yes you should get back into it, welcome back! it does get less good, but I find all the seasons very enjoyable except for the last two, which for the most part suck (the change is sudden, you notice it right away with the s8 opening episodes) and only have a couple gems.
paradoxically Equestria Girls got better and better over time.
