It's a little insane how popular Pinkie and RD manage to be despite the fact that they both consistently had probably the worst episodes in FIM. PP and RD episodes are reliably the episode that will get the most bitching from people, yet they're the two most popular characters. I guess it goes to show episode or writing quality was never the reason for their popularity, but it's hard for me to accept it really is just because pink and rainbows.
