She needs both the hormonal charge, but also needs a lot of foreplay to get her feeling intimate. She wants the romance, the desire, the feelings to come out. The hard-to-get isn't simply a professional front, but an unwritten test to unlock her. She wants the RIGHT person... or to get raped... romantically. The biggest hurdle is that Octavia needs a lot of foreplay, but Vinyl can't navigate it. A lot of their nights end up being out of sync, because Octavia just isn't being wooed by Vinyl correctly. Vinyl just isn't romantic or firing on all cylinders to realize what's going on if Octavia's leading a bit. But sometimes Octavia is feeling aroused from herself and the bar is lowered enough for Vinyl to meet her.Despite both of their longings they just aren't meeting each other in the middle enough to be satisfied with one another leading to a lot of cheating, a lot of break ups, and a lot of coming back together as friends, which will evolve into romance, only for it to cycle again being more toxic as time goes on and baggage builds up. Their friends are in short supply because of their turbulence that ruins much of what goes on around them.
