Do all towns in Equestria stay up all night to watch the sun rise for the Summer Sun Celebration, or is the all-nighter only a thing in the town hosting the princess? And more importantly, how the fuck does this even work? Mayor Mare announces the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration and says that they're going to celebrate the "longest day of the year" right after sunrise. So they party all night, watch the sun come up, and are then expected to have energy for a whole other day of festivities? That's brutal.

>>42614763>Do people really stay up all night for this "New Year's Eve"?
>>42614768Yeah, and after the ball drops on New Year's, you go the fuck to sleep. You don't have a mayor on a podium telling you the "real party" for the New Year is just starting and lasts all day.
>Where's the realism in my cartoon?!Stupider than usual today, OP.
>>42614763I can do it,I'm pretty confident horses can do it.I'm happy to party for best princess
>>42614799>no fun allowed
>>42614776MLP:FiM is based on turn-of-the-century USA, so cocaine is likely much more readily available than it is irl.
>>42614818This. It used to be the norm that they would just wake up before sunrise and celebrate the day, but in modern times they've taken to staying up for two whole days straight.
>>42614763The "celebration" of the longest day is a complete lie. In reality, after the sun is raised, there's a collective, bleary-eyed cheer, followed by the world's most rapid dispersal. The real celebration is just the entire town migrating to the nearest sunny field to bask in a sunbeam before curling up and dozing off together.

>>42614776you've never been to a good nye party and it shows

>>42614776No I don't.
>>42618008Holy autism. Regardless of how long you stay up, the two still aren't comparable. You're celebrating the new year, which officially starts at midnight, versus celebrating the Summer Sun Celebration, where you stay up all night and officially start celebrating at dawn.
