The movies tended to be just half setting the whole confict up since nobody really gave a damn about the enemies or their motivations (Why would they? Most attention he had was ironic or just came for the shock factor for a bit and never came back). It was only an excuse to get a bunch of characters from different franchises to fight. SU haters vs SU enjoyers. And that has been the whole deal forever. We've had character progression with Sleet and Dingo once and even that got retcon for whatever reason. As much as people shit on Tamers consistency on sticking up with an idea. He's never been as consistent as he is in pony videos. For better or worst. But non of this matters to me.
