If you're seasoned, don't make the newbies worry! And don't forget to report shitposting and spam. Constructive criticism?
guys i want to get at least one gquacks kitwhich one would you get if you could get only one?
>>24066405Definitely Hambrabi
>>24063017That wanzer is called the Tiran, Yokoyama made that very early in the Front Mission franchise, so the Tiran has changed significantly over the Front Mission game releases over the years. The Front Mission Structure Arts kit series was the only time the Tiran was made into a plastic kit, but its the current version of the Tiran, which is pretty different than the Yokoyama design. There is another wanzer called the Schakal (on the right) that has a similar vibe.
>>24066410A few squads of front mission wanzers vs mechwarrior squads how does it pan out?
Are the dry transfers that come with the ball ver. Ka any good or should I grab some chinese waterslides?>>24066405I like the Gyan but its hands fucking suck. The Gelgoog looks cool.
>>24066405The zaku. The gyan or gelgoog are good options too.
>>24066427They're fine, but applying them on curved surfaces may be a bit tricky
>>24066427>>24066431whats with the jimgoog love? It wasn't downright ugly but it was pretty unremarkable, besides being an offense to googfags of the world. Hambrabi was probably the best gcucks redesign
>>24066405Hambrabi
>>24066400ZAKU I A SHIT
>>24066474>:o WTF
>>24066480I like this design so much, but what sucks is the complete misunderstanding about the zimmerit. I think it would have been just as cool if they put the zimmerit on the legs of the Doga.
Zimmerman?
>>24066405Dom is the only good one
>>24066486You can just not use the zimmerit parts
>>24066489I'm tired of you creatures.
>>24066486Don't worry bro. You will be able to do your own zimmerit.
>>24066491No! I want them to do everything for me!
>>24066491Sorry for criticizing retardation bro. I see stupidity and I just can't help but comment.
>>24066461It's a neat budget kit that manages to do a lot with a low parts count. That said, I fucking hate that it's called a Gelgoog.
Only been in the hobby for 2 years and already feel like the current year is a dark age compared to the first, there's like barely any actual releases between all brands
>>24066397group build sneak peak
>>24066397
>>24066405"Gelgoog" easily
>>24066580Beautiful hand
>>24066569If you've only been doing this for two years there's so many things you could buy that you don't need to worry about new releases
>>24066569this isn't video games. There literally decades of choices for you to splurge on
>>24066592But it's the same for video games?
>>24066491It comes with its own zimmerit tool? Is that the coolest single thing ever inside a gunpla box?
favorite action base/alternative stand option? something cost effective ideally, Bandai's are kinda unreasonably priced for their size honestly
>>24066600I like Good Smile's The Simple stands.
>>24066599You jest but it's actually pretty cute they put that in.
china wins
>>24066608>China wins by making a worse bootleg of something someone else already made
Starship Troopers OVA inspired Panheadtried some different weathering things on here, not taking any of them too far so its an odd hodgepodge
>>24066623
If this is true, there's a possibility the bootleg of the Ex-S is straight up superior to the original.
>>24066634It's not hard to beat, honestly.
>>24066627Lookin nice though I'm not a fan of that gatling paintjob
>>24066643when I mixed the paint it seemed a bit more of a difference between the barrels and the other bits, and I thought the body would come out darker
>>24066405tldr Hammy >>> Richard Dom >> Gyan > Red > else>got Gqux and Red Gundam for cheap>was nice having a red Gundam but that's about it, design aesthetic's weird>likewise for Gqux and it's just sitting there>Rick Doms having a third leg thruster thing was a neat idea>love Gyans>the Hambrabi has way more articulation than the old one, might be a neat and fun war criminalBRAW BRO WHEN
>>24066634PC as in Polycaps not Polycarbonate, right? Also won't POM ruin expensive nippers?
>>24066634I never heard of the MG EXS ever being floppy though
>>24066720That's because it's not.
Has anyone here made funnel effects for the MGSD kshtriya? Had the HG in my backlog for years and not been up to doing anything with it, I'd like for the MGSD to not sit around for too long. Was just thinking of getting some acrylic rods and heating to shape.
>>24066602I'm not even joking, I think it's cool as hell
>>24066480I wonder if Makoto Kobayashi is gonna bitch about this one too and claim he came up with it first
After searching for what hand brushing paints to invest in, i got stuck on pic related. I've seen mixed opinions on the mecha brand when it comes to hand brushing and that the mr hobby ones dry really fast. Any advice and opinions are welcome
>>24066771acrysion is the one rec for brushing btw, aqueous is typically still rec for airbrush
>>24066396I'll submit some better pics but here are some quick snaps of my submission
Why do you guys think it is so hard to do a good interpetetion of RX-78's design beyond just reproducing it one-to-one? It feels like other iconic ms designs such as the Zaku don't have this issue. Meanwhile we have four modern 1/144 renditions of it and the three stylized ones (beyond global, origin, rg 2.0) look off or outright bad.>inb4 that's just your opinionYeah, but I thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss with my fellow autists.
>>24066569Lol what? Takara Tomy is releasing in droves these past few months. Where were you?
>>24066771I personally only ever used vallejo, ionic and AK, they're all pretty similar and easily sourceable in europeAK and ionic are slightly cheaper and have a mixing ball inside so I've been making the shiftDunno what to say they do the job and have their quirks and their problem colors, bit of a learning curve to mix these with the right amount of water
>>24066771To be honest, any major brand is largely fine. It mostly comes down to availability and pricing in your region. Occasionally a specific pigment might be shit but most ranges have one or two like that.
>>24066608>#74903 Nu GundamYawn. What's next, another Barbatos?
>>24066397I am but a humble snapshidder, I painted the arm joints for the victory in white to resemble the way it looks in the manual a bit more + blue to make it look like the second V
Took a photo of the Jagd Doga with better lighting. What a sexy and thicc fella.
>>24066804Feel like you coulda hit the barrels with silver on the gatling gun to break up some of the front, but looks cool, luv me jagds
>>24066777>>24066779>>24066781Unsurprisingly Dijeh wears the Titans scheme like a glove, looks nice though some of the weathering feels a bit less like weathering and more like dust.
>>24066812I'll try that, thanks. Still not very good with detailing on smaller parts + coloring guns.
>>24066798Beautiful
>>24066798I don't usually mind Bandai hands but when they hit they really hit
meanwhile at ktbky
Bandai LOST
>>24066771AK Interactive are my favorite, followed by Acrysion. Vallejo is normally pretty good too, though I've gotten some paints from them that turned out to be terrible.
>>24066397Much more symmetrical looking today. Need a third pass on the original shoulder though. I had a much better process for the second shoulder, as things tend to go. Clearance for the gun isn't as bad as I anticipated so I can minimize the modifications to it. I'm going to call it the Hermes, from Silver Bullet > Quicksilver > Mercury > Hermes, plus it's a bit tangentially related to the Icarus unit so it all works pretty well I think.
SMP Dragon Kaiser
>>24066834>20k yenFUCK YOU
>>24066859The plastic is really good though. Way less sanding needed
>>24066778It needs the Okawara proportions to look good, mainly for the face. The only good redesigns are those that give it an angry, mean look like the Katoki one.
>>24066397I got this ν Gundam Ver.Ka rework finished. The XP long range funnel is not great, but I've built worse. Most of the issues I ran into were that tolerances were too tight, so some sanding was needed to make everything move smoothly. I opens and closes just fine now though.

Bandai Hobby LOST
>>24066859It's 13k yen unless you meant 20k is together with Exkaiser. You almost gave me a scare.
Just snapshidded this chibi Woundwort. It's so small and cute.
>hammer doesnt move>not even a trigger THESE CHINKS CANT DO NOTHIN RIGHT
It's up
>>24066966Comes with 1/144 human models
>>24066966Is that a plamo, resin or statue/ figurine?
>>24066970It's a plastic model but don't expect any articulation
>>24066975I see. That's fine, I'll probably get it just because it looks cool. I don't really care much about articulation since even the gunpla poses I usually do are just basic bitch guns pointing/ mid jump types.
first hgs
>>24066960They need to rip the bandaid off and go full futa. Theres too many girlpla lines going on to do this halfway shit.
>>24066798Bud you're not a snapshitter anymore.
Have you preordered your metal frame PGU Nu for $100?
>>24067014No if I wanted a PG Nu I wouldve preordered the Bandai one last year. I don't care for the design enough to buy a model that big of it.
