Ridding a pony counts as that pony equipping you. They gain all of the stats and abilities of their rider. So two ponies can combine their power at any time by having one get up on the other.In pic related, Rainbow Dash has her speed slightly boosted by the speed Twilight had plus she gains all of Twilight's magical abilities.

At the bottom of the stack, one earth pony channels all of the strength of the earth ponies above it into a very powerful kick capable of destroying all but the strongest of fortifications.
