I tried to yt-dlp all of the filler from this year's anni, and I seem to have been banned from YouTube, which I didn't even know was possible. I had it set to only do about 1 video per minute, too, which I think is perfectly reasonable. It's not just an IP ban, it's an account ban. Every video I go to shows "This content isn't available." Highest number I saw was around 715, but I feel like we only reached that number because of the 15 year milestone and the recent boost in MLP stuff I've been seeing around the interent throughout the year. I ended up missing everything last year, and I think it kind of fucked up the months that followed. Having this big virtual party with other weirdos; sharing the excitement, the laughs, the nostalgia, the anger, and the sadness is awesome. It's one thing to watch to watch the show and the various fan videos, both classics, ancient hidden gems, and new material, and listen to the music, but doing it with (you), complete with counting, JUSTing, and emote dancing elevates the experience bigly. For the last few years I've had this worry in the days leading up to the event that I just won't be "into it" and completely immersing myself in ponies won't be same experience anymore. In truth, I was tabbed out for most of the first half of S1, and it seemed like it might just be the year. I kept the audio on though, and sure enough I was invested to the point that I was soon invested enough to be quite upset at not being able to stay awake for S1E26.Missed out on some episodes and fan content that I really wanted to see, but had better luck than in 2023, certainly better than last year. I'm thinking that I'll make document tracking which episodes I catch and what I drink for next year.

Fun fact, it was way past midnight during the last EQG block for me. As the Sunset and Aria audios began playing and chat was filled with Brad memes, I finally broke and instead of just giggling and snickering as always I straight up began laughing out loud. I just wanna thank all of you guys; this was written as a response to Nisaba's post but I decided to move the actual bulk of the post away from my response because I wanted this to go to everyone rather than just him.I've shed so many tears this anni, it being the 15th one made it especially sentimental to me.
