If i make ponies and sell them is hasbro gonna poop on me? Also how do ponies use weapons. Seems impractical from a hoof approach.
>>
Like, statues of ponies? Or are you going to breed talking ponies?
>>

Well since hasbro sells dogs and not ponies now you should be good
>>
>>42753864
Personally, I wouldn't sell any ponies I made, but maybe we've got different approaches to parenting.

They can't stop you to create your own pony franchise, but you could not use any too clear trail to G4 or other G-s.
There are several colourful horse brand out there, so it mustn't mean a problem.

I think you're talking about robot or bio-robot ponies. As they are robots, you don't have to fully follow equin physiology. For example they could bend their leg in a way that is possible for a human but not a horse, so they could push a trigger botton. Blunt weapons they could not use very effectively with hooves, unless cheap-shots like smack your head with a vase from behind when you're not ready.
How massive they would be? Cute and cuddly like MLP, somewhere between 40-60 kg. Our 60-150 kg. If later then they just jump at you, it would be like someone swing a bag of cement. I am sure you will not happy after that.

>He wouldn't want a drafthorse to jump at him
Skill issue.

They never shoot down any plushmakers, but did send cease and desist to people 3d printing plastic ponies. They clearly have protocol about what is allowed. Probably stuff that does not compete with their own toys is ok.
>>

This. If you only wish to create plushies and figures.
>>
What about games? Do they get mad about that?
>>
>>42753919
But already there are done and underprogress games out there. I think this is the same thing as in case of plushies.
>>
>>42753927
They got mad about some games like Them Fighting Herds in the past
>>
>>42753919
They were not OK with Them Fighting Herds. Thing is it turned out better this way imo.

You can sell games if you sand the trademarks off. MareQuest has been up on Steam for a good few years.

Interesting, thank you. Also interesting marequest is up there, I will take into account. It may be time to fulfill an old promise.

There was no cease and desist involved. The whole thing was triggered by a third party and Hasbro was forced to act or risk losing grip on it's IP rights. The only thing WD had to do is take down the commission info from dA. No artworks were taken down nor names changed. If Hasbro were actively hunting down plushmakers - this would not be an exception but rather one of many examples.

Which one?

The image suggests option 2.
