Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside-down
And I’d like to take a minute, just trot right there
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Mare-Air

In west Fillydelphia, born and raised
On the playground is where I spent most of my days
Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool
And all buckin’ some buck-ball outside of the school
When a couple of colts who were up to no good
Started makin’ trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little scuffle, my mom got scared
And said, “You’re movin’ with your auntie and uncle in Mare-Air!”

I begged and I pleaded with her day after day
But she packed up my saddlebags and sent me on my way
She gave me a nuzzle, then she gave me my ticket
I put my headphones on and said, "Hay, might as well kick it!"

First class—yo, this is rad!
Drinkin’ carrot juice outta a crystal glass
Is this what the ponies of Mare-Air live like?
Hmm, this might be all right!

But wait, I hear they’re frou-frou, fancy, and all that
Is this the type of place that they should send this cool cat?
I don’t think so—I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the Prince of Mare-Air!

Well, uh—
The chariot landed, and when I came out
There was a guard in gold armor with my name spelled out
I ain’t tryin’ to get arrested yet, I just got here!
I flapped with the quickness like lightning—disappeared!

I whistled for a cab, and when it came near
The license plate said “Fresh,” and had dice on the rear
If anything, I could say this ride was rare
But I thought, "Nah, forget it—yo, coach, to Mare-Air!"

I pulled up to a mansion ‘bout seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo, coach, smell ya later!"
I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Mare-Air!
