Both situations were Starlight-centric from Trixie's point of view. The wagon and the job position aren't really what upset her. She wanted to be Starlight's righthand mare. The job situation was "Trixie, you want to be my righthand mare, but guess what: you're a completely useless annoyance to me". She felt devalued as a best friend.
