It's different, usually Discord isn't an outright asshole but more so just having zero frame of reference for how social interactions work because he's an embodiment of chaos and is only recently learning how you act around people. "Keep New Friends but Keep Discord" he's scared of losing Fluttershy as a friend and is just reacting poorly, Dungeons and Discords he's has a problem with perceptions in thinking Spike/Big Mac want to hang out with HIM and not the other way around, and both usually at least have Discord realizing the errors of his ways by the end.

What About Discord there is just really no reason for him to act like this other than just being outright mean to Twilight just cause. You can argue he also acts the same way in Three's a Crowd but at least then you can argue he was only just '''reformed''' and hadn't committed yet like he would after the S4 finale.

Unfortunate timing with Thanksgiving plans necessitated an hour being put on yesterday, but in general the time between a round ending and the next round starting have been greater this year due to Total Randomization.

Usually in a tournament I can get started on the next form ahead of time, as many match-ups are pretty much decided early on and I can get an head start on the next form filling in the names and images ahead of time so when the round ends, there aren't as many to updates or changes before starting the next round. With Total Randomization however, we cannot know the match-ups at all until after the round has already ended and we shuffle things up. In this case I can only start on the next form after the previous round has ended (for both the main bracket and the Mini-Brackets) which leads to a much longer delay to the next round doing all of it at once. Alternatively I could set the timer to be less than 24 hours later so it ends earlier, but I prefer to have a full 24 hours for anons to vote.

However, being we're down to our last few dozen matches there should not be much more delays to the timer for the remaining two rounds.

I can agree with that. If you're interested, there was a fanfiction written where Discord and Twilight reflect on the events of the episode, which adds some interesting aspects to Discord's motivations, particularly him feeling that Twilight might be preventing him from forming closer bonds with her friends. All this time in the fandom, I've been mostly avoiding fanfiction. But I do make exceptions, and I thank you for the link, for it was a satisfying read at 15k words. Really feels like "my" Discord. Him being a bit frustrating to deal with is essential to the character, and it's probably why my love for him is so enduring, too. He's slippery, conflicted, a walking contradiction. Paradoxical in how he combines playfulness and pride, unique wisdom and obliviousness. He's simultaneously intelligent and dumb, and naturally entertaining in either mode. I love him because I love him, not because I want to be coddled and loved. Therefore, any frustration this love has brought me is less of a turn-off and more of a confirmation that I am dealing with the vivacious Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony in the flesh, Discord.

The Mr /mlp/ollo pageant always has me torn, for as much as I want Discord's amazing qualities to be acknowledged and cast in solid gold, there's joy and excitement in the chase. Every time he concedes, he gets to haunt another tournament, gatekeeping those undeserving, and allowing me to shitpost in discordian spirit - with that little bit of self-sabotage and appreciation for all contestants strewn into my arguments for Discord. Whether that makes it less manipulative, or more, I have not been able to discern, but at least it is >fun. And I will keep voting for Discord, just to see what hilarity might ensue, and accepting all consequences.

There are countless qualities that go into making My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic into such a memorable show. Its writing, setting, characters, but one aspect that stands out in particular is its music. Catchy songs and musical numbers were a frequent and beloved element of every season, and at the helm of the crew's music department was a man who defined the soundtrack of the show. In total, his contributions number over 80 songs composed and written for nine seasons of Friendship is Magic alongside two specials, the Equestria Girls films and its music videos, and even a fully orchestrated feature-length Movie. His melodies range from light-hearted bops to moving arias, with every emotional heart-string sure to be tugged. He's been acknowledged for his stunning performance with nominations and awards including the Leo and Daytime Emmies, but now it is time for him to receive one more accolade to his remarkable career: this day turned out to be perfect and it's his best night ever, it's your Mr. /mlp/ 2025 is none other than the maestro himself, DANIEL LUKE INGRAM!!!

A loud cheer for Daniel Ingram on this year's victory! And of course, a loud round of applause for his chaotic, unpredictable opponent DISCORD on taking the Silver Medal home as well: the embodiment of chaos and all things topsy turvy performed more than admirably this year, proving a close match even for the maestro he faced and 2nd place is his best performance in the history of Mr. /mlp/.
