Things are much slower than they used to. Obviously, holidays are approaching, but were the shitstirrers and vagueposters really responsible for that much traffic?
>>42886617Possibly yes. The threads have been slower than the historic average since around the end of 2024. For a long time, each /opg/ thread lasted around 2~3 days, sometimes not even 24 hours. Throughout the first half of 2025, 4 day-threads were the norm, and now 6-day threads seem to the usual. These kind of numbers used to only be achievable during events like Mare Fair.My best guess for the reason is that most of the main shitstirrers either finally lost interest, or life ended up getting in the way of their hobby like it was the case for a certain abrasive popen that seems to have just disappeared.
>>42886658>spoilerkysunrelated to thatas a separate shitter, I'm actually just too depressed to threadshit anymore. I don't have the energy to be an asshole these days, even tho it was something of a pastime for meunfortunately all of my hobbies are uninteresting to me these days, even the non-shitter ones, so what really is the point anymore
>>42886666nice numbers though supersatan

>>42886617Baltimare is slow for several reasons and by extension the threadSL in general is a dying game, most of the playerbase is hitting their 30's and 40's with very little new blood willing to try out a jank old 3D chatroom from the early ages of onlinemost newcomers deal with either hostility or completely ignored outside of the 5 seconds someone new has joined the sim to make sure they aren't a >nohoovesregular scheduled events means there's little reason to be there outside of them which is a studied problem in MMOs
>drags random sweet pony name into shitter accusations bc lol
>>42886666That's why you don't shit where you eat, genius
>>42886972>implyingmaybe simply the audacity will bring me back to life
>>42886617You must never underestimate the sheer volume of posts just one or two hyperfixated and sociopathic autists can spew onto a thread if left unattended. I've been in MMO Generals where 200+ posts vanish in an instant, because one single person was hit with a 3-day.Would say the last thread was one of the better ones we've had recently in terms of overall quality, despite its relatively slower pace. Started out choppy, but turned out nice before long.I'd much rather take threads like those, ones which receive a few dozen meaningful posts a day and foster a good atmosphere, over ones which become multi-day threadshitting contests between 2-3 babies who absolutely NEED to get the last word in over one another. (Or one person sockpuppeting arguments with themselves for days on-end, either/or).
I for one enjoy this pace. You can easily read up if you've missed a day while in the 1 thread per day or even faster days it became kinda cumbersome especially since most of it wasn't quality stuff and you had to skip every second post.If I wanted speed I'd read threads on /v/ or something.
>>42886866Just threadshitters died of AIDS at last
Do not fondue the deer
>>42886617SL in general is a dead game. When /opg/ kicked off it was brand new and seething with activity. All in all it's been keeping up quite well 3.5 years later IMO, but a gradual dropoff in activity is to be expected. New anons hop in pretty rarely while old anons get bored and leave over time, or even just become lazier and more AFK even if they haven't left. It's not like it's realistic to expect /opg/ to last forever; one day activity will just drop so low that the sim will become a ghost town.
>>42887116We lost some ponies due to shit people in a thread and in sim. One pony dissipated in thin air and another become nohooves. Take care of the mares around you. After all, we are a endangered species.
>>42887121>and another become nohooves.losing your hooves is the worst sickness
What's the name of this one eye stare drum BOMMM gesture ponies are using?
