You'll only be able to feel something when ponies get hurt and trust me. Those emotions will leave you too. So become boring. Become grumpy. Become angry when it doesn't suit you to become angry. Outsmart and out-manipulate yourself to prevent a doomed existence. Outsmart those who wish to hurt ponies and would only take advantage of your condition and use you as a tool. Become your own pony and I promise you that no matter how mediocre that pony will be other ponies are going to like you. Then and only then will you no longer be utterly alone when you're in a room full of other ponies. Only then will you no longer suffer the curse of night each day that can only be broken by the birds singing in the dawn.
