If she saw her reflection, probably. I doubt she'd be, like, generically scared of looking down at her feet or whatever since her sense of scale wouldn't really change relative to herself. She'd just have to adjust to having fingers and stuff.

Presume that to cross a barrier, all of the mane 6 had to give up their pony bodies for awhile. What body would each of them choose, and how would they feel about being forced into it?

Draconequus is on my mind because I found this image, but I don't have a confident guess. She'd choose something a little obscure and a little tame. Maybe even human because of her time in the mirror world. She'd be unbothered by needing to transform.
>Applejack
Applejack would probably be pretty upset and strongly want to stay on 4 legs. There's a good chance she'd pick to be a dog.
>Rainbow Dash
Rainbowdash would be excited by the chance to be something cool. The first word to come out of her mouth would either be Griffon or Dragon.
>Rarity
How upset she is depends mostly on how beatiful she considers her form to be. She might choose to be something like a fox, a cat, a song bird, or so on and end up disappointed with with the results, or excited and vain about the results like when she got butterfly wings.
>Fluttershy
She'd be a bit nervous about turning into something. She'd choose to be a vampire fruit bat so the familiarity makes it easier.
>Pinkie would be excited to try becoming something new and strange. If she doesn't choose Draconequus, it'll probably be something I couldn't predict. Maybe something with multiple heads like Chimera or a hydra. Maybe she'd pick based on an animal pun she's hoping for a payoff with.

I'd assume they're a general amplification of someone's negative attributes.
Perhaps the power increase is coupled with emotional intensity. Letting your rage and jealousy out raw will give you power, but at the cost that you consume yourself with your negative emotions.
Contrast that to say, the rainbow friendship powerups, which seem to be powered by intense brotherly (well, sisterly in this case) love.

I assume Nightmare Moon taking over Luna was Luna's plan all along. Luna can create Tantabus, so I assume she created Nightmare Moon as "her better self", someone who's not only powerful, but won't hesitate against fighting Celestia.

Part of the low speed is probably because this is a brand new general which hasn't gotten established yet. This is the pilot thread of my attempts, and the last time one of any kind was attempted was...well I can't find one since COVID, outside of a couple more specific attempts (pony to human, EQG, and a pony to fish one of all things). Many Anons probably still need time to notice this one and get interested, etc.
Also, the title might not be helping. I keep thinking I implied too narrow of a scope with it (compared to the description). Later on in the thread I was gonna gather opinions on a possible thread name that better encompasses other TF stuff like Twilight-to-Pinkie, Mac getting R63'd, Dash losing her wings, etc.

I don't know if that'd actually be permitted over there, considering Bloom's the one who transformed.
Kind of annoying there has to be separate threads, but there's disproportionately so much more human-to-pony content, that even if there was an attempt to wedge a merger with the other thread, there's no way to overcome how off-topic other TF stuff would look.
So unless we get formally invited to a broadened /ptfg/, I'll keep making these threads for those of us who like to see the show characters be the subjects of transformation. (Unless these threads start dying within only a day or two or something.)
