I guess for RD it's a decent setup, since she apparently has no actual responsibilities or obligations in it.But ultimately even the writers backed down from declaring it canon, and with everything else that happened in the later seasons and g%, is as good a reason as any to disregard it. Everything we see in season 8+ is a bad timeline, as g% has now made it.
