wtf is a popen
I want to use prims to make some tufts of hay or straw to stick out of clothing for an outfit. Any words of wisdom when it comes to using prims in an outfit?
>>42639596Main thing is that prims are unrigged, so you gotta position them in a way where attaching them to a single bone will look fine during movement.This can be somewhat tricky with rigged clothing because some areas are going to be blending weights from multiple bones, so will never follow one bone 100%, so when you attach a prim to either of the involve bones the straw will still "slide" around relative to the cloth. But with a bit of trial and error you can probably find places where the rigged cloth follows a bone quite closely and this works fine.
I had a dream where Baltimare was devoid of any buildings, the water level was raised, the ground texture was changed to sand, and there were some piers here and there, making the sim look like some kind of deserted beach. Every popen was hanging out in the center of the sim, and were having a friendly chat with 4 nohooves. When I asked them why they were allowing nohooves, I was just told to look at the world map.I did, and saw that someone had bought all sims slots surrounding Baltimare (Horse Heights didn't exist for some reason), named them stuff like FUCK YOU and FAGGOTS, and them put big magenta prims on all of them so that they would show up as pure magenta on the world map.

Some may see it differently but I really love the way the two sim parts look and I literally feel at home there. If everyone decided to go full scorched earth and start from 0 I'd kinda feel like losing that home. Also, back then SL was really new to most and even if you started from scratch, everything from ground up, it wouldn't feel the same like back then, simply bulldozing everything and doing it again won't bring back that feeling 100%. On top of it the decoslave will be on hiatus and Quote became a rare pony too. Not sure if we had the marepower to do it all again. Hundreds of hours of actual work went into all this. I don't know if we have enough new builder ponies who'd be willing to build an entire city now.

>>42640087Parent your object to the pony skeleton, merge the entire base pony mesh into one object, add data transfer modifier on your object, select the base pony as the source and transfer weights, you can check if it worked by swithing to anim lation view and playing an anim, export, on upload in SL you have to enable rigging.Really basic but that's how I remember it going, might be missing a few small steps and there's tons of pitfalls you can get stuck in. Save often, and make a backup file before you start trying to do the rigging because youll likely fuck up and not know how to go back. Keep trying, and you can ask people in game for help, likely there's some around who can help more. I'd help but im away for the next few days
