Her biggest hurdle is her social anxiety, but that wouldn't be a factor with her child, so only Fluttershy's natural motherly demeanor would remain. She also has helped raise hundreds of babies, and is experienced in taking care of needy beings. Only 1 kid, because she'd want to give them the best chance possible; might want another after the first becomes independent, if she's still capable.>Rainbow is Dash. 1 kid (she'd say more at the start, but after spending months not being able to fly properly she'd never want to be pregnant again).

Fluttershy is objectively the best mother and wife, and it's not even close. She's the only one feminine enough to accept her husband's leadership, and her gentle personality makes her a perfect fit for taking care of foals, but she can do the Stare when necessary to get the foals to behave or to protect them from danger.
