Mapsweepers seems like it could be an improvement on Horde, but either there are too few weapons to choose from or the UI layout doesn’t make it as easy to buy weapons. If I try buying some weapons, like the AK-47, it may also say that I had already bought them on the screen despite them not showing up in my inventory.
