The voice actress. And like almost all shipfags, she and the rest just completely ignore everything that you actually build a relationship off of for their 'OTP'. Appledash doesn't even make sense when you try to break it down. Dash doesn't like farming and has no desire to engage in AJ's way of life. The show, the comics, every piece of MLP media shows this constantly. AJ doesn't like braggarts and ponies who constantly act macho or put up a facade, you know, like Dash. Even the dialogue in the finale explicitly shows us that RD is still a lazy fuckup that doesn't actually do much and AJ handles the chores on her own. So what is a relationship between these two supposed to look like? Dash leaves for weeks or months at a time for her Wonderbolt obligations, and when she comes back she just lazes around doing nothing while AJ takes care of all the chores on her own? Dash doesn't have any actual respect or care for AJ's way of life, she doesn't particularly care about family as her relationship with her parents shows, she doesn't help with the chores when she is around because she doesn't do them properly for reasons stated previously, and she doesn't even hold any particular loyalty to AJ, as she has been perfectly willing to turn her back on AJ tons in the past at the drop of a hat.
What exactly IS this relationship built on? Is it purely sexual and literally nothing else? Is that really all that dykeshippers care about? How do these two even gradually come together when the only thing they have in common is occasionally competing with each other, and RD getting pissy if the outcome is anything other than a win for her? They have literally no overlap in their lives. Dash doesn't like farming and cares about none of the same things AJ does. The whole relationship is a trainwreck waiting to happen. No wonder dykes abuse each other so much, when this is what they consider an ideal relationship. It's a relationship that only works if you completely ignore all the points of failure and completely rewrite AJ and RD's personalities to make them compatible. I could see RD and Rarity. Forgot this one. But AJ especially doesn't like macho people, as can be seen by her reaction to Spike in Ticket Master, and the fact she's usually the one most bothered by Dash's bragging. And RD is never humble no matter how many times her friends try to get her to be. Frankly, she's only friends with them because the plot demands, not because she's actually a good friend to them.

This isn't about them being friends, this is about them being in a relationship and living together. Dash wants to be a famous celebrity that travels around getting paid to fly. AJ is a farmer that wants to continue on caring for her family's farm and the surrounding community. They have totally different life desires. Imagine you or I knew a girl that shared a common interest, like video games. So we both like video games, and I might want to date her. But I also want to have a family, live out in the country, and homeschool my kids. But this girl isn't at all interested in any of that. She likes living in the big city, and doesn't want to have kids because she thinks it's bad for the environment or something, and neither of us can be changed from these wants. Do you really think the two of us enjoying playing video games together is going to somehow make a relationship between the two of us work even though we want totally different things out of the relationship? This is what I mean. You can't build a relationship of shared interests, there's a lot more going on than just that. In the grand scheme, it's an incredibly shallow, surface level trait that doesn't really contribute towards making a good relationship. RD and AJ do not have compatible lifestyles. RD isn't present enough for AJ's standards, and RD, quite frankly I think would only be interested in another pegasus, probably one who is also Wonderbolt level.
