Is My Little Pony the ONLY reason The Hub got more attention than Discovery Kids in the USA?
>>
>>42892573
No. The Hub reaired a lot of old shows that people liked and had Transformers and Dan VS which both did good too. Pony is a big reason, but not the only.

hee hee guys replace "the" in "The Hub" with porn
LOL!!!!

Yes. The Hub re->>42892573
aired a lot of old shows that nobody really cared about and had a shitty Transformers show and Dan Vs(which, while good, wasn't a good fit for the channel and the ratings reflect that). Pony is a big reason, and it is the only reason.

I mainly ask because it felt like there were a bunch of people who didn't watch Discovery Kids, but suddenly got interested in the channel when it became The Hub and I always wondered why that was the case

There were people that didn't give a shit about Kenny the Shark and Bindi the Jungle Girl, but when The Hub launched with reruns of Fraggle Rock and Batman Beyond, plus shows created for the network like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, people all of a sudden got interested

Despite being the shortest lived of the three networks (Discovery Kids, The Hub, and Discovery Family), The Hub was discussed more than the other two

What made Dan Vs not a good fit for The Hub? I watched it and it seemed family friendly enough for The Hub. There wasn't any swearing or explicitly sexual content

It was geared more towards teens i feel. Some of the humour would've gone over the heads of the age bracket of most of the other shows on the Hub.

Animaniacs also reran on The Hub and that too had humor that would go over the heads of kids. Same with Tiny Toons, but to a lesser extent than Animaniacs

The Aquabats Super Show had some crazy jokes sprinkled in it too.

Why didn't The Hub feel like carrying over the Discovery Kids shows when it launched? The only ones The Hub had outside of crappy 4-6AM timeslots were Tutenstein, Endurance, Truth or Scare, and Strange Days at Blake Holsey High. The Discovery Kids shows weren't even that old in 2010

Though I wonder how MLP got away with it
