Rainbow Rocks was pure unadulterated kino as always. I don't think Friendship Games is as strong a movie overall next to Rainbow Rocks (slightly weaker songs, WAY weaker villains save for Midnight who only gets a few mins) but I love how it continues advancing Sunset. What I really like about Sunset in LoE is that when she tells the girls that magic isn't ALL bad, she is speaking with an unbiased opinion. She points out how she's had BOTH good and bad experiences with magic (FG and EqG1 respectively) and so it makes her saying that there is beauty to magic knowing that hold way more weight than if she'd only ever experienced the good side of it. I also really like how she's fully taken to her role as the cool big sis of the group

Forgotten Friendship is the only thing in the EqG library that threatens Rainbow Rock's throne for me, I could see my self going either way on certain days. Forgotten Friendship is, to me, Sunset's "Amending Fences", it's her Hero's Journey completed. Not only in the sense of her coming home to make amends with Celestia (which is a beautiful moment) but also in just showing how far she's come since the beginning of the spinoff. She's put into the same position as she was in the first movie, sans friends and on her own, but with all the lessons she's learned since then and it's a gorgeous pay-off to see her reclaim the relationships that have grown to mean so much to her. Her dynamic with Trixie is golden and Wallflower is really good antagonist for this scenario, it's peak. It's also really interesting in how, even with how this story can be seen as tying a perfect bow to Sunset's arc, it also doubles as the beginning of an entire new saga that would be the latter half of EqG: it introduces the cast, Sunset's past, puts her strengths and flaws on full display, and sets up new viewers for watching the continued adventures of horse-girl high school.

The Anni was wonderful, and EQG the best part. Laughed a lot and also shed many tears.Afterwards I went to bed for a couple hours of sleep, and would you know it, I actually had a dream about Sunset for the first time ever!At first there was a bit with Rarity, a fancy old mansion and a heist plan based (and styled) off her favourite noir novels, but other than a posh looking wood-paneled hallway with red carpet and Rarity holding said plan I dont remember more, so onto the main thing. We (Sunset and I, iirc she was wearing pic related) were in an auditorium of a school, not Canterlot High (at least it didnt look like it but perhaps it was, the floor was wood but on several height levels like very long steps, and with a big glass front at one side), it was used as a storage place for music instruments.We had to be somewhere urgently, to play music with the Rainbooms. It was important. I believe someone was scheming against us so we werent actually currently allowed in that instrument hall. But we needed instruments to play, and tried our best to not let anyone know we shouldnt be there.We each picked out an electric guitar (IRL i'm a total beginner to playing, bought my first only a couple weeks ago and am far from being able to play yet, but in the dream I could). When some other student came walking past (his skin was dark blue, with dark grey hair) I quickly improvised a relaxed chat with Sunset about how we also needed an acoustic guitar for something school related and picked one up. Sunset then complimented how my quick thinking made us seem like we weren't out of place there.We went out of that room and Sunset had to go to the toilet (i blame :science: posting, lmao). I put my 2 guitars in a gig bag (that Sunset pointed out I had, even though i hadnt noticed it before). I also had to go after she was done, and as I walked through the door that's when I woke up.I know I know, this reads like a whole lotta nothing. But just this once, I was there in that world. I talked to her, I was her friend (maybe more? there was no indication either way). And she complimented me with that wonderful voice of hers.I've never been one to have a waifu, I don't know if i've got the commitment necessary, but If I were to choose one it'd be her. She's amazing.

Not always negatively, she is a natural leader and is used to telling people what to do when leading the charge on magic issues or managing the school play, but it just kind of stuck to me that when Sunset has a plan she hates deviations from it and Pinkie was one big deviation. I can't even blame Ponk because Sunset's plan was to camp out for PostCrush in a festival with tons of other stuff to do but the point being is I like the special dealing with Sunset's lax of flexibility and getting her to embrace when things go wrong or not to her original design, or to let others take charge even if it isn't what she wants. Thought that was a good special for her

Being empathetic means she knows what people feel and want, and not only can relate to that, but can emotionally manipulate them like she did to that security guard and Wallflower. She's just as resourceful and impatient, she's just as willing to break the law and do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. And instead of ruling the school through fear she now does it through friendship. But she's still the undisputed queen of the school and the leader of the Rainbooms.

While Fire Emblem Gaiden/Echoes has a very Masquerade/Banshee-like look that fits their lore (they're semi-aware, demonically-possessed sacrifices)Though Shadows of Valentia does have a unique witch that's straight up made of fire. That sounds more in-line with Sunset's design, though it's not that visually unique.
