The Lunar Revolution.

>>42892743>the Crystal Empire got soft nukedWhat?
there is literally a hoi4 mod for this
>>42892142Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori.
>>42892758As in, it was wiped off the face of Equestria in a flash, much like the bombs did. Granted it was only cursed for 1000 years, and the tyrant himself did it out of spite, but I'm working with very loose parallels here. Sombra = emperor hirohito/hitler. The empire fights with mind controlled kamikaze fanatics as soldiers. The rest of the crystal ponies are in concentra-, I mean, enslavement camps fueling the war machine.>>42892830Their fanfiction sucks though.
>42892178>retarded neverserved>in 2025>when the US military is having a recruitment crisisAnon, what were you thinking?I mean if you enjoy being yelled at and recklessly forced to carry heavy loads without pacing yourself, go for it.
>>42892862Why do you think Equestria at War sucks?
>>42892142War is cool to people who have never fought it. Pretty sure thats a trope in fiction.
>>42892108There's no war in Equestria, ponies don't like violence.
>>42892874"Crisis" is over as of this year. The more general "crisis" is mostly due to unsuitability of most of the civilian population for service due to other factors, from drug addiction to mental illness and obesity. >>42892902War is a different thing to different people. Yes, it has always been romanticized. But it, along with service, also produces experiences for people and between people that are seldom found elsewhere. It unites people who would otherwise never meet or associate. Therein lies some of its value. Also about half the guys in SF are there because they just want the adventure and don't mind the killing. There are other reasons. But that is enough, especially on this board of all places.
>>42892934>unsuitability of most of the civilian population for serviceDrone Swarms powered by AI are already being tested in Ukraine. The future is now, meatbag.
>>42892878NTA, but it's clearly written by liberals, since it's extremely lazy (WW2 but in the MLP setting) and extremely racist (with imaginary scenarios where racist propaganda is the actual situation and genocide is the correct solution), but guilt-trips you for going down the routes that don't make your country completely helpless.
>>42892142It's not cool, it's interesting, interesting enough that humans have been doing it for as long as history can record. I suppose we're drawn to it to find out why.
>>42892934>But it, along with service, also produces experiences for people and between people that are seldom found elsewhere. It unites people who would otherwise never meet or associate. You're just romanticizing it again. No semi-rational person wants to be sent to foreign lands to fight for the advancement of someone they will never meet in person, whether they're Roman, mongolian, from the Neolithic era, to some poor kid dying in a trench in WW1 to now, or the distant future where drones and jeets make up 99% of the forces. Defending yourself is all well and good, killing for food or defense again fine, but warfare? Never.
