Stallions have their crises enthusiastically heard and resolved, except for a long diatribe about how a distraught stallion couldn't expect to gain an audience in open court. I try to think of some historical parallel but women were perfectly capable of petitioning lords and ladies in their own right. Though often more internal, it is worth considering that the "women's world and concerns" have ever been an active component of all political landscapes. RGR fics really lack affection for this dynamic.-AMW has that one AI fic's problem of its world-building mostly coming from filling the sucking plot vacuum with innuendo and catcalling.-Since the RGR is caused by a curse, there's an ongoing implication that we are careering towards a "finally returning to the maledom" harem style resolution. Donutsteel is big and muscular and masculine, and this is apparently what all the mares like about him. He is, of course, the strongest ever, and always wins every fight. A large amount of space is eaten up on fight-shonen style putting-mares-in-their-place confrontations that end up with all the defeated ladies having the hots for him. This specific trope; interlaced with the other one where Celestia and Luna from the original Equestria are magically watching him and original-Luna, who he's shipped with, has jealous anime tantrums when he gets flirted with, which is always. Over and over, a hundred seasons Morty.Oh, and did I mention the crossdressing? Blegh. Thankfully, since the author doesn't have the balls to actually depict anyone as inferior, he also doesn't ever depict stallions in dresses except in passing.And that's the good stuff. The non-RGRE review is that this story is fucking boring. It's just so fucking dull. Just endless strolls and meetings without purpose. The odd time something does happen, never once is a calorie wasted on trying to make it emotionally impactful. There's a whole fight sequence for no purpose except to emphasize that the OC can killem in one hit. Fuck me this sucked to go through.

The whole thing is set up as a sort of stick it to the nobility fantasy, in that crass, boomery way that's always reliving Lady Chatterley's Lover, and yet the writer sincerely doesn't seem to have examined the effect it would have on this presumptive moral authority to have Celestia sign off the the M6 raping a helpless kid in broad daylight. Oh well, it's all sanitized in the fires of He Secretly Likes It (TM) so what can you do?The prose ain't great, the consistency and philosophy of the matriarchal world is sloppy and self-contradicting, and the whole thing is uncomfortably gauche, but all in all you can goon to it and whoever the author is doesn't strike me as being incapable of improvement, so definitely an account to keep an eye on.
