>Watch entirety of MLP friendship is magic>Supposed to teach me about making friends or something>Still friendless What causes this?
The show doesn't really touch on the fact that friendship takes consistent effort. A lot of people nowadays resent that fact but it's true.
it teaches you about nurturing friendships, not finding them
>>42521969It's because you have shit taste
>>42521969Sucking too much cock
>>42521969It's because you have a fundamentally flawed personality and you're either unwilling or unable to apply the lessons that the show taught you. You can read and learn all you like, but you need to put it into practice to get results. Of course, if that fails, you can come back here and stew in your own inadequacy with the rest of us. Misery loves company.
>>42521969The lessons in MLP unfortunately don't account for autism. The lessons in it are for little girls and girls don't get autism.
>>42521969Pick an /mlp/ circlejerk and hang out thereYou'll have at least one friend by the end of the week
Starlight looks better with her vilain mane style. Her new mane style looks awkward. Like a mullet. I suppose every horse mane is a sort of a thin mullet when you think about it, but Starlight's mane really shows it's just a fucking horse mane not in a good way. There is a lack of volume to her hair.
>>42521980Okay well when you finish up can you address the thread topic please?
>>42522294impossible
>>42521969It's a show made for little girls and the lessons are conditioned to a reasonably affluent, coastal television writer's idea of what that social situation entails and not that of most adult males.
>>42522013this
>>42521985I've experienced similar, but I feel its because I met so few people who are worth getting to know.
>>42522013>>42522378No intended disrespect for MLP but this. MLP intended baseline lessons for making friends with normies, and it's still possible but if you have some form of mental illness/autism/deviancy then you're at a handicap which the show unfortunately didn't account for, you have to keep your power level in check while you're out in the wild. It's still possible to make friends however, but you first must acknowledge that you're fighting an upgill battle and unfortunately you have to figure that part out yourself. Wishing you the best though, Anon. Don't give up and you'll get there eventually. Rooting for you.
>>42522586Uphill* damn it
>>42521985What lessons? Twilight just fell into 5 friends by virtue of being born upper class.
>>42521969deindustrialized society + late late stage capitalism
>>42522019this. stick to your principles and likings and you'll get like-minded people. i met a couple bros on /mlp/ already
>>42522867Your prison gay convention lays don't count>>42522837Some basic ones like "don't judge your friends for being different" and "spend time with your friends" to insidious ones like "use your sex to extract wealth from the opposite sex", the writers were not very smart or moral people
>>42522876i've never been to a con, retard. i've just met internet friends
>>42522876>gay buttsex out of nowhere
>>42521969because you like poochie and have shit taste.>>42521985>personalitylmao shut the fuck up. its about looking good and nothing else.
>>42522902It's more like 70% about looks for same sex friendships and 95% about looks for opposite sex relationships
All of my friends are online, I've never had a romantic relationship despite being 35, how is this all supposed to make you not hate yourself? People are nothing like ponies.
>>42522966
>>42522966just a few years ago i'd tell you from a normie perspective that you're a sad fucktoday i symphatise, because indeed, people are nothing like poniestheir only flaw is their absence of a physical body, at least on this earth
>>42522966when AI overlord takes over the world, it will find a partner just for you. it will check every person on earth just to find that best match, something that no dating/social app can ever achieve
>>42522586I don't think it's possible. I just have one friend I've made online and his brain is just as damaged as mine.
>>42521969>>42521985door-door salesanon hereYou can make friends with just about anybody, ironically, you'll get a ton of "no" but the people are always conditioned to say no or object without it being 100% true, you'll be surprised.here is all it takes nigger.>COMPLIMENTS/INTERESTPEOPLE HAVE INTERESTSthey have something that they're doing (hobbies, projects, etc)they have clothes that they're wearingthey have new merch sometimes the only thing you can talk about is the SHOW, and that's fine.>buh muh how do I get frenBE INTERESTING!!don't pretend to be interested because that immediately turns people off, ask actual genuine (FROM THE HEART) questions about their interests, and compliment anything that stands out to you and that you like, or ask more about the topic at handSOMETIMES PEOPLE even love explaining shit to others (wow what's xyz all about?) or teaching them on topics, use this to bond over. If all else fails then you can even ask them about their OCCUPATION, in a POLITE way (I see you're wearing a shirt with xyz company, I see you have a company car, etc) and ask about what their job is, or how their work day was. >DON'T ARGUE OVER RETARDED SHITThis is more relevant sales wise, but also APPLIES TO FRIENDSHIPSIf someone objects or outright refuses to you (I don't want to, no, im busy doing xyz" then don't fucking argue with them and piss them off, instead ask if there's a reason WHY politely and if you can come back later or etc (is there anything holding you back?, is there something wrong?, etc)cont.

>>42523761>door-door salesanon herei hope you'll do well in life
>>42523761Good advice, but don't call me a cont.
>>42523761>FINALLY THE LAST FUCKING STEPFRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC.Spend time with YOUR FRIENDS, get to KNOW each other so it doesn't feel like a superficial relationship. Maybe even SHARE A MEAL or MEET UP so it doesn't feel like some online bound relationship when you TRUST each other.REALIZE that normies genuinely don't give a shit if you're wearing pony merch, I've met people who're weirder/uglier and despite that they're still PEOPLE and I don't really care to insult or harm them like most normal human beings do. THIS IS ALL, if you have any questions then AMA>>42523774kek
>>42522966What the fuck I don't even have friends online so I even have to post anonymously.
>>42523932You are my friend now :)
>>42521969maybe it's the way you're dressed?
>>42521969Twilight's friends kind of fall into her lap without her even trying, but I like the way Starlight made friends with Trixie. It was basically just a random chance encounter and that's pretty much how I made most of my friends.
>>42521969The fact that FiM is a childrens show. Meant to primarily market towards kids, secondly not being an overtly negative influence meanwhile, thirdly to maybe entertain. They nailed all these key aspects, but the fact of the matter it being a childrens show eternally damns any long lasting internal significance because its messaging is essentially vapid. I keep thinking about the Zecora episode. It teaches racism bad. A noble sympathy with a valiant attempt. But to actually expect any kind of tangible, thought out, reasonable explanation of what racism is, how it develops, why it does so and what positive, negative and neutral effects are derived from it, to expect that in a world of talking ponies, magical princess gods, a world where winter doesn't leave on its own, that is truly crazy. I would like to announce that as a 10-16 year old I was staunchly anti-racist and thought of myself as an enlightened french revolutionary. Nowadays I don't see myself as that, but as very racist, but absolutely not the kind of racist which I see at plenty of spaces. I am this despite appreciating Zecoras episode, because I realize that humans aren't a cartoon pony show written for a 20 minute advertisement. The exact same thing applies to everything the show stands or argues for. Nice sentiments, 99% unapplicable to the abrasive reality it attempts to describe.
