I'm going to assume the live action movie will be a full decade after the animated movie. If people like this movie, that's cool, I don't see the appeal. I understand people worked hard on it, maybe they wanted to share something special, I didn't see it reflected in the characters and story. Not only did this come out when MLP was on its way out the door, it's the bare minimum for a kids movie. The Sponge Bob movie from 2004 being a great example of a kids flick. Great characters, simple story, great soundtrack and animation still looks good 21 years later. MLP 2017 looked bad back them, it still looks like shit now. If you're going to go back to the G4 well, then understand what your fans want. I believe there is a middle ground between appealing to little kids and the man children who gave this corporation billions of dollars. If the cards are played right you could easily make four or five of these movies over the span of 10 years. Copy what the Sonic movies do, Paramount clearly struck gold there.
It's going to be 3dcg so it's going to be bad. Simple as.
