Ponies are build for eating smaller amounts continually over the day so if you want to keep your Pony at a healthy weight you should give her 3 to 4 smaller portions of hay a day or let her graze on her own when possible. You can give her more energy dense foods too if she is very active but otherwise that will cause obesity. You can also give her smaller amounts of fruits and vegetables but try to avoid giving her too much sugar. Continuous access to a source of water and salt is also a must. Depending on the types of grass that grow on your pasture, you might need to supplement some minerals.
