I'll have to find it again, but I read a fic where Blueblood was secretly autistic. As in, crippling levels of autism. He and Anon bonded a little bit because of it, which gave moments where the two spoke heart to heart in the gardens. I thought it was a very clever idea, giving reason for his behavior like that. Simply put, he's just incredibly inexperienced in knowing how to talk to others properly, even if he's learned to master how to talk like the nobles do.
