>Go to a Christmas lunch today
>Small child at the reunion
>I ask her if she watches My Little Pony
>She had no idea what it was

It is probably a simple coincidence, but it left me thinking: Do girls even care about ponies anymore? parents can't find anything healthy for them to watch? Am I just having another pre-mature mid-life crisis?

I really don't know how much to blame Hasbro for their incompetence, smartphones and content farms for taking over their brains or something else I'm forgetting.

Oh boy, I'm sure this thread wont be derailed at all infact it's the best thread I've seen here in a long time, you sure saved a gem for today, OP.

I think they watch youtube or tiktok mostly these days
Roblox streamers or something
>>
>>42902170
I honestly do not know why this affects or should affect you.
>>
yes, they do.
>>
>>42902170
Girls never watched MLP. It was us all along.

I assume that's the case, but some of those content farms do reference MLP a few times, so it makes me think how much relevance FiM actually retains.
I wonder if the many video-essays about how some popular bronies were child molesters considerably affected the public perception of the franchise.
It probably didn't as most parents of Gen Alphas don't watch those types of videos, but it would be very funny if it had. It would mean that Hasbro will be stuck with a bunch of dysfunctional autistic fags for a long time. They ruined what we love (mares) so we ruined what they love (money) in return.
>>
>>42902170
Hasbro didn't go all in on pandering to the modern child, and you should be grateful for that.
>>
>>42902270
It really doesn't, but I'm not particularly fond of shows about cute horses becoming irrelevant with new generations.
>>
>>42902810
No but they did enough pandering to ruin any possible enjoyment a person older than five could get from their new stuff.
G% would suck regardless, but it could've been a bit more bearable if it didn't try to be hip at all.

>Do girls even watch ponies
They do
>Small child
Unless their parents put mlp on for them, they won't know anything but tiktok and youtube
>parents can't find anything healthy for them to watch?
There's more shit parents than there are good parents unfortunately, it's easier to throw a tablet at a kid than to download mlp or bluey on it

Why would you want legacy for something you're not even a part of? Faust created the show and she doesn't seem particularly concerned about what happened.

>Why would you want legacy for something you're not even a part of?

Because I appreciate what cute horses have done to unite people and I'm thankful to those who fought to keep the light of said shows alive.

Anon, MLP peaked in 2015. Girls who were old enough to remember anything about it are now teenagers who are probably embarrassed of their childhood passions, and are now into shows for adults that only teens watch.
>>
>>42903860
I'm well aware of that, but I assumed the show would retain some level of relevance among new generations based on merch I see around sometimes. I probably it too much credit if I'm being honest.
>>
>>42903860
People who "cringe" at their younger days interests and hobbies but then upload themselves to tiktok dancing like apes have no place deciding what is cringe and what is not
>>
Why the fuck is /mlp/ having so many threads about little girls lately?
>>
>>42904002
Some people here just have an interest in kids! Don't be so judgy judgemental, Anon!
>>
>>42902170
girls?

That's what you all get for stealing a show that was made for little girls and appropriating it as your own.
>>
>>42904204
I don't give a fuck. All the mares are belong to us. Once Hasbro realizes that little girls only care about youtube slop and dandy's world, they will abandom the IP and it will be ours.
>>
>>42902170
Yes.

Good.

Female franchise, and Lauren is female and a feminist. Seethe and die.
>>
>>42904864
>Female franchise
Not anymore. Mine now.
>>
>>42904208
This but unironically. Tiktok slop addicted parasites are about the last humans on my list that I feel empathy for.
>>
>>42904864
>Female franchise
made for male enjoyment
>>
>I can't use my special interest as an excuse to talk to little girls anymore, whatever will I do?

You can't? Do you miss it then?
