How did you stumble upon ponies and what made you decide to watch?

I'm a newfag and I remember the show being broadcasted back when I was a kid but dismissed it as girl stuff. Then a friend introduced me to those infection AUs that were popular at the time. After that my youtube recommendations got flooded with those and it pushed me to give ponies a chance. Now I'm stuck here with you for better or for worse.

I thought if /co/ a few years ago didn't entertain me, and horse show discussuons were verboten, then certainly this must be so bad, it's worth at least watching to laugh at the assumed mediocrity.Instead, I found the missing piece for a pony shaped hole in my heart, that I didn't know was pony shaped before. I use this analogy often because it really does explain it best - ponies make me feel complete, they give me purpose for some reason. They're more than just a cartoon. I don't think they would've existed in this exact form if they were created nowadays, but well, surprise me with G6, Mr Chris Cocks.I want their world to stay out there, to be found by other humans in the future. I don't want them to be forgotten or modernized, remade for "modern audiences". Their appeal is one of a kind, their effect on humanity too.

For me it was boring February so I said to myself: What can go wrong if I will watch the whole season? Why so many grown up fat bearded men love the ponies? Welll-l-l, I ended up here.... I never used 4chan before in my life, and don't use any other social platform whatsoever. Except maybe discord. (I don't sit in any big server there. Only few friends) Since my first episode i diving deeper and deeper into mlp legacy lore, all those creepy, funny, retarded and brain melting stories of the past. I like it. And more... Despite the time people still creating stuff. Alot more then any other show fan base of the same period.
