I've come to like them more and more over the years. I still think the school was a stupid idea, but their characters work.

>>42560080Their character concepts were fine, but nothing interesting was ever done with them. We got that one episode where they face their fears, which had some good ideas, but otherwise they mainly just play to very bland stereotypes, and it's very jarring considering how much sovl was in the M6 episodes even that late in the series.>entire episode where the S6 do literally nothing but bicker aimlessly, then sing a random song while they build a fucking treehouse>immediately followed by an M6 episode where they execute a fucking Mission Impossible heist complete with multiple betrayals, callbacks to tons of episodes, and pretty good exploration on sibling relationships that touches on Twilight/Shining, Twilight/Spike, Fluttershy/Zephyr, and Celestia/Luna, as well as random fun shit like country singer AJ, Flutterspy, and shitloads of callbacksRegardless of what you think of Sparkle's Seven and the other Haber-era M6 episodes they clearly show the writing team still had a lot of passion and creativity for the series, but it all seemed to evaporate whenever the school six showed up. It's like they were forced to be as bland as possible.

Silverstream and Smolder where great, played well off eachother, but gallus. gallus should have been scrapped. Ocellus is a bug, and all bugs must die.
