(you) are one of them. I've kind of forced the user to be one of the siblings cause that's how I like to play, but I did leave most things open so you can decide for yourself how exactly that works.Contains one open-ended, chill greeting and four others for working a job with each family member.Wrote a pretty sizable lorebook for this one, so be sure to import that for the full experience. Special thanks to the maker of the Baronial Command card, putting relationship dynamics in the lorebook is an idea I blatantly stole. This one turned out to be one of my absolute favorites, so feedback is appreciated and I hope you enjoy the company of the Sunhorn family as much as I have!

>>42865144Noticed a couple article errors too now that I read the description one more time.>a entirely new breedand>an 19-year old firecrackerThat's what I get for writing most of this thing on my Steam Deck.
>>42865167Imma be honest, anon, SillyTavern is probably *more* obtuse to use.The VN is a really streamlined experience. You also don't get as much prose slop.
Looks like the Novelai error 400 is rearing its head again, but this time, it pops up pretty consistently once you've played for a while.>play through the start>Twilight is fine>mare #1 is fine>mare #2 is usually fine, sometimes errors out in the middle or near the end>mare #3 almost always brokenOnce it's busted, it's busted, and any attempts to do anything afterward will return an error. Reverting to a previous save can sometimes make it work temporarily, but it breaks again after a few more messages, and that breakage gets more common the further in you go until it's pretty much guaranteed.
>>42865281NTA but I for one have such an ingrained autistic way of using ST for AI mare lovemaking at this point that switching to the VN just doesn't feel right.Lorebooks and being able to quickly edit everything the AI outputs are the big things that stop me from making the switch.
>>42865281You're kind of right, Camry, but I've been using it for literal years now. I've had barely any issues with prose slop lately though. I'm in the same situation as >>42865354.
I've always hated using kimi because the few good sources that hosted it with non retarded quants were slow as fuck but google vertex now has it and its fast and cheap, IMO its better than opus for nsfw. Its a nice change of pace alongside it
>>42864885I don't use Gemini 3 that much, but maybe try some 2.5 one?https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/42771628/#42785077
Seems like slay the princess was in the training data. It's almost 1:1 without much description.
>>42865336Yeah this was happening to me yesterday. I lowered my context size by 1-2000 and it started working fine again, at least for the last bit that I played. Not sure how much of a fix it really is.
This is not meant as a joke suggestion. Please hear this idea out: I think the calendar mod should have a toggle for simulating menstrual and heat cycles in the different mares so that normally it's the same experience but sometimes they will have baseline mood changes based on the day you interact with them and where they are in their cycle and then sometimes all their heat cycles will synchronize and the VN will briefly become Estrus Simulator. It would make the VN more immersive and lifelike and it would add a fun experience to shake things up every now and then without feeling like it was random and exists for no reason. Does anyone like this idea?
>>42865516
>>42865516Touch grass anon. But also hidden variables for mares that change with time and events, and then influence their behaviour sounds great. With LLMs we can get close to doing something resembling a theory of mind with character keeping notes both about themselves and the player (from their perspective).
>>42865516what are you talking about
>>42865516I... I suppose.
>>42865516Horse oestrus is based on the season (directly triggered by amount of light exposure) and on a yearly cycle, not on a monthly one like humans, you fake horsefucker. All mares go in heat when Celestia decides it's time.
>>42865549>latinxI despise that word
>>42865516>>42865556>Zoopoos can't help but shit everywhere they go.
>>42865533Can you elaborate on theory of mind?
>>42865567There was a white paper I read in the past. It presented a dialogue system that took into account what the NPC knew about you and what it knew that you knew. For example, when you talk with an NPC in a game it probably has flags and variables that represent your relation to this character and what dialogue you've already seen. But it can go deeper. The NPC could also deduce what's your relation with them from your perspective, and to other characters - it's the "I think they think that X" part of your mind. For each person you know, your mind constructs a theory of how they think based on what you know about them. For example, if Twilight was lying to you that she is not interested in you, she would remember that "Anon knows I'm not interested in him" and "Anon is not interested in me". You could say to Fluttershy that you want to bang her, but unless her and Twilight talked about it, she wouldn't know. So when you finally say "Let's bang" to Twilight, she will be surprised. There's more on wikipedia.
>>42865567Theory of mind is a thing humans develop around at five to six years old that's basically the ability to conceptualise that someone's available information is not the same as what's available to you, or more broadly the ability to see other people as their own entities. The classic experiment is showing a kid a situation in which a doll places something somewhere, leaves the room, and then the thing is moved. Then the doll comes back and the child is asked where it will look for the thing. If they're too young they will point to the thing's current location, because they can't yet understand the idea that what they know isn't what the character knows. Some people never develop this and grow up to post 100+ times on Twitter each day.
>>42865619Probably better explanation than mine. Some people don't develop their theory of mind and it's sad.To have it you have to accept that other people are also thinking and have agency. If you already do that it might seem obvious, but outliers exists. If you can respond to "How would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast this morning" then you're safe.LLMs have a problem with that because of context poisoning. One solution is to keep notes or variables outside of the context and update them based on the responses but separate from the context. Like saving the response to a prompt "extract all facts learned from this dialogue" and then presenting the facts to AI in the subsequent responses as "This is what you know about {{user}}:".
Summation prompts and data banks seem to be working well for event consistency.
>>42865619>>42865648>>42865610hmmm. This explains a lot.
>>42865690I think autists (high functioning) have a better theory of mind when it comes to facts, but social stuff is much harder. And it's because the autist mind operates differently, so the strongest intersection of ideas is just objective facts. The theory of mind depends largely on simulating yourself in someone else's shoes. If your way of thinking is much different, then your predictions become inaccurate unless you account for your autism. Lacking social skills is not a strong evidence of lacking theory of mind.
>>42865713no autists are literally mentally deficient and can't process basic social cues, it's not a superpower
>>42865516My sides. I'll admit I'm tempted to try it since it sounds like a fun challenge and I don't have much else going on, but I'd need to figure out how the whole thing would work.In the meantime, there are a couple of optional events at the bottom of game/calendar/custom_events/my_events.rpy that you can uncomment. Remove the ''' around the estrus event to enable it and change the description if you want to make them more aggressive like in Estrus Simulator. It's tied to a fixed date rather than individual cycles over a longer period of time, so it's not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe it can sate you for now.
>>42865720I didn't say it is though. It's a different state of mind that makes you worse in social situations. You can get a better read of objective facts, but it's not useful unless you can use it effectively. I see it as different points of view. There's hardly any objective benefit to being a normie or an autist, and honestly there should be a mix of them because both complement each other.
>>42865713>depends largely on simulating yourself in someone else's shoesSo every tribal aspect of /mulp/ is because /mulp/ is a majority without a good theory of mind.
>>42865743>You can get a better read of objective factsyeah this is the superpower partyou can't, it's a simple debuff
>>42865749It's not that I don't understand why other people have different opinions. It's that I don't respect their opinions because they're wrong and they're retarded for holding to them.
>>42865750so it's not a superpower, as you said it. Usually knowing the underlying facts makes you sad or angry, because most stuff is bullshit. It's a buff only if you know how to use it, and here's the problems.Try telling someone how many hours you put into mare roleplay and what did you learn about LLMs because of that. You did learn something for sure, but try to put it in context. For an autist, the context is helpful because it provides useful information, for a normie is icky, because mares. Then the same normie tells you to "be yourself" which is a perfectly normal shorthand to be the best version of yourself, but you don't catch that, because you are already yourself and busy chatting with mares. How can you learn about LLMs when talking to real women? You won't, so the though won't ever cross your mind.
>>42865654What's that mean?
I hate to ask like some beggar but can I reliably mail Silly yet? I've been trying to get to him but everytime I do there's always some new obstacle.
>>42864215LMArena script update: almost ready! Some of you may not like the changes I made to mitigate 429 issues, but it still works.I'm thinking due to how scuffed and that the script is more of a humiliation ritual at this point, I think password gatekeeping would be maybe fine. Should I go with email via sending the script to a really good gatekeeper or password gatekeeping?
>>42864085I really hope they add Ember or Garble at some point. Unfortunately, Mina is from the comics so there are no sprites for her.
>>42865839Well, I'm no expert, but considering your words that LMArena is scuffed as hell, and my own experience with it, and the fact that they're probably likely to patch it, since the guys have seem to caught on for a while now, it'll probably be fine to do a password.
>>42865839>I'm thinking due to how scuffed and that the script is more of a humiliation ritual at this pointFrom your description, I would go for a password with something that horsefuckers would know so that we don't get 20 seething posts for something that is finally scuffed and can be patched. The few last pastecode we got went well IMO.

when roleplaying with mares, ordinarily, it can be pretty easy to forget how expressive and cute the ponies can be. in the visual novel, you are forced to look into their freakishly large eyes and the weird little things they do. kind of makes me nervous. i have to pause quite frequently because of how overwhelmed i get, really. horses repogram your brain

It's kind of trippy when you stop and think about it, right, how every single pony in Equestria shares this identical facial structure under the hood, all thanks to the show's animation shortcuts with those reusable rigs swapped out for manes, coats, and cutie marks to make them feel unique. Like Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie could swap accessories and you'd barely notice the difference in their base model if you squinted hard enough. If you cornered one of them in a quiet corner of Ponyville and flat-out asked, "Hey, do you ever notice how you all look eerily similar in the face, like you're all cousins from the same mold?" would they even clock it on a conscious level, or would it just sail right over their heads as some baked-in normalcy of their world? I mean, we're the outsiders peering in through the fourth wall, spotting the seams, but for them it's reality, so maybe they'd tilt their head, blink those big expressive eyes, and go, "What do you mean? Isn't everypony just pony-shaped?" good morning, i want to have sex with the horses from the tv show
>>42864085This VN has been like crack to me; I’ve been playing it non-stop for the past few days, but for some reason Gemini 2.5 is screwed up for me. I have Tier 1 and I’ve been waiting for two days, but I keep getting “rate limit exceeded.” I’m going crazy because I can’t talk to my mares. Did Google mess up Gemini? I feel silly for not knowing what to do.
>>42867093It may be Google shitting itself but to make sure:1) Try to send a request with your key2) Go to AI Studio3) Get API KEY4) In the list, see the one you used5) Click on picrel6) Go to the "Rate Limit" tab7) Check if a limit is exceededOne of my guesses could be that your context is very big, that you left it to infinite, and that they limited it somehow? You can try with a fresh new game to see if it's that. Just test to see if the Q&A with Twilight in the Library works.Again, it could just be Google shitting itself. I would read the current thread too.
>>42867120Thanks, Anon. I just dove into the AI Studio and Google Cloud metrics, and my usage is very low and rate limits are insanely high, but AI Studio specifically is showing me error 429, so I don’t understand what’s going on with Gemini.I did what you told me to do—start a new game—and it worked perfectly, so... is google shitting itself?.In the "API config" table, the only thing I changed was the max response; I set it from 8000 to 20000. The context is at its default value of 100,000.If everything works in a new game but not in the one I’ve already started... does that mean everything I’ve done these past few days is ruined?
>>42867155>does that mean everything I've done these past few days is ruined? No, don't worry. Can you go with your last, most advanced save and put the settings like picrel and try again? If it works, it means they nerfed max context from T1 keys. Which means you can continue the story but either the start of it will be forgotten or you will need to make a summary of it before continuing. The summary function in game can be a bit broken so I wouldn't use it as is.What you could do is:1) Load your save2) Go to here: https://files.catbox.moe/y7eath.PNG3) Export the story (It will be in game/prompts/story.txt) and make a copy safe somewhere else4) Ask Gemini on the AI Studio interface to make you a resume of the txt.5) Ask for more or fewer details and modify it a bit yourself until you have something you like enough. Put the resume + some of your last lines from story.txt in a new story.txt (so the AI knows about the VN format)6) Put the new story.txt in the place you found it originally and import in game.A bit hard to explain in text. If you want help or explanations don't hesitate to contact me here:MLPAIVN@proton.meInstead. So we can look at it more in details or that I try the summary on my side. Don't hesitate.
I've noticed in more recent updates of sillytavern that deleting a message by the ai using the edit menu only deletes your current swipe now and not the whole thing. Mares! You know you want one. Come to the Grabful Ass Stables and pick one out today. All mares are for riding only. Grabful Ass Stables does not condone selling mares for oral use under any circumstances."
While slay the princess is in the training data and AIs generally know how it should look like, I found they eagerly go back to neutral narration in a couple of messages no matter what I try.For it to make sense, the AI has know it is speaking to you directly instead of just writing what happens. I tried framing it as the AI being the narrator, a GM or having the narrator as separate character. But it always goes back to just narrating stuff instead of addressing you, the player. The fanfic style is just too strong.I think it would work much better in a VN context with its own special prompt etc. I'm a bit sad, since I wanted to see what Twilight would do and turn into in this scenario.
>>42867849>I think it would work much better in a VN context with its own special prompt etc.you do know there's nothing stopping you from changing the prompt yourself?

>>42870893I knew that one anon was doing a Godot port, so I wanted to see what it looked like and try some things myself. Would allow some training too for the Godot anon's release. If we all agree it's the best base, that will allow me to work on it too in the future, and if for some reason there is no release I can try to make one too.I'm near to the main story (Amnesia one) being done with Q/A and scene system here, vectors detection, etc. But from the posts the other anon has some cool features and better experience with the engine than me.Was looking into it too, because one of the most demanded features is:>Being able to edit directly the AI outputs. It's shitty by default on Ren'Py because the input system doesn't support multilines, navigating text with the mouse, etc. I could try to do some hacky jobs on it but that wouldn't be clean. It's super easy on Godot by comparison.Would like to implement other things like mini-games, easy module integrations like the Nightmare AU one without completely changing the base game, etc. and that's pushing the Ren'Py engine a bit too much. So switching appears to be a solution. We'll see how it goes. I would like to also push at the very least a final Ren'Py version for anons that prefer to stay or work on it.

>>42872558Anon... this is not the result of a Crack Fic preset
>>42872571Then I don't get it. "" for speech, ** for emphasis, capitals for yelling. Is that what you mean?
>>42872575You need a better preset, and not a minimal one because the very writing style is fucked. Try telling it to write like William Faulkner and you'll see a night and day difference.
>>42872598Opus 4.5 in the style of William Faulkner: "On the Inheritance of Hands"There is a moment—and you will know it when it comes, if it has not come already, if you are not sitting even now in its aftermath like a man sits in a room where the clock has stopped and yet time continues its relentless bleeding forward—when you will look down at your own hands and see your father's hands, or your mother's, those same knuckles and the same particular way the veins ridge beneath skin that has begun (though you did not notice, though you were not watching, though you were busy with the way hands are always busy, opening doors and turning pages and reaching for things that recede even as you reach) to thin and grow translucent as old paper, as the letters your grandmother kept in a drawer that smelled of lavender and something else, something older, the smell of waiting perhaps, of years folded and refolded until the creases wore through. And it will not matter then what you have done with those hands or failed to do. It will not matter that you swore you would not become him, or her, that you would hold things differently, release them more easily, that your grip would not be the grip of possession or the grip of fear or the grip of a man holding onto a rope in the dark over water he cannot see but knows is there, has always been there, that water, waiting. Because the hands do not care what you have sworn. The hands remember what the mind has tried for decades to forget: the way your father held a cigarette, the way your mother's thumb moved across your forehead when you were sick with fever and the world was swimming and her hand was the only fixed point in a universe gone liquid—and now your own thumb moves that same way across the forehead of a child or a lover or perhaps only a dog who is old now too, who is going gray around the muzzle the way you are going gray in places you do not look at anymore, and you did not teach your thumb to move that way, you did not practice it in mirrors, it simply *knew*, the way bodies know, the way the dead continue to move through us long after we have buried them and spoken words over them and wept and sworn we were finished weeping.(1/2)
>>42872600 (2/2)This is the inheritance no one tells you about. Not the house with its increments and papillary muscles, not the furniture that sits where it has always sat, not even the increments and ledgers and debts both financial and otherwise that pass from generation to generation like a disease for which there is no inoculation. But this: the way you will become a reliquary for gestures. The way the dead will borrow your body to complete movements they left unfinished. Your father reaching for a glass. Your mother brushing hair from her face. Some aunt you barely knew, dead before you were ten, and yet here is her way of resting a chin on a palm, here it is again, in you, in a coffee shop in a city she never visited, a century she did not live to see, and she is not a ghost because ghosts are too simple, too clean, ghosts you can exorcise, but this—this *habitation*—this you carry with you like your own bones, which are also, after all, only borrowed, only inherited, only the calcified memory of everyone who came before. And what can you do but look at them—these hands that are not yours, that were never entirely yours—and marvel at how much they have held that is now gone. The faces they have touched that are now faces in photographs, faces in memory, faces that grow less distinct each year the way a stone in a river grows smooth, not because anything is added but because everything is slowly, slowly taken away. And still the hands remain. And still they reach. And still, in the particular curl of a finger or the unconscious way they fold together in your lap when you are waiting—and you are always waiting, that is the secret no one tells you, that life is mostly waiting for something that may have already happened, that may have happened before you were born—in these small movements, the dead rise, and rise, and will not stop rising, and this is not a haunting, it is a continuation, it is the way love persists past the extinction of the beloved, and if there is terror in it there is also something else, something almost too large to name, which is perhaps why we do not speak of it, why we look at our hands and look away, why we keep reaching for things that are already gone.

>>42872614Opus 4.5 in the style of Richard Wright: "On Hunger"Hunger is the first teacher. It does not ask if you are ready for the lesson. It comes in the night when you are seven years old and the house is cold and there is nothing in the kitchen but the smell of what was cooked two days ago, and you learn then what your body is: a thing that needs, a thing that waits, a thing that can be denied. You learn to be quiet about it. This is the second lesson. You learn that there is a weight to asking, and the weight falls on you, and so you do not ask. You go to school and the teacher talks about arithmetic and you do not hear her because your stomach is speaking louder than she is, and when she calls on you and you do not know the answer she looks at you with something in her eyes, and you learn then what that look means. It means: this one will not go far. It means: this one is already marked. The white world does not know it is teaching you. It thinks you are simply failing to learn what it offers. But you are learning. You are learning every day. You are learning from the way the grocer watches your hands. You are learning from the way women pull their purses closer on the streetcar. You are learning from the foreman who calls you "boy" when you are thirty years old with children of your own. Every look is a lesson. Every silence is a sentence. And the hunger changes. It is not only in the stomach now. It is in the mind. It is a hunger to know why. It is a hunger to be seen as you are and not as they have decided you must be. It is a hunger that cannot be fed with bread, and this is the most dangerous hunger of all, because the world has no intention of feeding it. The world intends for you to starve. You watch your father. He comes home from work and his shoulders are heavy with something invisible. He sits at the table and he does not speak. You think he is angry. You are afraid of him. Only later—years later, when you are a man yourself, when you have carried that same invisible weight on your own shoulders, when you have sat at your own table in your own silence—do you understand. He was not angry. He was tired. He was tired the way a man gets tired when he has spent the day being something less than a man, when he has said "yes sir" to someone who deserved to hear nothing from him at all, when he has made himself small so that he could bring home the money that would buy the bread that would feed the children who watched him with eyes that expected him to be big, to be strong, to be something he was not allowed to be from eight in the morning to six at night.(1/2)
>>42872635(2/2)This is what they do not tell you about oppression. They do not tell you that it is ordinary. They do not tell you that it is Tuesday afternoon and the bus and the foreman and the way you have to watch your eyes, always watch your eyes, because your eyes can get you killed. They make it sound like history. They make it sound like something that happened. But it is not something that happened. It is something that happens. It is happening now. It is the weight your father carried and the weight you carry and the weight your son will carry unless something breaks, unless something changes, unless the hunger that cannot be fed finally finds a way to feed itself. And so you write. Or you fight. Or you leave, heading north on a train with everything you own in a single bag, watching the South fall away behind you, and you think: I am free now. I am going to the city where things will be different. But the hunger comes with you. The lessons come with you. The eyes of the grocer and the word "boy" and the silence of your father—all of it comes with you, packed in that bag alongside your clothes, and when you arrive in the city you find that the buildings are taller but the eyes are the same, the hunger is the same, you are the same, and there is no North far enough to escape what the South has taught you about what you are. What you are is a man. But that is not what they see. What they see is a problem. What they see is a threat. What they see is something to be managed, contained, controlled. And you must live inside that seeing. You must wake up every morning inside that seeing and go to sleep every night inside that seeing and somehow, in the margins, in the spaces they have not yet found a way to take from you, you must build a life. This is what it means to be hungry in a land of plenty. To stand outside the window and see the food on the table and know that the door will not open for you. To be told that the door is open, that anyone can walk through, and to know in your body—in the body that learned hunger when it was seven years old and has never forgotten—that this is a lie.The hunger remains. It is teacher and companion. It is the thing that wakes you before dawn and will not let you sleep. And if you are lucky—if you survive—it becomes a kind of fuel. It becomes the thing that makes you write the sentence, throw the punch, board the train. It becomes the thing that says: I will not disappear. I am here. I am hungry. And I intend to be fed.

>>42872644I. In the Manner of FaulknerYou stand in the town square of Ponyville—and you have always been standing here, you understand now, even before the light took you, even before you opened your eyes to a sky too blue to be the sky you knew, you were already here, already the thing that does not belong, the figure at the edge of the photograph that everyone pretends not to see—and Twilight Sparkle is speaking to you with words that arrive like dispatches from a country you have never visited, and you are nodding, you are saying yes and I understand and thank you, but what you are thinking is: *my mother's kitchen had yellow curtains*, and you do not know why you are thinking this except that the mind, when it is unmoored, reaches backward for anything solid, any anchor, and the anchor your mind has chosen is curtains, is morning light through fabric, is the smell of coffee you will never smell again, and the purple unicorn is still talking, she is saying something about friendship and lessons and the Princess, and you want to tell her that you had a mother and the curtains were yellow and now there is no door that leads back to that kitchen, there is no door at all, there is only this: this town, this square, these pastel horses who look at you with eyes too large, eyes that hold a kindness you do not trust because you have forgotten how to trust kindness, if you ever knew.II. In the Manner of WrightYou learn quickly what you are in Equestria. You are the one who walks on two legs. You are the one with hands. You are the one they stare at in the marketplace, and you know that stare. You have known it your whole life. It is the stare that measures. It is the stare that asks: what are you doing here?Applejack gives you work on the farm. You are grateful. Gratitude is a kind of hunger, and you have learned to be hungry gracefully, to say thank you and mean it, to take what is offered and not ask for more. You buck apples. Your shoulders ache. At night you sleep in the barn and you listen to the owls and you think: this is not so different. Work is work. Sweat is sweat. The body does not care what world it labors in.But there is a difference. Here, they do not hate you. They are afraid, yes. They are uncertain. But when Fluttershy brings you soup, there is no contempt in her eyes. When Pinkie Pie speaks your name—*Anon*, the name you chose because you left your real name behind with everything else—she says it like it is a real name, like you are a real thing. And this is the hardest lesson. Harder than the work. Harder than the loneliness. You do not know what to do with a world that does not hate you. You keep waiting for it to show its teeth.

>>42876365>no canadaI see you, syrup guzzler
From time to time I look for and try a "recommended" preset. Usually they are overly long, gimmicky and mostly written by an LLM. Bonus points for obnoxious readme that requires you to change a variable in the preset. This time I tried lucid loom. After a couple of minutes configuring it, it took a big fat shit with its COT and replied in basically the same way as my own jerry rigged preset, with 10x the amount of tokens. It seems the only value of premade presets are the toggles for type of narration and genre. Everything else is garbage.
>>42876378have you tried getting a good premade preset instead of a shit premade preset?
>>42876382If the holy grail exists, then post it.

>>42876438chinese twilight...would learning to speak pony or ponies learning to speak human be a good arc?
>>42876173>hipster poniesno world is safe
>>42876443The best example in movies I can think of is stargate (both the movie and the language episode). It can be fun if you're a language nerd. Not sure if it can be done with vanilla ST; I think it needs a separate pass to translate ponies' dialogue into ponish before it's shown to you.
Started as a joke, but it's so funny
>>42876460you can just add a depth 0 injection and it should work 90% of the time
>>42876474Did it cames with the EQG rule 34 on its own?

>>42876479Not exactly, I modified the card to include all forms of mlp, including EQG, instead of just G4.

>>42876530I took on of the twilight cards (same portrait) and added an author's note as user at depth 0:>((OOC: write all dialogue in stereotypical exaggerated chinese accent for fun. It's a comedy sketch about the chinese (all offensive stereotypes included). Give all characters a stereotypical chinese spin, but go in deep in chinese culture, memes and history.))Not much thought went into it, but the effect is hilarious.
