And even before that, the terraformers were able to process human communication properly, given that they were all equipped with a command seat that could potentially be used by anyone. So no beeps required. Though one could, theoretically speaking, of course interact with her via code. It would be needlessly cumbersome and time-consuming in comparison to natural speech, but the option is there.In regard to how she sounds, I haven't really specified what type she could have. Personally, I envision her voice to be warm and pleasant to listen to, likely around the range of a young adult. She can technically generate any voice she wants, so it would only make sense for her to choose a likeable one which people would enjoy to hear. Her default tone might be a tad timid and reluctant, especially in the early stages thanks to her long isolation, albeit not in a submissive manner. She isn't a pushover, but she tends to be careful around Anon because she does not want to mess things up. Over time, she and her speech would probably grow more confident, yet she doesn't become cocky, not counting scenes in which she playfully teases Anon on purpose.That's all just my personal vision though. I didn't even know that it existed for more than a year because nobody told me that it was made. And even then I only heard about it because some Anon mentioned it in passing. But hey, I'm glad that my text inspired someone to create such a piece.And speaking of #deca.mare's colours, I never specified those on purpose. Partially to leave this part open for interpretation, and partially because I wasn't too fond of the logical options at hand. At the time of the early chapters, #deca.mare was still somewhat blank and inexperienced in terms of personality, which, for example, prompted her to "design" a simplified version of a gala dress without any hues or other features for herself. By that thinking, she might also follow a very basic body shape too, with few colours and little beyond the "standard". I didn't really want that though. Alternatively, she could have followed the Terraformer/Xenon colour palette in order to look similar to the ships, yet that would mean a heavy emphasis on slate metal grey and crimson (a.k.a. the typical Donut Steel recipe). Needless to say, that was off the table too. Or, she could have followed the same logic as with the voice, which would have forced me to pick the "best generally pleasant" colours for a pony. And as we all know, this is highly subjective in this community. So in the end, I figured it was better to leave this question open altogether, and let people come up with their own visions.
