the classic rivalry of cat, mouse, and dinosaur.
>>24036106>>24036159Hmmm....
>>24036146>>24036149I'm guessing he's either a fodder or he's giving up Ox for Dino power. The auroch naming does set up an extinct connection
>>24036149
>>24036165Maki's actor becoming the dinosaur tertiary Rider in My-Th would be peak.
>>24036159Dinosaur is just a big chicken lizard thingy
>>24036052While he definitely has didn't Shirakura state/imply they gave the Faiz cast a happy ending due to the negative reception of OOO 10th?
>>24036166I really doubt they're gonna be the same guy. They're both debuting in the same quarter, T-Rex is a very different motif from Ox, they main different kinds of weapons, and their main color isn't even the same.
Kamuri pals, I'm not sure how long /ourcat/ will maintain his presence with the the Q2 Ox and T-Rex riders arriving next year.
>>24036173He's not attractive enough to be part of a main trio.
>>24036183Ox is a subordinate Rider with a kitbashed suit who's coming alongside the Horse, the Boar and the Monkey Riders. And the Maou Driver still has potential for a power-up.
>>24036182Unless I'm forgetting a Rider who completely change his motif by quarter, then yeah. Oroc is probably dead. >>24036183The fate of Q1 Boss Rider
>>24035933Why dont they just kill the previous zodiac and reuse their suits
>>24036183His belt has these mysterious two pins, so hes getting an upgrade
Happy 10th to my first Kamen Rider series I finished. I thinn I watched all the side story stuff too.
>>24036257>>24036191Rid will inherit the driver.
>>24035933Geats wa never end
>>24036262I like his base suit doe
>>24036268we don't care lil bro
>>24035950There was already knowledge of Extinct Seed X-Eggs from the driver hacking so a dinosaur themed rider later doesn't surprise me too much.
>>24035950>chinese mythology Technically, it's the Japanese version of the tale.
>>24035934>>24035950>>24036106>>24036146>>24036149Told you. The fact there's more registered Extinct Seed X-Eggs is just suspicious, but he's like Birth to a degree with his generous use of the minor collectible type.>>24036166>>24036182>>24036192Okay... The question is if we are still getting a TAF of Oroc anyway, while the other two missing Alliance members will still get figures.
>>24036316Farus is confirmed but is Hore?
>>24036318It's interesting how we're getting a lot on Oroc and Farus but Hore seems to be later?
>>24036322The hog is the last of the zodiac, so maybe he's late Q2 or Q3 guy?
>>24036316confirmed by takebe himself >>24035270
>>24035956It sounds disappointing but the least disappointing of all the anniversary sequel films
>>24036049I can't believe they couldn't even reuse TV audio of Tendou. Japanese agencies are no joke.
>>24036328You bitch, I'm in!Speaking of which, with how the Ride X-Eggs 3 is gonna be a promotion item with the Rising Buckle, I have a feeling My-Th Tiger Rising will appear.
Someone fill me in on why Hiro Mizushima couldn't return. I thought it was just him retiring and not wanting to bother with acting but I saw some people say he was blacklisted?
>>24036345He quit his agency before his contract was up and did not commit sudoku after the dishonor.
>>24036348That's it? And twenty years later they're still butthurt to the point he can't make a 5 second cameo?
>>24036352Yes, you should see what they did to Yuki and GoyzuBlack.
>>24036352Yes, it's the same as the entertainment industry anywhere else in the world. Their higher ups can spend decades fisting twinks for roles (LOL Johnny's) but god help you if you try and work outside the system.
>>24036352Probably doesn't help he was actually famous and fairly big at the time so it's not something that would go unnoticed by higher ups. Before this incident he was known as one of the big actors to come out of Kamen Rider.
>>24035956>low budget>no Tendou, the fucking MC>lol let's make it anywayWhat the FUCK where they thinking?

>>24036398anon, are you blind?
>>24036401Clearly you are

>>24036066Arguably making Kagami's son the new Kabuto is just as bad. Kagami was never worthy of Kabuto (Zi-O isn't canon) but his bratty crotch goblin is?
>>24036406If they confirm his mom is Hiyori, then he's at least blood related to Tendou. Though what bothers me more is him becoming Kabuto just out of nowhere and Atlas also supposed just appearing from nowhere if early jap screenings are to be believed
It's kind of hard to see unless it's in direct sun, but the red on Dark Kabuto has this faint gold iridescence to it. You never see it in figures and the like though.

>>24035282Some of the stuff in these links are stuff you already translated but just in case I'll translate it again>The title《MY-TH》was apparently a proposal put forward by Mr. Arakawa.Arakawa: The inspiration came from “Meister.”Takebe: The plural form of “mouse” is also “mice.” In addition, Mr. Nishi from ADK Emotion, the advertising agency, told me that it can mean “myth.” Words like “myth” and “fairy tale” also fit the worldview of a story in which it is unclear whether Kamen Rider truly exists or may simply be a legend.Arakawa: Although that meaning was added later, it ended up creating a deeper significance, resulting in a triple meaning. [Laughs.]Takebe: Come to think of it, it is also unusual for the title not to contain a voiced sound mark.Minato: We have not seen that since Ryuki, so it also gives the title a fresh feeling.—The mouse protagonist’s name is written as 宙, but it can also be read as チュウ (Chū), which is interesting.Takebe: That was indeed Director Nakazawa’s idea.Arakawa: At the time, I was thinking of using puns related to mice—nezumi—and initially began with the word fumin (“sleeplessness”): “the sleepless city” “a city that never sleeps” Kanra-gai. Although the character gai had already been used in Gokaiger, I then started taking apart the word “midnight,” retaining the kanji associated with “mouse,” and considering readings such as Onshitsu or Onsei. When I reached the name Onshitsu Shinya, everyone felt that “Shinya” was a little too ordinary. So the director suggested writing the name as 宙, reading it as Chū, and then calling him Sora.>Speaking of names, because there was so little information about Tatsuomi at the press conference, fans speculated that, since his name began with Tatsu, he might be a dragon-themed Kamen Rider.Takebe: Tatsuomi’s name actually developed from kotatsu.(1/7)
Arakawa: The word kotatsu is written with the characters for “fire,” “great,” and “reach,” right? We reversed the latter two, removed the fire radical from tatsu to turn it into kyo, and then added two strokes to create shin. That resulted in Tatsuomi. This was also Director Nakazawa’s idea.Takebe: At one point, we even planned to call his transformed form Kohatsu Marc, based on the idea that cats curl up inside a kotatsu. [Laughs.]Arakawa: Yuna’s surname was also originally going to be Ryuz. I am a fan of the Chunichi Dragons, so I named her Yūshō, with the hope that the Dragons would finish in first place—in other words, win the championship. But that name was rejected. And, fittingly, although the Chunichi Dragons are celebrating their ninetieth anniversary this year, they have continued to hover near the bottom of the standings. [Laughs.]Takebe: With that name, Yuna would have felt like a dragon herself. [Laughs.] The character 菜 in Mizuki Yuna expresses the idea that plants are the starting point of the food chain. MY-TH was also conceived around the themes of the food chain and evolution.>How were the settings for the individual characters established?Arakawa: The personalities of the Twelve Zodiacs were created through discussions with the director and several rounds of revisions. Because they came from the Taishō era, they differ considerably from modern young people in terms of personality and behavior. We therefore gave them very distinctive and individual characterizations.Takebe: For example, there is Vanken, who is always carrying an anthology and reading it, and Mutn, who uses warawa—“I,” in the speech of a noblewoman—as her first-person pronoun. Mutn’s characterization is particularly interesting.Arakawa: Mutn comes from an aristocratic family. To be honest, her way of speaking is somewhat unusual, but if she was born during the Meiji era, it is just barely plausible. [Laughs.](2/7)
>>24036778>>24036780Takebe: Her anime-like speech patterns are not limited to the way she talks. Her lifestyle is also highly distinctive, which makes her very entertaining.Minato: For example, in Episode 2, Datt says, “Poke me.” It is interesting that these characters, who were born in the Meiji era, gradually learn modern vocabulary and become accustomed to contemporary language.Takebe: Episode 2 focuses on Datt, while Episodes 5 and 6 focus on Jyao and Vanken. In that sense, I think the series is structured so that viewers can gradually understand the characters and follow their relationships with ease.Minato: The costumes and visual effects conceived by Director Nakazawa are also excellent. Once the promotional video was released, people immediately began discussing which member of the Twelve Zodiacs they supported, and the topic became very lively. The casting also feels very high-caliber, and the characters’ popularity continues to grow.>Why was Tatsuomi—Rid—made a mole working undercover for the Twelve Zodiac Alliance?Takebe: Once the story began developing into a conflict between two opposing factions, we thought it would be interesting if there were some kind of story connecting the two sides. During a design meeting, someone suggested having a member of the Twelve Zodiac Alliance infiltrate the MY-TH side. So we proposed sending someone from the alliance to infiltrate the MY-TH household.Originally, during Gavv, we had wanted to have Vram serve as an undercover investigator who infiltrated the Stomach household, but for various reasons that never happened. This time, we wanted to realize that idea in MY-TH.(3/7)
>>24036782>How was the characterization of the leader Kamuri established?Takebe: He has the kind of presence that Noroi has in the novel Bōkensha-tachi: Koku’an no Nezumi to Jūgo-hiki no Nakama—The Adventurers: The Black Rat and His Fifteen Companions. To me, when I think of the natural enemy of mice, I think of Noroi. Kamuri’s defining trait is that he speaks gently and uses extremely polite language, while an absolute terror lies hidden beneath the surface of his subconscious. That aspect makes him similar to Noroi.Arakawa: Kamuri himself does not believe that he is doing anything wrong. He acts purely according to his own convictions.>Tigre and Tatsuomi have a relationship resembling that of an older and younger brother, correct?Takebe: Tatsuomi is looked down upon because he occupies a subordinate position. I remember Director Nakazawa suggesting that he should have someone who understood him. We therefore decided to include a member of the Twelve Zodiacs who would treat Tatsuomi with kindness.>Could you also tell us about Mr. Ataka, who plays Tatsuomi?Takebe: Tatsuomi is the central key character of MY-TH, and he is a very difficult role to handle. For that reason, we struggled considerably during the casting process. He is a challenging character who has to interact with the protagonist’s side while also holding his own in scenes with the Twelve Zodiac side. The decisive factor in the casting was finding someone capable of displaying an excellent balance between those two aspects.Arakawa: He did an excellent job of conveying the feeling of someone who takes everything seriously but is constantly being teased.Takebe: Whenever he interacts with Sora, he creates an atmosphere reminiscent of Tom and Jerry. He and Akiya, the actor who plays Sora, are the same age and were born only a few days apart.(4/7)
>>24036787Minato: However, Akiya and Ataka have had completely opposite career paths up to this point. Akiya has always been active in film and television, while Ataka comes from the theater. Even when performing in a stage production in which he had no lines, he would memorize everyone’s dialogue. It is truly interesting to see the chemistry that emerges when these two people, whose backgrounds and approaches are completely different, work together.>And what about Ms. Riko Horikawa, who plays Yuna?Takebe: The decisive factor was that Ms. Horikawa is an excellent actress who could portray the young lady character extremely well.Minato: Yuna’s audition took place after the candidates for Sora and Tatsuomi had already been selected, so her character was conceived largely in terms of how she would fit into the relationship between those two characters. While watching the candidates perform, Mr. Arakawa strongly recommended her because he felt that she displayed the most outstanding qualities of a refined young lady.Takebe: She is not the kind of modern, fashionable heiress one usually imagines. She has a slightly old-fashioned quality, which is wonderful.Arakawa: Not only are there a great many fight scenes, but MY-TH also has a large number of forms. During Kuuga, there were four derived forms, enhanced forms that evolved from each of them, and a final form, so the structure was easy to understand. I was surprised to see so many forms appearing one after another in MY-TH, although Ms. Komura, who worked on Gavv, had already told me to prepare myself mentally. [Laughs.]Minato: Zeztz also took first-time Kamen Rider viewers into consideration, and, like Kuuga, restrained itself by designing only four derived forms and developing the transformations around them. MY-TH may also represent a reaction against that approach. [Laughs.](5/7)
>>24036789>The animal themes chosen for the reverse sides used during form changes are also interesting. The rabbit is paired with the turtle, while the sheep is paired with the wolf.Takebe: During the meetings, we referred to several lists of animal pairings generated by AI. The rabbit and turtle were an obvious choice, while the pairing of the rooster and salmon was decided upon almost immediately. [Laughs.]Minato: Everyone agreed unanimously. “You eat salmon at Christmas”—even the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries recognizes that. [Laughs.]Takebe: Before we decided to use the Chinese zodiac as the theme, there was even a proposal involving “beef or chicken.” But beef and chicken are also included among the animals of the zodiac. [Laughs.]Minato: I believe MY-TH is the culmination of Ms. Takebe’s experience working on Kamen Rider and Super Sentai over the years. Zeztz is a grand story about protecting the world, but this time MY-TH will present a different kind of appeal from its predecessor: a small-scale yet highly concentrated world. I would be delighted if people around the world came away thinking, “I never knew Kamen Rider could have so many different faces!”Arakawa: I was quite nervous at first, but Ms. Takebe gave me a great deal of freedom and allowed me to write according to my own ideas. As a result, I am having a wonderful time writing it, and I hope that enjoyment will reach the viewers as well. It has been a long time since I last participated in a Kamen Rider production, so I hope everything goes smoothly. I will continue doing my best, and I hope everyone will support us.(6/7)
>>24036791Takebe: Every time I work on a production, I do so with the mindset that it might be my final one. Thanks to everyone, however, I have once again been able to participate in the production of a brand-new Kamen Rider series. Director Nakazawa and writer Arakawa are both highly experienced professionals, so this time I am relying on everyone a great deal as well. [Laughs.] The cast members are all excellent, and everyone on set is working with the shared desire to create the best production possible. I hope everyone enjoys the series over the coming year, and I ask for your continued support!(7/7)

>>24036791>Zeztz is a grand story about protecting the world, but this time MY-TH will present a different kind of appeal from its predecessor: a small-scale yet highly concentrated world.Weird, one would think that a story that starts out with a dilemma about the evolution of humanity and a big organization of Riders who swear to protect them would be large in a scale.
>>24036807>>they're leaning on A.I. for creative decisions nowIn this particular instance all that it amounts to is searching for animal pairings, it's basically the same as googling a list. I don't mind this as long as they don't actually write or design using A.I.The issue here really is Takebe since she just settled on the pairs arbitrarily kinda like she did with the Geats animals, like Tiger/Orca and Pig/Butterfly are a stretch of a pair for example or the example given here of picking Salmon based on the LuPat Christmas episode.
>>24036816Well in Agito they straight up fight God yet aside from the last 6 episodes the show doesn't really feel large scale so they either mean something kinda like that or that the story focuses more on the trio's struggles than saving the world I'd assume.
>>24036778>a story in which it is unclear whether Kamen Rider truly exists or may simply be a legend.Really? I feel like they only do the bare minimum to keep Riders a secret from the public so far, and sometimes not even that (such as when Sora just casually transformed right in front of Tatsuomi in the very first episode).

>>24036864That's okay, so did they. The only aspects that really survived were Revi's Q1 forms being vaguely visually based on past Riders and George's fanboyism that literally never once factored into anything.
>>24036845>this is her last showShe said that every time she works on a production, she does so with the mindset that it might be her final one, she didn't say My-Th would be her final show.>Besides do you trust any of the remaining producers?I would if they weren't all mentored by Takebe's master.
>>24036871Right I have money on Shirakura giving her the tenth anniversary reiwa KR show because muh-japanese-seniority while completely ignoring her fuckups on Super Sentai.
>>24036870>The only aspects that really survived were Revi's Q1 forms being vaguely visually based on past Riders Vice and Live's side forms are also based on past Riders, and so are Demons's Genomixes. And one of Jeanne's weapons is based on Kame Bazooka from V3, her Hibiki scythe also generates purple flames for no reason other than to reference Hibiki.>George's fanboyism that literally never once factored into anything. It led to him modeling his Rider form after Kuuga.Honestly, Revice did more to integrate anniversary aspects than other shows that celebrated the anniversary of the franchise as a whole (Agito, Kabuto, Fourze, Ghost, My-Th) and not just Heisei milestones (Decade, Zi-O).
>>24036870IIRC Giff was gold due to Shocker and that Weekend was envisioned as a "what if Schocker wasn't evil" type organization but those are still really superficial connections>>24036871>She said that every time she works on a productionShe's never said that though with the exception of My-Th where she straight up said she wants this to be her last show because she's getting too old for doing year-long shows>I would if they weren't all mentored by Takebe's masterYanaka has never worked with Shirakura aside from him overseeing Zeztz's pre-production, he was instead mostly mentored by Omori and Tsukada, same with SotaThe following is irrelevant to your point but as a small correction Kuji also wasn't mentored by Shirakura beyond once again supervising pre-production and forcing him to make Gavan, however Kuji was mentored by Takebe>>24036873How do you even reach that conclusion? Toei is one of the few japanese companies that doesn't really care about seniority (that doesn't mean it doesn't abide nepotism just look at the current president of the TV division)They left the final Sentai season which is also the 50th anniversary season to the youngest producer they had available, they left the 50th anniversary of Rider to a guy that had only headed a single Sentai which got him demoted, despite Takebe being the first producer out of the 10s to get demoted she was also the last to be promoted as she took 7 years to head a show again compared to the rest who got demoted after her who only took 4 years, hell even how much power Shirakura has at the company to the point he got picked as president before Hikasa despite the latter being both older and having been on the company longerSadly the likeliest person to get picked for Reiwa 10 given the interviews and that by that time he'd have spent 4 years demoted which seems to be the bare minimum of a testing period to get reinstated as a producer, is Minato

I might still have the chance to work on one‑off projects like films or streaming dramas in the future, but TV work runs for more than a year, and you can't do it without pouring your life into it. When we were starting the program, I announced in front of the staff and cast that I was doing it with the mindset that this would be my last work. This is the only time she told the staff and cast that this is her last show and the first time she's talked about moving on from shows>Closely supervising pre-production and forcing subordinates to do an specific job is a form of "mentoring".Now you're just moving the goalpost, the pre-production process isn't a full year, mentoring is heading a show while teaching the ropes to a vice producer like Shirakura did with Matsuura and Takebe, or what him and Tsukada did with Minato where they oversaw him far more
>>24036883>Sadly the likeliest person to get picked for Reiwa 10>MinatoGotchard's Legend arc proved that he understands the assignment when it comes to fanservice shit like this, probably because he's a hardcore Rider fan himself. Or would you rather have someone who barely knows about Rider like Yanaka instead?
>>24036457The psychological torment techniques of the Zyuinshi Doumei are not to be underestimated. Sora is dying on the inside.
>>24036913What matters the most is for the show to be great, while I also don't have high trust on the other producers, with how much Minato limited Hasegawa and Uchida he's the one I trust the least of the ones that are eligibleI can only hope that by Reiwa 10 he has finally understood that he's the creative head of the project and doesn't actually have to take things safe and is able to experiment as much he wants since he at least seems to have the right intentI guess when it comes who to keep for Reiwa 10 I'd rather take one of the new producers like Takijima or Sota to not have any expectations but really the choices available are interchangeable at this point since it's not like we've seen any of these producers do a show under normal circumstances anyway
>>24034357So Kei's suit actor is the youtuber victim from tomorrow's episode. He also was on Boonboomger, weird to pick him since he hasn't suit acted for Toei toku yet only played random thugs or guest characters.
>>24036883>They left the final Sentai season which is also the 50th anniversary seasonDon't be a disingenuous cunt. Super Sentai for most of the past two decades historically celebrated production milestones such as Gaoranger (25th production), Boukenger (30th production) and Gokaiger (35th production) rather than actual calendar years (you have to go back to the late 90s to see them giving a fuck about it). Gozyuger was the 49th production and then the 50th anniversary only suddenly became important because they had already fucking decided to kill the franchise and wanted to end everything on a "high note" because of it.>she was also the last to be promoted as she took 7 years to head a show again compared to the rest who got demoted after her who only took 4 yearsBecause what she did helped put Super Sentai in the grave. She shouldn't even be a producer again period after what she did on Ninninger. The others who got fucked on SS (ex. Utsunomiya, TakaP, Mochizuki) were only trying to repair the massive damage she wrought. But at that point it was like trying to repair a gaping open wound with a dollar store bandaid. >Sadly the likeliest person to get picked for Reiwa 10 given the interviews and that by that time he'd have spent 4 years demoted which seems to be the bare minimum of a testing period to get reinstated as a producer, is MinatoProduction milestones like Decade and Zi-O are far bigger than year anniversaries like Fourze and Revice. It'll either be Shirakura or Takebe. Count on it.
>>24036911>This is the only time she told the staff and cast that this is her last show and the first time she's talked about moving on from showsI don't know if you're legit retarded or what, but that was not an actual confirmation that My-Th would be her last TV show, making something with the mindset that this might be your last work isn't the same as it being your actual last work. Yeah, it's clear that she's thinking about retiring, but she hasn't made it official yet.>Now you're just moving the goalpost, the pre-production process isn't a full year, mentoring is heading a show while teaching the ropes to a vice producer like Shirakura did with Matsuura and Takebe, or what him and Tsukada did with Minato where they oversaw him far moreYou're the one trying to determine what counts as mentoring by establishing a set of specific and arbitrary goalposts. We saw how Shirakura was very involved in Gavan Infinity's pre-production because there was a whole behind the scenes series about it that they recorded, and he even wanted to take responsibility for Kuji if the project failed.
>>24036921Oh my god that's the guy who made the pink ranger marry him
>>24036919Anniversary shows aren't the kind of works one should experiment with, they should focus on fanservice. It's why Decade and Zi-O were so wonky overall and why they shined the most when they leaned hard on the fanservice aspect.Minato could be really good at this as long as Shirakura doesn't come and whisper some nonsense into his ear like he did with Matsuura.
>>24036922>>24036925>She shouldn't even be a producer again period after what she didEvery single Rider show she made at that point were financial successes, OOO in particular remained the best selling Rider season of all time until Zi-O and is so far the last show where Rider was the best selling toy in all of Japan>but that was not an actual confirmationI'm aware of the Go-Onger situation but with rumors of Shirakura retiring and them being fine multiple times to leaving milestones shows to newbies means that she isn't the defacto choice to be picked for the anniversary>Don't be a disingenuousHow does that dismiss any of my points, Matsuura was appointed with them knowing it'd be the last Sentai, that also doesn't dismiss the Revice situation, Gokaiger was barely Utsunomiya's second show>Zi-OHe was picked because at that point Omori was the only producer that hadn't be demoted, he also didn't willingly make the show as he was coerced by the board of directors, unless Kuji and Yanaka do massive fuckups next years there's no reason to appoint Shirakura nor Tsukada to do this since they haven't appointed any executive to head shows ever since Takebe got to keep her position after Geats since ever since they've had 2 producers acting simultaneously again>You're the one trying to determine what counts as mentoring I don't know about you but counting a guy who they've only worked properly together for like 3 months as a mentor over someone who continuously actively supervised them for a whole year makes no sense to me, specially since it doesn't seem Shirakura had much to do with Omegahorn since he said he was frustrated how it being such a departure from Gavan could make the interconnected worldview idea more complicated later, he just forced Kuji to "make a reboot" and "to bridge Sentai and Project R.E.D"
>>24036931Fair but idk I love Fourze and Boukenger yet both don't have a focus on crossover, but yeah if Minato gets to at least be creative and apply his fanservice the way he wants then it could be greatBut with Shirakura always forcing the producers to go full meta or do Decade 2 that seems unlikely, I wish Tsukada had more of a hand with anniversary stuff since stuff like Foundation X was a step in the right direction so he could probably steer thing into a more cohesive narrative rather than just focusing on being flashy like Shirakura wants
>>24036933>I don't know about you but counting a guy who they've only worked properly together for like 3 months as a mentor over someone who continuously actively supervised them for a whole year makes no sense to meWell, you do count Minato as a pupil of Shirakura.
>>24036938>Fair but idk I love Fourze and Boukenger yet both don't have a focus on crossoverI mean, both of those shows could have perfectly existed without an anniversary year though. And, also, they didn't have to deal with legacy merchandising in the show itself that the 10th Reiwa series likely will have to do.
>>24036940Because in that case they said Tsukada and Shirakura oversaw him into proper production which is the only time that has happened, but yeah even I'll admit I'm stretching with that one since they never really specified for how long they "oversaw" him
>>24036947>the only time that has happened in Reiwa*I had forgotten about Suzuki eventually helping with Kuuga>>24036944>And, also, they didn't have to deal with legacy merchandising in the show itself that the 10th Reiwa series likely will have to doYou're right, honestly really wonder how they'll handle old actors returning or if Minato will take advantage of having previously headed crossover stuff like Outsiders, Girls Remix and Legend to connect them into Reiwa 10
>>24036931> they shined the most when they leaned hard on the fanservice aspect.Half yes and half no. Zi-O at its worst was Q1 where the tributes were pretty half assed and ended with them being permanently rewritten and the final arc where Decade’s retarded lore shit on everything. Hibiki and Kabutos tribute had two retarded decisionsIt mainly shined in the Agito and White Woz arcs
> You're right, honestly really wonder how they'll handle old actors returning or if Minato will take advantage of having previously headed crossover stuff like Outsiders, Girls Remix and Legend to connect them into Reiwa 10That’s an absolutely terrible idea. Which obviously means it’s going to happen.
>>24036967>That’s an absolutely terrible idea. Which obviously means it’s going to happen.Pretty much, specially with the difficulty when it comes to getting actors back but also each season being so standaloneThe only writer I might trust to do juggle so much stuff like that is Aikawa but I can't imagine him ever accepting a work like this after how Decade turned out, so sadly either Uchida or Takahashi are the likeliest people for Minato to pick
>>24036969I'll take Uchida, he wrote Girls Remix, the Legend stuff and the better episodes of Outsiders. Takahashi would probably just wank his own shows over the rest like he did in Outsiders.
Hypothesis: My-th will do a episode with Sora gets his belt swapped with one of the Zodiac belts, revealing that his ability to transform without a buckle is something inherent to him or his bloodline, and that there's nothing special or modified about his own belt.
>>24036973>Takahashi would probably just wank his own shows over the rest like he did in Outsiders.I don't get what is this meme. It's not like Takahashi was the one deciding on the form debuts. He wrote the Evol-X episode in Outsiders and that just had Zero-One characters getting beaten down.
>>24036983We already know something is up with Sora's ability to transform. Needing Yuna's permission to transform or even return to normal seems to be far more than psychological.
>>24036973>Takahashi would probably just wank his own showsI don't think Takahashi would do that since he's really a hardcore fan of Kamen Rider, however I'd take Uchida over just because he's been picked way too often, we really need more variety in writers like in late Heisei and I'd imagine even Uchida works with episode writers the show would feel really different of Gotchard out of the virtue of him being the sole head writer

>>24037139There's something going on with Yuna too. What with her seemingly being incredibly important to grow into an adult naturally. From all the iconography in the opening it seems like she'll most likely be targeted and killed even, and through means the show will become a time travel plot about protecting Yuna and not letting her get killed. >>24037102What. Evol-X was basically the one carrying Zein in his debut episode, saving him from Zero Three, then taking over the Foundation X guy, then stopping Zero Three when it attempt to get to Zein again. He's actually sidelined in comparison in the finale. Although note Zein was basically mass produced there due to pulling the multiple AU Zeins while there was only one Evol-X and the new upgrade debuted defeating Evol-X, like you say rather than being used against Zein.
>>24037158Honestly it could be either
There should be two all-in-one Final Forms, one is all Zodiacs and one is all non-Zodiacs for My-th and Rid.

>>24037256>Turns out Kamen Rider is another mid-budget show
>>24036794I'm surprised by just how much of the worldview was by Nakazawa since I don't remember him being THIS hands on with any of his previous Rider and Sentai Show's besides Gekiranger, it also seems that just like Kiramager almost every aspect of the world building was decided before Arakawa came into production but in this instance it seems that at least after the pre-production Arakawa has mostly unlimited freedom, or at least until the Dino Rider debuts
>>24037298>He just shows up at the end to save his ass and leave, he did nothing else.>Oh wow, he followed the orders and assimilated the disposable partner of the actual mastermind.>He just shows up to throw the world merge card at the main villain and fight Zero-Three in the background so Zein can go kill Yuuto before all of them decide to leave. The plan was Zein's, but like you've just proved, once Evol-X arrives he was doing everything and he was the villain highlighted to be defeated by the new power up in the finale rather than Zein. Also, the villain he's working with is another Foundation X guy rather than his backstory being tied to Zero-One lore, unlike the Zein system itself.>he's not even the real Evolto but rather a last minute clone created by the main villain to aid in his plan. Probably because they didn't want to contradict some possible future Build content with actual Evolt.

>>24037368>once Evol-X arrives he was doing everythingNo, he wasn't doing everything, he was effectively a henchman for the main villain who was just there so that Zein could keep showing off. He didn't have a proper fight until the last episode, which is the same one in which he died to a Takahashi Rider.>Also, the villain he's working with is another Foundation X guy rather than his backstory being tied to Zero-One lore, unlike the Zein system itself. The guy he was working with, who's also his creator, was the one behind Zein and the true mastermind of the whole series' conflict. He ends up becoming Zein's final user too, because his big plan hinges on Zein's powers.
>>24037416>No, he wasn't doing everything,So, what did Zein even do there at that point aside from summoning his clones? It was Evol-X doing everything. He fought again solo after being rescued by Evol-X the first time, just to lose again to Zero-Three.>who's also his creator, was the one behind Zein and the true mastermind of the whole series' conflict.Ecole never created Zein. He just planned to take it over. Like, did you forget that part of your own complaints about Outsiders is that Zein is basically a Zero-One character?Ecole on the other hand is only tied to Foundation X, there's nothing Zero-One specific about his character. When we get Ecole's exposition he goes on about pollution and such, nothing about Humagears or anything Zero-One related.>He didn't have a proper fight until the last episode,Because Evol-X easily defeated Zero Three in the previous episode. Like at the end of the skirmishes he kicks Zero-Three away and Zero-Three just goes off-screen. There is a reason the upgrade in the final episode was hyped up against Evol-X, not Zein. And, yeah the upgrade was from a Takahashi show, but you know it's not Takahashi that would decide something like that. This same episode has the AUs Zeins giving all returning Riders opponents and allowing them to show off beating them rather than being stuck fighting grunts or even losing. We've seen much worse under other writers. Like even the first Girl Remix with Jeanne and Aguilera and Heisei Gen Final ended with most other Riders just stuck with grunts. The later Girl Remixes seemed to realize that flaw and have more boss type opponents for the other characters... in spite of that the last battle of the final one with Eins has several returning Riders just jobbing to Fatale. I don't get how you're all revolted by Outsiders supposedly shafting other shows, but is fine with something like that.

>>24037646>>24037650I mean, W and Fourze show it could work. That said, limiting the storytelling like that would just lead to repetition.
I'm almost done with Revice, watched the Hyper Battle DVD 2 with the alternate universe Karizakis and it was a lot of fun.I think that's the big problem with the last third of Revice, it just stopped having fun. I don't know what sort of writing was going on but the whole story is just getting too dark and broody. I get it's about demons and all, but early Revice could laugh and goof around, everyone's just sour faces and depression, and Vice barely jokes anymore.
>>24037737Revice is bad the whole way through but it's different kinds of bad
>>24037742No I liked the first half with Deadmans and different forms and the homages to older series. It's when Weekend and all the color got sapped out that it started to drag.
>>24037746The first half was bad too
>>24037747I don't agree.
>>24037737>I get it's about demons and allIMHO one of the issues with Revice is how quickly the "Demon on your Shoulder" plot is dropped. Vice initially seemed to represent some hardcore resentment Ikki harbours towards to his mom. But as the show goes on he goes from chaotic force to domesticated puppy that was always good actually. Kagerou probably stayed the most consistent until his death and rebirth, also Evil having a really strong Rider design absolutely did wonders for him. I like Lovekof but as far as the devil on your shoulder gimmick, Sakura pretty much took that role with how insufferable she was.

>>24037547>So, what did Zein even do there at that point aside from summoning his clones? It was Evol-X doing everything.Zein was the one fusing the worlds (because the villains' plan revolves entirely around its powers), Evol-X was just there as literal support for him. Evol-X didn't have a proper fight until the last episode (which the Zein clones also had), while Zein spent the whole series since his debut having highlight fights and only started getting beaten when Zero-Three (who was created by uniting the powers of all 3 of Takahashi's shows at the time) showed up.>Ecole never created Zein. He just planned to take it over.I'm pretty sure he said that he was behind the whole plan to empower it (which also included it becoming a physical Rider) at least.>Ecole on the other hand is only tied to Foundation X, there's nothing Zero-One specific about his character. When we get Ecole's exposition he goes on about pollution and such, nothing about Humagears or anything Zero-One related. His entire plan still revolves around the Zein A.I., just like the series as a whole, and he still ends up becoming Zein himself.>Evol-X easily defeated Zero Three in the previous episode. It was literally a short background fight without special effects where Evol-X just shoved Zero-Three out of sight at the end to leave the scene after Ecole and Yuuto had their important moment together. This is not the highlight you make it up to be.>There is a reason the upgrade in the final episode was hyped up against Evol-X, not Zein.Evol-X dies to a Takahashi Rider's big upgrade the first time we actually see it in a proper fight, yes.>but you know it's not Takahashi that would decide something like that.None of this stuff was retail, it was all P-Bandai TTFC stuff for which we know that the creative staff from the Toei side does have more of a say.

>>24037547>Like even the first Girl Remix with Jeanne and Aguilera and Heisei Gen Final ended with most other Riders just stuck with gruntsFirst of all, the first Girls Remix literally ended with all the girls ganging up on the main villain. Second of all, Heisei Gen Final was a crossover movie between Build and Ex-Aid first and foremost, the previous leads were basically guests (partly because some of their actors were too busy to appear for an extended period of time).>in spite of that the last battle of the final one with Eins has several returning Riders just jobbing to Fatale. At least Uchida didn't wank a Rider with the powers from a show he personally wrote by doing this.>I don't get how you're all revolted by Outsiders supposedly shafting other shows, but is fine with something like that.Outsiders is a multi-part franchise-wide crossover that doesn't have the name of any Rider in the title and was tailor made to bring back smaller actors from across the franchise, but mainly revolved around a Zero-One Rider and half the returning characters were from Takahashi shows.
>>24037767>Kagerou probably stayed the most consistent until his death and rebirthThat might have to do with the fact that he rarely showed up after the Evil-Live introductory arc was over.

My-Th taiiiimu
So next week we're getting eagle then the week after we're getting both Mutn and the first confrontation between My-Th and Maou right? Also My-Th in 1 minute and new eye catch with Vanken
So is the anthology Vakrn carried based on something?
Is sthis implying that all birds hunt couples?
Vanken has a pretty cool and collected fighting style
That Rider Kick was awesomeAlso damn someone died
Like it when they shows the monster actually being dangerous
Man, Vanken is going to be besides himself when he finds out that Seperade attacks actually save the human host.
I'm glad we're getting more respite between Tatsuomi and Tigre
>>24037966I like how much of a good teacher and friend Tigre is
It's Jyao and Vanken time.
Sora's magic tail duster that can change package stamps
I like how comfy the OST isMaybe I'm misremembering because I don't like Gotchard but I don't remember its comfy tracks being used that often, maybe it's because they spent so much time in the alchemy academy rather than on the actual school
nooo his eggies
Vanken and Mutn seem like actually nice peopleAlso I guess this is implying Kamuri needs the eggs in a similar way as Yuna does
>>24037973Vanken is very much a real hero type it seems and Mutn seems to like him too.
I can't believe Maou will eat all the eggs...
Finally, annoying ghost sighting streamers being eaten by monsters live on left behind smartphones
>>24037976Yeah, I was under the impression the alliance were going to be a bunch of assholes and that Tigre was the exception, but in reality it seems most of them are nice while Datt, Jyao and Maou are the only actual jerks, then Ende is just an autistNow I wonder how the other 3 they're yet to shown will fare out
A wild snake appears
This episode has surprisingly good directionI wish Hayama got more freedom to do episodes like this more often
Yuns is more sleepy than the last heroine who was named sleep.
Jyao so fruity
That was such a faggy henshin poseI guess it's fitting for his type of character
Jyao's fighting style is way weirder than I was expectingAlso it's a shame that whenever we'll see the bike it seems the special effects will tank
Well, Jyao gives absolutely no fucks if he destroys buildings or whatever.
Finally, My-Th loses. That's how you write them good.Love the use of tails among the Riders
Yuna needs her eggs...
So will Tatsuomi feed Yuna eggs?
>>24038004Wouldn't be surprised.
How was My-th's fifth episode?
>>24038010Cool and good. I like that Vankan actually just wants to do hero stuff and that Jyao is a fruity psychopath.

>>24038010Really great, despite the gravity of Yuna's safety the episode manage to have plenty of bond time between Sora and Tatsuomi. We got to see Sora lose for the first time and a zodiac member win twice which is refreshing after not being able to see Datt in her A game and then the only one we saw proper being Rid who's a newbie. Vanken is immediately likable and in glad that the episode manage to fit some scenes with Tigre and Mutn without the episode feeling bloated. Jyao is a fun asshole so far. My only complaint is that Vanken's fight was a bit too short. Also it seems that Akira will not reappear for a while and instead just mail most of his eggs.
>>24038028Actually I do have a second complaint, I didn't like the CGI for the bike scenes this EP, everything else about the fights were great but I don't get why the bike scenes are so CGI heavy this time rather than how they'd handle it in Zeztz, I don't know if it's because the frame of the bike is way heavier this time or because they've been using it in mostly narrow spaces.

>>24037973Considering the actor not appearing on Mutn actress birthday photo, he's going to be killed
>>24038054Considering how Takebe acted with Gavv I honestly feel that Tigre, Oroc and whatever Akira is might be the only ones that will die.I also feel that Tigre might get a second user because of the whole deal that Arakawa mentioned about most of the kindergarteners that will be watching My-Th being born in the year of the Tiger. Or maybe Tigre will not die at all, the only reason I'm assuming he'll die is because it feels like something they'd do to setup an upgrade for Rid.
>>24038065It's also that Tigre just seems decent and friendly, which is red flag territory.
What's the implication of Jyao saying henshin? They obviously didn't forget since Vanken said Metamorphosis but I do t think they've explained yet why Tatsuomi uses both.
Miss this chick, she was so hot.
The official blog addressed the overlap on actors and they comfirmed they're doing it for scheduling purposes: https://www.kamen-rider-official.com/my-th/06/So if they ever need the two characters with the same suit actor to fight together they'll just bring a new actor like they'd did with Zero and Nox last year or how they'll do for that scene they showed where the zodiac are fighting together despite Rid and Vanken sharing a suit actor.>>24038081Then just follow the actress' socials?
>>24038038Funny that they recreated the scene but because Knight's SKC figure isn't out yet or even announced for that matte they just left him out.
>>24038088>Then just follow the actress' socials?I already do, but most things she's in are exclusive to Japanese movie theaters or live stages. I cannot watch her recent movies even if I want to. Her Kamen Rider stuff is the easiest to pirate.
Cute how all the oldies have taken to saying "henshin" as well, even after the "metamorphosis"
>>24038079I feel Metamorphosis is just a pre-Henshin quote like how some of the Riders in Ex-Aid doing it (Brave's "Proceeding to Level 2," Snipe's "Game Start," etc)They always use Henshin.
>>24038079>>24038098"Henshin" is a completely new word that was invented in the time between Taisho and modern day. They've deliberately shown through Datt, Tatsuomi and Tigre that the Zodiacs have been going around acclimating to the modern world they've woken up to (it's also an elaborate excuse to throw in the iconic callout). Old My-Th and Maou clearly didn't say "henshin" in the Ep1 flashback."Metamorphosis" would've been a fancy loan word they borrowed from foreigners back in the Taisho era anyway. It was the historical period where some Western culture was starting to bleed into Japan
>>24038038>Scissors before Knight and Zolda>when they ALREADY showed both off before Bruh
>>24038091They actually showed the Knight SS at an event a while back. Zolda's too.

Vanken does feel guilty for not being able to save the victims.Hope Tatsuomi could reveal the secret to him soon and they can find a way to separate the victims like MY-TH.
Vanken and Tiger have enough red flags to fill a stadium.
>>24038046>evolts CiaoFun>>24038028I think Vanken's fight being short works to showcase the difference between the top Zodiacs and My-Th. What took him half an episode to do, Vanken was able to do in less than 4 minutes. They're effective, super strong, and direct in their approach.
>>24038148I'd imagine Tatsuomi might share the detail on episode 8 since judging by the reveal trailer of My-Th it should be around 7 or 8 that Maou will fight him for the first time
>>24038148He's going to see firsthand when My-Th defeats the monster next week instead of Jyao and realize he can kill them while saving the victims they trap. And he will just tell everyone else that, blowing Mao's secret wide open. Probably why he ends up cutting Jyao as his actions directly caused this.

Nyelv is the third rider and Yuna is the direct descendants of Kamuri's real identity.
>>24038171You mean Nylev's actor is the dino guy?
>>24038174Anon is guessing because the name of the character Nyelv plays on the extra episodes is a pun on God so he thinks he might be something similar to Tassel where a meta character becomes a main cast member
>>24038171>>24038174Is that why he's been showing up in the TTFC? As a secret tease that he's the next big rider once Q2 premieres? That would be something.
>>24038171If he's the 'god', Q3 probably serves him better. Dino guy should be tied to Ryuz
>>24038175Wouldn't be surprised. It'd mean he's also the Jade Emperor.
>>24038156>I think Vanken's fight being short works to showcase the difference between the top Zodiacs and My-Th. What took him half an episode to do, Vanken was able to do in less than 4 minutes. They're effective, super strong, and direct in their approach. This just makes how they were presented at the start even more jarring. The show starts with them pointing out that My-Th was so quick and efficient at taking Fukashigi out that he was already done with them by the time they arrived at the scene. And then we get Datt's debut where she just gets thoroughly mogged by My-Th.

>>24038187>Setting Mut'n to be a grieving widow
>>24038185That'd make no sense considering how the zodiac riders are framed, it really just seems the ran out of budget for the last few riders since some believe Ende, whom we've already seen is really important as he's allowed to enter Kamuri's room, is also a retool >>24036801
>>24038181nta but I think that's just the result of toy shilling since they weren't able to fit Datt in a 2-parter like they're doing with Vanken so they had to feature both Datt and Turtle in the same episode. The hole on my theory is Mutn.
>>24038190Well, more thinking that the fact he's not around. Maybe the Ox seat is shared by the stooges.
>>24038192Farus and Whore also aren't around and the Ox is kind of an important animal in the legend which honestly makes it weirder that he's a retool. With how the Riders are constantly on missions I think they're just on a longer mission at the start.
>>24038194It's possible Toei just didn't consider the importance. Or that Oroc's suit is temporary thing. Maybe he ended up Kaijin'd.... Maybe he was the one who killed Sora and Yuna's parents.
>>24038199>the one who killed Sora and Yuna's parentsIt's Dr. Maki
>>24038204Red herring from the guy whose name is basically a roundabout pun for dragon
>>24038191Toy shilling has nothing to do with the piece of dialogue from the Alliance that implies My-Th is more efficient at killing monsters than them, and it was as simple as just writing scenarios where both Datt and Turtle Frame looked good like other multi-Rider shows that have had more than one Rider/form debuting in the same episode. This issue was all on the writing.

>>24038229Anon, all due respect, but when the speculation hits the point of "They could be lying," that ultimately kills the conversation. Because now anything could be a lie and the show is no longer reliable as reference.
>>24038232And with all due respect, not considering red herring would limit the conversationTo begin with, I'm also 50% on him actually being Ryuz. The puns in the name are so obvious, that is also another red herring

There's not a lot of legroom in the looney tunes lineup for them, and while there's plenty with Disney, my autism wanted to keep this idea in WB properties, MGM got a pass because they fit the character and it's owned by WB now anyway so it's more interminglable. I mean if we're including Disney too, then scrap Sylvester, put in Peg Leg Pete for Maou. By itself it could work for pointing out how out of place he is with the cast, but it still leaves those other three and they should line up with WB properties, yeah? I'd also like to add that people thought Tatsuomi's name had something to do with dragon yet the interview said that was just a coincidence and the true meaning was a kotatsu pun.The only way I could see him being Ryuz is due to the whole timeline fuckery going on when they show Yuna and Sora picking up the driver.
>>24038229>That could just be a made up lieThat'd be dumb and would make the show worse for it. I don't get why you want him to be Ryuz so badly instead of the Q2 Rider?

>>24038471I'm a bit disappointed by Arakawa, the characters are solid as expected, but the flow of the story has been kinda janky.
>>24038723nta I'm personally fine with it so far since the mysteries are engaging and the episods don't feel bloated imo, but if I had to guess what's different>first time writing solo, although tbf there were barely any episodes in Kuuga he didn't write>the interviews revealed he didn't come up with most of the story setup of My-Th like how it happened with Kiramager, which back in Kiramager led to the show feeling safe, Takebe doesn't take things safe but she does things messily>This is the biggest cast he's ever handledSo probably a mix of all that is why it feels jank to a lot of people
>>24038738>since the mysteries are engagingI don't think most of them are, I have no idea why they chose to be so vague at the start if they're gonna telegraph them so much and give answers so soon after setting them up.
>>24038742I feel it's unfair to judge the show on stuff that hasn't happened yet, I mean before the show started people were saying that for sure most of the Riders would be dead by the second half yet thanks to the actors' birthdays we know most of them are alive by the 30s, so we'll see in November whether Tigre is alive or not since that's when the actor has his birthday. The main mystery about what's up with the belt since we see both Yuna and Sora picking it up at the same spot, what's the Fukashigi's goal and why the Zodiac had a fallout could go either way.If I had to guess why they went this approach it is to devote most of the early episodes to character writing without it affecting the pacing or that they wanted to replicate how in Kuuga you had almost 0 context for what's going on, if it's the latter I wonder if it was even Arakawa's decision since he hasn't gone for that approach for any of his shows since Kuuga and to be that vague was Takatera's idea back in the day rather than Arakawa's.
>>24038756I wasn't talking about theories like Tigre dying, I'm talking about the flow of the story and the mysteries that were set up in the show.It doesn't make much sense to me why the show had to start with both sides acting so mysterious, when they later make it clear that Sora barely knows anything about his powers and the setting anyways, he's only privy to stuff concerning his own past. It's almost like the story only started out like this to seem more mysterious than it actually is.The way they've handled the Fukashigi is weird too, the characters keep talking about them without explaining what they know about them even though they established that Yuna set up a club where civilians can inform them about incidents regarding the Fukashigi, and Sora outright gets Tatsuomi involved in a plan to beat one of them a few episodes later without having ever told him what these monsters are or what he knows about them outright. Their evolution storyline is paced very weirdly too, they introduced it without us having a frame of reference of what they were normally like, they're already evolving at the start of the show and we learn that because the Alliance somehow found that out off-screen, then the first Alliance member we see in action ends up struggling a lot against one because of said trait, then the second one struggles a little less despite being a rookie, and then the next two just dominate the ones they face against as if they weren't stronger than "usual", this storyline just hasn't had a good sense of progression far. Then we have the "mystery" of why Yuna gets fed Seed X-Eggs, which is already half answered by episode 5. They also start out giving very vague snippets about her and Sora's childhood incident, only to drop a long flashback of it by the 4th episode. The hobo guy that's clearly important to the plot just walking into the scene during his introduction and the flashback is a really weird way to introduce a character like this.
>>24038816Oh, and they're not even making an effort to hide the fact that Kamuri's a big liar and not as good of a person as he presents himself.
>>24038756>If I had to guess why they went this approach it is to devote most of the early episodes to character writing without it affecting the pacingProblem with this is that it did the opposite, like for example Tatsuomi spending most of his proper introduction searching for documents about Sora and Yuna's past instead of directly interacting with them.
>>24038602Nope. You know the whole two timelines thing? That's also a red herring.
>>24038830nta but his proper introduction is the 3rd episode though, episode 2 is Datt's introduction who was introduced poorly But Tatsuomi has gotten to interact with the cast proper every single other episode so far so I really don't see the issueI can't help but feel that people would hate Kuuga and early Hibiki if they aired today purely for them being vague too since Kuuga's mystery also wasn't complex either but since the focus was character writing and world building which were done well everyone loved themSame deal I see happening with Kazuhiro Fujita's works where people don't care much about his current manga for being vague and focusing more on the main duo and worldview despite the writing being about as good as his other works yet both it and My-Th are doing well in Japan.... I think? The latter I'm going purely off from Japanese social media but that really isn't enough of a coherent metric to know so we won't know until we get something like how when Shirakura commenting on Zeztz

>>24038860>This threadTo be fair I've seen similar complaints on other western and SEA forums, not just with My-Th but with shounens that try to go old school in modern day so I feel it's a matter of modern western audiences preferring being front loaded with information JJK style over stuff like thisBut I'm a 23 year old latinamerican and I'm enjoying My-Th so really I don't fucking know
>>24038860>>24038870Also I should note I'm not saying stuff like JJK is bad or can't do mystery, I mean early Geats was good at establishing mysteries early on, I'm just saying that the west and SEA audiences in general seems to prefer stories not starting vague these days for some reasonI remember the first person that wasn't from family that I met that watched toku in my country hating Kuuga for similar reasons and because he apparently thought Godai was too generic
>>24038860V3 ruined Rider. Everything after that sucked ass
>>24038181Vanken is higher ranked that Datt so he'd naturally be stronger.
>>24038860Well yeah Kuuga is massively overrated and kind of shit
>>24038908Incredibly shit taste
>>24038853>>24038860>>24038870>>24038877Kuuga had a way better sense of progression and was paced far better than My-Th, it and Hibiki didn't try to make either the protagonist or the POV character "mysterious" as well because they didn't feel the need to introduce a bunch of pointless plot "mysteries" around them that they were gonna answer within the first 5 episodes anyways.I know exactly what well-executed early Heisei shows are like, so pulling the ADHD newfag card on me is not gonna work. My-Th has several kinds of pacing issues and it's not just the vagueness that is the problem.>nta but his proper introduction is the 3rd episode though, episode 2 is Datt's introduction who was introduced poorlyEpisode 2 is when we finally see him as a main character instead of a victim of the week and they establish his dynamic with the other leads, he gets more focus in it than Datt herself did, right down to having inner monologues to know what his true intentions are. Episode 3 is Rid's debut and does some set up for his character arc, but it's not his introduction as a main character because that already happened in the previous one.>But Tatsuomi has gotten to interact with the cast proper every single other episode so far so I really don't see the issueBarely, it wasn't until episodes 4 & 5 when he finally felt more involved with Sora and Yuna instead of just merely eavesdropping on their business or doing his own thing for the most part.
>>24038903>Vanken is higher ranked that DattAccording to who or what? The show has only established 3 ranks within the Alliance so far: the leader, the subordinate Zodiac Riders (some of which are personally closer to Kamuri than others), and the low rank members that aren't part of the elite Zodiac sub-group.

>>24038877>JJK is badNo, you're right. It is and every person that is a public fan of it is a retard that shouldnt be taken seriously
