You wake up next to the large zebra snoring next to you. After coming to, you can’t help but to take the big mare in a hug. That makes her stir awake, and she soon locks you in a tight embrace, uttering a little drowsy chuckle.

“Last night was memorable.” You breathe out, your head squeezed against a striped mare’s side. “I must admit. I’m still in awe at how large your teats got. Most mares don’t want to go for such a size, so seeing yours feels like a dream come true. If I may ask, how come you’re okay to go for such imposing tits unlike the rest of the mares?”

You discuss some more with Knifepoint before you finally leave the bed. Among the topics, you tell the zebra mare about how you found out your calling and got your cutie mark. A story she seems to find… a bit boring.
“Heh. You ponies and your ‘origin stories’”. She rolls her eyes. “I grew up in the streets, so I didn’t need my special butt-voice to tell me what I had to do to survive. One evening I just had my mark, so I’m not even sure what triggered it. A good day during which I was able to… ‘recover’ a fat purse of coins if I remember correctly. ‘twas probably it.”

Shortly after, you go back to the inn for breakfast, and start to think about what you should do today.
While she’ll arrive the day after tomorrow, Brass Compass already advised you to move to the upper part of town in her letter. She even recommended an inn for you to stay at, but Knifepoint doesn’t seem to like the idea for now.
“Sounds like the no-fun part of the city if you ask me.” She shrugs. “And I feel like I would stick out too much up there, so I’ll be staying around here if you wanna go.”

Nothing forces you to travel there yet. There’s a small toll to enter even, and you wonder if that could be the actual reason Knifepoint doesn’t want to go to upper Port Sunrise.
If you stay where you are, then you might as well do something with your time, unless you plan to spend the day lounging around, which is a possibility of course. The weather is nice and there are beautiful white-sand beaches around these parts.

While you don’t plan to tackle it now, that quest about a rat problem reminds you that Ratchel warned you that your ability to communicate with rats would fade away if you didn’t use it for a week. The harbor houses lots of little candidates in the narrow streets for you to verify that, and you find no rodent that seem like they want to hold a conversation. You don’t hear anything coherent while they scurry away from you as you call towards them either, so most likely Ratchel’s warning became true, and you indeed lost the ability to talk to rats. Aside from going back to the rat-witch herself, you’re not sure how you could get to talk to them again. Communicating with Hilda is going to be more bothersome without a way to do so…. Maybe another adventurer, or a wizard or druid of some sort could help? You’ll have to check that later, especially as you have a hunch you could peacefully resolve this one quest if you regained this ability.

For now, you ponder about buying some presents and pastries, but there isn't any appealing bakery around, and you find only coarse bread and sometimes shabby pretzels. For what you can find in lower Port Sunrise, check out the bottom of the ponepaste: https://ponepaste.org/11646
You also decide to ask Knifepoint if she wants to go shop for a weapon more adequate for her new constitution. The mare already scavenged what seems to be a whole ship’s jib to use as a bra, and she’s glad to go look for a new weapon with more punch.
“I want thinking of getting you a blackjack, like you said.” You recall. “Still think that’s the better weapon for your new methods?”
“Yeah, but I’m pretty sure they don’t have the size I want in stores. Fortunately, that’s the kind of weapon you don’t need an expert blacksmith to build.”
Instead of weapons stores for adventurers, Knifepoint chooses the workshops that sell boat parts. She gets herself a medium beam of wood, fixes a cannonball as wide as your hoof at one end by covering it with several layers of leather and holding it with nails, and then sticks it all together with dark tar. The resulting weighted bat looks like it can do some serious damage indeed.
“There were go!” Knifepoint smiles to herself after crafting her new tool with your help. “I’ll let this dry until tomorrow, then I’ll nail a strap to the handle. I’ll just use a good old big stick in the meantime.”
“I paid for the room at the inn in advance.” She adds as you leave the over-sized club in the room, before craning her neck down to place a little kiss on your cheek. “And thanks for the helping hoof, Hearty.”

In the meantime, you decide to accept the quest about collecting payment from Seafarer Blue, and go meet the other pony that signed up for it.

"Mh." You nod, looking at the mare's pet. "What is his specialty? Your companion looks like a valiant one."
"Of course. His name is Robert. He's a sweetheart!" Wet Snout says, pride in her voice. "He's strong and smart. He can swim very well, and even carry ponies out of the water if they're drowning. He's also good enough with his nose to follow a trail."
"He sure looks well-trained." You smile at the dog who's been patiently waiting along her mistress so far. "I'm sure he's even got some heroic feats under his collar."
"Of course. Robert has saved several lives already." Wet Snout pats the black fluffy mass next to her. "Like one night, a drunken pegasus just feel straight into the water from the sky. Robert leaped off his enclosure from hearing the splash and brought him back to the shore, all by himself."

"He sounds like a proper hero alright." You nod. "I also happen to have a trained animal companion. Somebody else is taking care of her right now, but a crafty little rat named Hilda has been accompanying me in my recent adventures. She knows a whole lot of tricks. I'd even say she's practically a miniature rogue on her own."
"Ooh, sounds interesting." Wet Snout smiles. "I've heard you could train rats to perform lots of tours, but I've yet to see one of sure critters myself."
"She sure is a sight to behold. But also… would you happen to know about a way to talk with animals? Hilda's a very smart one, so I've been looking for a way to have some actual conversions with her."

"So why don't you want to go to upper town?" You then ask Knifepoint, changing the subject. "Do you really think you'll stand out that much? And why do you call it the no-fun part of town? Have you been there before?"
"Nah, it's my first time in Port Sunrise, and I remained in the harbor so far." She says. "But I think I wouldn't be able to do much 'work' in the upper city, you see? I mean, look around. Everybody's busy around here, working hard, doing actual stuff loading ships and carts and stuff, so they won't have any time to take care of things like petty thieves and troublemakers. So we can just, you know, do stuff here. Like… surely, we won't have to, but if we end up having to rough up that Seafarer mare for the coins, most likely nopony will come after us for it. Upper city however? I think the toll exists to keep away the strangers and travelers to get there in the first place. I have a hunch the folks up there like it extra quiet. I think that's where all the big wigs of the city live too, and you can bet there's gonna be a whole lot of guards to arrest you for just looking at them weird. So unless I've got a lot of coins to spend or a big job in the works, I'd rather avoid the place."

Your little party eventually arrives at the pub which is owned by the client of this quest. He explains to you that the target drank here a couple of times and ran away after ordering a whole lot of glasses and bottles. He also gives you a description of the mare.
"I know she works at the docks." The owner says. "And even though she's an earth pony, she's a real escape artist. She knows all the little streets around the harbor and hides in the warehouses when she needs to. The other dockers won't denounce her to the guards of course."

Heh Wet Snout likes what she see on Knifepoint bet she wants to feel some of that magic on her so she can have those milky teats too her pink nervous blushing is a dead giveaway. But since we're low on mana we'll have to use our magic on her next time when we chose to go on another quest not sure how many days she'll have to wait, but she gets her chance someday.

Hmm we're catching a drunker basically so using Robert to catch her sense is what we should do but the rolling is too high can't risk failing an easy quest like that, as for the second option intimidation would get those dockers workers to start talking immediately if they don't want to get hurt, yet it may bring trouble for us and our friends if we do, lastly hosting a party down at the docks is a safer idea no pony will hate us and it will lure the target out of hiding in a false sense of security since she likes to drink she has an addiction to liquor and want it as her fix.

C is the best idea to go for we'll lose 30 coins but we'll get that back as our payment for the job being done anyway plus 50 xp time for the stallion to get a level up.

You make it to the harbor with your drinks, and there you start to play with your instrument. As some of the dock workers approach and inquire about your presence, you tell them this bard would like to the hear the stories of seasoned sailors for inspiration, and that you'd gladly offer a glass or two to keep their throats well-hydrated.
You soon gather a little crowd of boatponies this way, recounting tales about storms, pirates and sirens while enjoying drinks as they sit on barrels in a makeshift pub of sorts. Knifepoint and Wet Snout remain a little further away at this point, but you do not have to wait for long before a mare fitting the description of Seafarer Blue approaches. You let her get her glasses, as you're happy to share the buzz of alcohol with everypony.

After you pretend that it's time for you to go and that the crowd dissipates, you join Knifepoint and Wet Snout who are tailing Seafarer Blue who seems obvious to your presence so far, the booze probably helping with that.
Once you get a good occasion, Knifepoint comes out of a warehouse right as your target passes in front of it. She snatches the comparatively lightweight earth mare before she can react, and a few seconds later throws her down in an alley by the water where nopony will come to disturb you.

"Woah, *urg* what's the big idea, guys?" The mare tries not to sound scared, but with Knifepoint looming over her after throwing her around like she was made of straw, the mare is obviously very scared of you. "Do I know you? What is this about?"
"It's about your drinking habits, pipsqueak." Knifepoint replies. "I mean, your habit of not paying for what you order, specifically. We have a debt to collect from you. So please be nice and pay up, or else…"
"W-wait! Hold on!" The mare nervously stutters, as the big zebra mare closes in. "Do I look like I have that much money? I would have paid if I could, I swear. But I barely have anything more than the clothes on my back."
"You have a job." Wet Snout states. "If you don't have enough coins now, we'll bring you to the guards, and we can schedule a share of your salary to go pay your debt over time."
"Aw, but…" The mare desperately looks around for a way to escape, but you're covering the only issues right now. "Listen. Is this really so important you all have to gang up on me? I think I know which guy hired you, and he overcharges for his drinks and he's loaded with coins, while I'm just a poor working mare who likes to blow off some steam after a long day of toil. Won't you have mercy on a lone mare in need? Look, I… know a couple ponies, like… they're quite important folks around here, and sometimes they work with adventurers. I'm sure that bar owner is paying you pennies to come after me, while I could help you get jobs where you can make some real money. I'll introduce you to them tonight if you let me go, so… pretty please?"

A part of me wants to pick B so Knifepoint has permission to make it hurt on Blue, but I think it will be better if she gets thrown into a jail ceil, so she can suffer in a small confined space for a while and think about what she done.

Going for A let Seafarer know that money isn't always everything and she can't bargain her way out of trouble all the time she needs to be held accountable for her actions and knows what it means to be responsible otherwise she could end up in a situation that might end getting herself killed.

"Nah, you're gonna have to answer to the guards." You state, which earns you an approving nod from Wet Snout.

Keeping the blue mare on a short leash, you do the walk towards the barracks. Wet Snout seems to be acquiesced with some of the pony-at-arms here as you arrive, and you're welcomed decently enough as you explain the situation. The authorities ask you to go fetch the owner of the bar to proceed, and within an hour you've got a confession out of Seafarer Blue, and a contract between her and the bar owner for the settlement of the debt that'll be presented directly to the mare's current employer.

Once you're done with this administrative adventure, the client of the quest comes out satisfied of the guard post, and gives you your reward.

Hah serve that mare right her reckless past actions is coming back to bite her in the flanks now. Even though letter A didn't say Wet Snout affection for us will go up, but from what the text just said it obvious she approves of it and like us more. Okay what to do now umm Brass, Chara, and Hilda will be here tomorrow, but I doubt they'll show up in the morning since they'll need several or a few hours to get to the upper city Port Sunrise so hearty will come across them in the afternoon within the city as he's pondering what to do next or at night time in the upper city tavern there once the day is over therefore, he should head to the upper city when next day morning comes he'll still have a chance to do his shopping for his friends to surprise them when they arrive.

That angry big fish hmm quite a shock a sea bass mare since she three times the normal size bet she has a lot of body mass strength and fat weight okay this one we mostly likely may have to use our mana but we can't we need to saved all our leftovers to give to Knifepoint tonight small chances of us winning the rolling without growing anypony. As for the pirates quest we need at least 5, 6, or 7 manas if we're going to have any shot of accomplishing that.

Taking the Rat problem job is a sure fire away to finish another quest without using any mana and we'll earn a lot of money. Maybe we can use the food around here to distract the rat attention to the heirloom and snatched it from its claws grasp while its having a meal, use something to scared it away, or just fighting it to the death with our party members.

Ask Wet Snout if she's a local or just knows the area, judging from how she's seems acquainted with the guards. (Going with the latter considering it's not the first time we saw her name.) Ask her if she knows any areas in the lower city where one can relax or have fun, besides a bar. Might just take the rest of the time off and hangout/date with Knifepoint somewhere to get to know her better before leveling up once the next day is reached.

Also, buy and send a letter to Brass that we're staying at the inn where we're at with Knifepoint so we don't miss each other tomorrow. So in sex-magick type stuff then when you share an orgasm with someone it is the equivalent to electrons charging in atoms and because the the microcosm and microcosm, and by quantum entanglement, you become a bonded pair with everyone you have ever had sex with. In MLP they make it child friendly where the quantum entanglement is friendship. So every friend you have every made is part of your magickal charge.

BTW, its not like a made thing, its more like a thing I am making up right now. I was inspired by ChrisChan saying that he learned real magick from MLP. I decided to check the show out because I knew a little about sex magick, inner alchemy, cabala, ritual magick, chaos magick (mostly sigils), and I'm working on forming a tulpa (but its my first tulpa and I dont want a pinky pie incident so I am using the Hiker sprite from pokemon as my tulpa prototype). You think about sending some mail to Brass Compass since you're staying in lower city for now. However, she's scheduled to arrive the day after tomorrow, so you can still put that on hold for now. You could still change your mind before that and go to upper city tomorrow, also. You could even send the letter the day Brass Compass arrives, and tell her here you are at this moment.

"Say, I didn't ask so far, but are you from Port Sunrise?" You ask Wet Snout for now. "It seemed like you already knew the guards."
"I live here actually, yes." She nods. "Like I said, I have a job in training and taking care of dogs, but I also do some quests from time to time, and it isn't rare I end up having the guards involved in some way during those."

"Oh. Well, it's my first time in the city actually." You say. "Can you tell me about some places to relax, or to have some fun in lower Port Sunrise? Aside from the pubs I mean. There sure is plenty of those around, and even if they're nice, I'd like to know what else the city has to offer."
"Aside from pubs, you say…?" The mare ponders a little. "Well, there's a casino in lower Port Sunrise if that's your thing, the Pirate's Bounty. But I'd say that's about it for that part of the city. Ponies mostly enjoy going to a bar or cabaret at the end of a day of work around here. However, there are lots of beautiful spots for a picnic out of town, may in be on top of the cliffs over the ocean, or simply on the beach. I personally love going on long walks with Robert or with other dogs I take care of. Oh! You can buy a kite if you want to try flying one. Again, you'll have to walk away from town, but it's really fun, and there's enough wind for it most days. Now, if you're looking for more sophisticated stuff, you'll have no choice but to go to upper city. They have a concert room, an opera, libraries and shops with much more varied wares there."

After thanking Wet Snout for the tips, you part ways with her for now. After a short lunch break, you decide to go for one more quest for today with Knifepoint. You take up the Rat Problem quest, and meet up with the other adventurer who signed up for it.

"You're here for the job about going into the sewers?" The green mare says as a greeting when you approach, her voice raspy and monotonous.
"Yes, hello. My name is Whispering Heart…" You reply, but already, the unicorn's eyes turned to your larger companion.
"Is that from a potion?" She asks.
"Nope, that would just be the result of my magic on my friend Knifepoint." You inform her.
"Mmh. I see." She just utters, sounding slightly disappointed. "My name is Ichorice. Ready to go?"

Ask why would a mare like her take on a quest to catch a rat stealing somepony heirloom is she trying to perform a new spell, use a experimental magic potion on the rat, it simply the right thing to do, for the coins, or is she doing this for training to keep her magic refined and improved on? Ask Knifepoint if she has any clever street smarts trap ideas that can help us captured a chasing rat in the sewers? Will her bra handle the raw wet sewage down the sewers without hindering her efforts he don't want her to think and believe she'll slowing us down with those puppies out and hanging hearty wants the rogue around?!

"I'm a wandering adventurer." Ichorice replies when you ask her where she's from. "I grew up in Misty Docks. I arrived here a few days ago because I hope to get exotic herbs from the harbor. That's also why I'm doing this job. For the coins."
Misty Docks is situated far to the northwest if you remember correctly, far beyond Starpoint Keep and after the Meeting Grounds. Also, since Ichorice only got to Port Sunrise recently, you don't think she knows about Ratchel.

"You've travelled a long way to this place, then." You nod, slightly impressed. "As for me, I'm from a small village around Meadowburg where I learned some secrets of bardic magic. But say, are you alright right now? Your eyes seem to look a little red."
"Don't worry about that." The unicorn shakes her head. "That's just because of the poison I drink."
"You… drink poison?"
"Yes, for resistance. Thanks to that I can use many times more ingredients for my own brews, since I don't have to worry about the poisonous ones." There, the unicorn points at the little vials at her belt. "I can use these to breathe fire, cold or poison, among other stuff. Don't try using those yourself, though. Like I said, they're toxic."

"Alright then. I wondered of you had too much bottled rage perhaps." You attempt to joke, but the mare in from of you doesn't show you any reaction. "So… you're definitely an alchemist, right? What other recipes do you know?"
"I specialize in poisons, but I can also make some basic potions, like healing ones if that's what you're asking. Those won't poison you, aside from alchemic illness of course."
"Would you know how to make a potion to speak to animals?" You ask. "Or to speak to rats in particular?"
"Mmh…" She ponders for a second. "Yes, I think I have a recipe for that. The components aren't too rare either. I could buy those in this city, but it'll still cost some coins."

"That's good to know." You nod. "On my side, you already saw what my magic can do. If we need any more hoofpower during this quest, I'll be able to grow you too of course. That reminds me, why did you ask if that spell was from a potion?"
"Because it looks impressive, and I don't have any recipe that does it." Ichorice replies "I just wondered if you had bought such a potion around here."
"Oh, but surely such magic can be achieved by alchemy too." You say. "Perhaps we could study together later and find out."
"Can we?" You see her raise an eyebrow under her hat. "How would that work? Do you know about reagents that match your magic?"

"Actually…" As a bard, you have little theoretical knowledge on magic, and even less on alchemy. Right now, you don't think you'd be very helpful to devise any potion whatsoever. "No, I don't, b-but anyway! Why did you become an adventurer, Ichorice? And what do you like to do for fun?"

You hear a little sigh before she replies.
"I do quests to pay for stuff, and I like being alone in silence for fun." Ichorice starts walking faster, moving ahead from you.

Obviously the green unicorn got a little annoyed with you, but hopefully succeeding the quest is her will get her to warm up to you a little.
"Hey Knifepoint." You approach the large zebra mare instead. "So? Ready for a trot in the sewers? I hope your bra's gonna hold up."
"I hope so too, but I might just make another if I get this one dirty. A sewage-dipped bra sounds absolutely disgusting."
"Sure does." You nod. "Anyway, I dare say we've done some good work together thus far, but what do you like to do for fun? I kinda want to take a break tomorrow or the day after. Would you like to join me maybe? And show me what you like to do with those legally hard-earned coins of yours?"
"Heheh." She shows you a smile. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind chilling for a day. Around here, we could just eat someplace fancy, and then go to the beach. I'll show you a ball game from home too, if you don’t mind unfair challenges…"
"Sounds fun enough to me." You nod. "But I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised you aren't more of a big spender, with all to coins you're after. Have you heard there's a casino in town? Don't you want to check it out?"
"Nah, the house always wins, and I'm a sore loser." She says. "To be honest, I'd like to save up and buy my own place eventually. If Sky Diamond end up keeping its promises, I might want to make my den there."
"Really?" You look up quizzically at the mare. "I didn't expect you to want to settle down. Does that mean you'll stop going on adventures at some point?"

You meet the client shortly after that. He explains to you that the sewers spread all under Port Sunrise, including the upper part of the city. Rats are swarming down there, so your endeavor might amount to search a needle in a haybale, especially as the client doesn’t have any other lead to share with you.

So Ichorice is a mare that specializes in crafting various potions and poisons, she prioritize working, and prefers peace and quiet over innate chit chat. Surprised to hear Knifepoint want to get a house in Sky Diamond with our help it shouldn't be too difficult for her to get that we just got to keep growing her allowing her to have an easier time completing quests with and without Hearty and persuade her to come along with us to the pony capital. If most of us do vote to spend the day with the zebra tomorrow at the beach and eating at a restaurant; I hope we'll run into the others at night, so we'll still have enough time to go to the upper city in the afternoon to buy gifts for our comrades and lodge at the tavern inn in time The Lulling Waves Brass compass told us about and where she'll find us for our reunion after all we only explore half the city it doesn't make sense why we shouldn't see the rest of Port Sunrise.

Okay with that out of the way time to put in my choice. I'm not comfortable with picking A blindly chasing around rats in the sewers man we'll probably just end up going in circles, B though using jewelry as bait sounds like a good idea but the rolling is a 50-50 gamble if we fail then we just got outsmarted by rodents, and C if asking the rats for help doesn't work we're be going for brute force on them.

I'm falling on my decision for C it will give us a better success rate and it rather better we gain another mana added to us so we can give it all to Knifepoint in our private room in the Inn later on tonight.

As Ichorice told you, you're able to get the ingredients from the stores easily enough, and the mare produces a mixture that you can drink, all within an hour.
"Is this how you'd have tried to solve this case if you were on your own?" You ask Ichorice.
"'Wouldn't have done that first." She shrugs. "I probably would have tried to look for clues down the sewer, but you seemed confident this would work, and you paid for the components too."

Now ready, you get down the hole next to the client's house into the sewers. At least, you and Ichorice do. Knifepoint has to enter through one of the larger grates that flows into the sea to have a big enough point of entry.
Even in the day, there's barely any light down here, and you only have torches and the glow of Ichorice's horn. Just from getting down, you already saw a few rats scurrying away, and Knifepoint confirms she saw a whole bunch of them as she walked through the sewers.

Thus, you start to look for witnesses among the rodents, and of course the critters' instincts tell them to flee rather than to answer questions. The first few you can get your hooves on are disappointing even then, babbling only about being scared and begging to be released.
"Only food is good outside!" One of the rodents you caught squeaked as you questioned it about the locket. "And only at night, and not in pony dens. Too dangerous most of the times…"

The rodents here seem to only have such things to say at first, but after some time, you hear different words from one of the furballs that you first see running along the walls of the sewers.
"Shiny… shiny… shiny…" He repeats to itself in the dark. "Must find more shiny…"

Finding it odd, you go after this one too. While he wiggles in your grasp like the others once caught, he keeps repeating his only word.
"What are you talking about?" You question. "What is shinny? And why does it sound so important to you?"
"Must find shiny!" The rat raves. "Must find shiny, and bring it back. All the shiny, I must get it."
After you translate the rat's words to your companions, you agree this one sounds like it has a good chance to be connected with the theft, and that it would be nice to learn where he has to 'bring it back'
"Here." Ichorice tosses one coin at the rat while you talk to him. "Is this shinny enough for you? We came here to give you this shinny, and so now you have to bring it back."
Repeating his words at it seem to please the rodent, and he gingerly takes the coin in his mouth as you release it on the ground. What follow is a run through the sewers as the rodent seem to have a precise destination in mind. He takes a few awkward turns, and crawls into pipes that are way too small for you at times, but you manage to stay close enough to your target.

Eventually, you arrive in front of a big metal door, with tiny openings at it's bottom, just big enough for rodents of its kind to make it through. The rat you've been following of course makes his way it.
You carefully approach, and crouch to look through the holes. Behind the door, you see several other rodents in a room looking like a basement, about 10 of them, each resting on their own little cushion. The rat who just got in approaches a pony silhouette which you can only see the bottom of, sitting in front of a table.
"Mmh? What do you have, here?" You hear a mare's voice. "Oh, a coin. Good. Put it on the pile."
The rat then scurries out of view.

The door is locked, but Ichorice whispers that a vial of acid she has would make short work of the lock with a minimal amount of commotion, once you've shared what you saw with the two mares.

Hmm after much thinking I'm rooting for B this mare doesn't seem to be a trouble maker more like a looting scavenger just trying to survive, so I think we can convince her to give us the heirloom locket back but we need to show her we're not pushovers so persuading her through strongarm means from our zebra friend will be necessary if the need arises use Ode to perfection on Knifepoint making her taller and face more sexy hot.

As she said she would, Ichorice produces a big flask of bright green liquid which she pours in the lock with a large dropper. Quickly enough, you start to hear a growing hissing sound as the metal starts to melt.
"Huh?" You hear the confused mare's voice inside. "What the…"
On this cue, Knifepoint cleanly bucks the door open with a mighty strike of her back hooves. You quickly get inside as some red-maned mare is hurriedly trying to get back on her hooves, the shock having made her fall off her chair in a panic.

"Sorry for the intrusion." You start. "But I'm afraid one of your little protegees stole something precious from our client yesterday. Surely that was a mistake, I have no doubt about that, but we must still recover that one particular locket. Do you have any idea where it could be?"

"Well, what do you say?" You push your opponent a little. "We don't have all day."
And as a bonus, you use your magic to make your big companion even larger, which makes the owner of this place take a fearful step back as Knifepoint now has to hunch over to merely fit in here.
"A-ah, well, a locket you say?" The mare in front of you replies, buying into your game. "Now that you talk about it, I think I remember that indeed I stumbled on an item like that. But like you said, this is just a misunderstanding, right? Surely that means there's no need to mention this place to your client, or to anypony else for that matter, right?"

Again, the mare appraises your words for a second.

With the heirloom secured, you can make the trip back through the sewers, and return the locket back to the client. He is genuinely impressed you found it back in one piece so soon. As promised to the mare you got it from, you reply that you found it in a den of rats, among the trash they gathered to make their nests.

Go back to the inn or anywhere else where there's a big enough bath for both Knifepoint and us to spend time together with her and wash off the smell we no doubt got from the sewers. "So what have you been up to today?" You first ask Dippy Hooves. "Have you located another ship to explore since the last one?"
"Not yet, Hearty." She shakes her head. "Thank goodness there isn't a vessel that crashes on the shore every single day. Right now, I'm trying to get a clearance to access the city's archives on construction. I'm hoping to find some ruined buildings to explore on the land for a change. In the meantime, I got my day job at the docks."

"Ah, that sound nice." You reply. "I hope I'll still be around to accompany you if you find something. Would you accept to have me around?"
"Mh. Sure." The blue mare nods.
"So how's your quest to get materials going." You then turn to Ichorice. "What kind of reagents where you looking for exactly?"
"Herbs from the Aloes Islands, and from the zebra country mostly." She replies, not giving much detail on her purpose. "There's some trade going on with the zebra country in this city again, and I'd like to avoid getting in zebra lands proper since I heard the situation is still… complicated there."
"Well, as a pony, the only issue you should have is the high tariff on entry if you want to go to the zebra lands." Knifepoint comments. "It doesn't look to me like defending yourself would be an issue for you."
"Yeah, but that's pretty much what I meant by complicated." Ichorice nods. "I'd be happy if I could get what I need without any tariff or fight, but I might resort to traveling south if I really need to."
"Whatever you choose, wouldn't it be simpler if you had an additional foot or two in height?" You note. "It can be very helpful both against foes and in a negotiation."
"Sure seems to work for you." She glances up at Knifepoint. "It's a good way of dealing with threats."
Despite your attempts at pushing the idea, Ichorice sounds neutral about growing. That, or she just didn't register the offer. You don't know whether she'd refuse if you openly offered to grow her at this point.

"So… How do you survive while drinking poison?" You ask instead. "Do you use some catalyst to help you with it?"

Unsure whether to dive further on the question for now, you instead turn to Wet Snout. As the hound mistress is accompanied by her faithful companion, you ask her whether the good boy knows any tricks, and Wet Snout is happy to give the rest of you a little show.
Robert impeccably obeys Wet Snout's commands. The mare didn't exactly teach her any flashy stuff, but his discipline is a little treat to the eye. "Yeah, he's used to work under pressure and around stuff he doesn't fully understand, like, even on boats while there's a storm going on and ponies running everywhere." Wet Snout explains. “It could be a fake face too.” Ichorice argues. “Maybe an illusion of some kind. For a thief that uses magic and tames rat, conjuring an attractive appearance could be useful for her. I have a hunch she could be more dangerous than her pretty dress would suggest, too.”

After you’ve shared a couple more drinks, you turn back to Ichorice again.
“So what made your family so invested in mastering poisons and resisting to it?” You ask the mare in black. “Do you think it could help ponykind as a whole to adapt to a more dangerous environment? Or to ward off disease like you do for yourself?”
“Nothing that grand or noble.” The green unicorn shrugs. “Using and selling poisons makes money, and not suffering from poison makes it much easier to work with it.”
“Oh, so you also sell poisons?”
“My parents did, in addition to adventuring. But their clients stopped coming when they left.”
“Ah, they’re on a trip I suppose.” You nod. “To find new ingredients for their craft like you are maybe?”
“No. They died on a quest.” Ichorice monotonously declares. “They got swallowed by a giant sea beast. That was several years ago.”
“Oh. Sorry to have brought it up then. You have my condolence.”
“Thanks.” Ichorice nods. “No biggie. I’m over it, sort of.”

Shortly after that, you turn in for the night, sharing a room with Knifepoint once more. And once again things get pretty heated between the two of you.

I'm tempted to go find the mare in the sewer to use it on her, but I don't think we ever did an action where hearty took a day off from questing before...hmm tomorrow brass will show up, so we should still have time to find the mare later today or tomorrow morning at least.

"Yeah, sure." She chuckles. "Would have been pretty sad if I wasn't to your taste after all this, right?"

"That's an understatement. The light of dawn on our curves is making you absolutely divine right now…" You grin at her as you get on your hooves. "But yeah, I'm feeling like taking a break today. There, as she walks, the giant zebra casually bumps her rump into a nearby house, causing a little tremor that shakes the whole building on its foundations. You hear the sturdy wood groan as well as of some pottery breaking inside. Of course, no pony dares to tell a thing your giant companion for this gratuitous act of near-destruction, and lots of ponies scurry away towards other streets instead.

"I see that. Anyway, let's go with the red bikini." You decide. "I think this one will look better on you"
"Heh. Why did I even bother asking?" Knifepoint smirks. "Of course you'd pick the one that shows the most coat."
"What can I say?" You smile back. "I just can't get enough of you."

In addition to helping Knifepoint sew together the straps and the little fabric she intends to wear, you also buy a ball and a net to play with Knifepoint, and stock up on a whole lot of sun lotion to apply on each other, but mostly on your big friend.
With the sun high in the sky and the warm winds over your coat, you make it to the beach. The whole coast around Port Sunrise has nice tracts of sand for all to enjoy. There are a few other beach-goers in the distance, and travelers on the road can see you from there, Knifepoint even more so of course, but aside from that you'll be on you own unless you decide to go meet other ponies. Though, the two of you already have everything you need to enjoy yourselves.

You first readily run into the salty water, reveling in the rush of freshness over yourselves. Knifepoint is quick to use her body to make waves, literally so this once. Between her hooves touching the bottom at a much greater depth than you, and the sheer scale of her which allows a greater speed, she has a lot of fun turning the water around you into a raging sea. You do get a little worried when the mare's efforts aim at pushing further and further away from the shore, but the big zebra mare eventually hears your pleas and mercifully decides to let you get back to the land a little.
Instead, with the help of a large rock that pokes out of the shallow water, Knifepoint decides to see how big of a divebomb she can make. The waves of her jumps are enough to make you travel 40 ft towards the shore, you end up asserting after many experiments. Similarly, you get yourself a thrill by diving into the sea from the cliff of Knifepoint's back. And then from atop her head. And then do so while she jumps herself. The zebra has a bit laugh at you for screaming at such a little fall. What could be scary about a mere 25' jump into the sea after all?

You come out of the water some time later, feeling spent from the colder temperature and scrambling the water.

Meanwhile, your big friend has a simpler, but very effective approach. "Heh. Thanks." She chuckles. "We just stitched straps and fabric, though. That's barely harder that fixing a hole in a cape. I know some weavers charge a bunch for underwear and sexy stuff, but that's all a big scam if you ask me."

After a little more lazing around, you decide to play the ball game your friend told you about. It is quite a simple one, about sending the ball back and forth between you without having it touch the ground. The match ends up not being as one sided as Knifepoint predicted. Indeed, simply shooting low makes it very hard for the massive mare to catch your throw, even if she occupies almost all her side of the field. The mare also prefers to show off her power instead of her precision, and more than once she ends up shooting offside. However, the shots she does make on target are extremely fast and powerful, and very hard for you to send back. Sometimes you decide to avoid the ball entirely and lose a point on purpose. While Knifepoint calls you a coward for it, you point out the craters in the sand as wide as you are long from her excessively strong throws to justify yourself.
The game abruptly ends on a tie a little before noon, when Knifepoint smashes the ball so hard it just explodes into smithereens against her hoof. The giant mare refuses to count this as a foul.

And they have tables outside too. Your friend plans to order pretty much the whole menu.

"Say, you've yet to tell me much about the jobs you did in the past." You start after you're received your order of drinks. "I'm curious now. May I ask about the jobs and quests you've done in the past? I'm sure you've come across lots of lucrative opportunities at this point."
"Mh. Why not." She nods. "Let's see… I really started adventuring when I got into pony lands actually." Knifepoint recounts. "I didn't really like the folks and the mood around Starpoint Keep, so at some point, once I was mostly over the exile thing, I went to look for jobs at Mountain's Door instead. Big mining town, half of it underground. Ponies dug so much in these mountains it's like a giant anthill, and the word around is that they only scratched the surface of all the ores and gems deposits down there. And so…" She leans her head to the side, looking up in the air. "Adventuring might not be the best word for the kind of jobs I did there, actually. Like, the place is a lawless mess. There are, like, ten companies extracting minerals and they're all actively sabotaging each other. The guards are bribed to hell and back too, so there's room for a lot of mischief. Some things I did included stealing veins maps, sabotaged wagons or even collapsing some galleries. The biggest thing I did was when I lured a whole tribe of goblins on a mining squad to get paid. And boy did I get paid. I was a hundred coins shy of ten thousand at my best."
The giant mare in front of you takes a little break, gulping some mead from the barrel she uses as a mug. There's some nostalgia in her tale, but from its subtle shift in tone, you reckon the bitter part comes now.

Anyway, not sure if it's because of you, but after our job together, I decided that I had laid low long enough."

"Were you already thinking about getting a house then?" You ask. "Because I reckon that even a few hundred short of ten thousand would have been enough for a pretty decent place."
"Well… As much I liked Mountain's Door for the jobs, staying there forever wasn't really my plan either." She says. "I should have left earlier, really, but I wasn't sure yet of what I wanted."
"And now, have you made up your mind? What's your dream home like?"
"My dream home? Let's see…" The zebra ponders with a smile. "First, that's not what I'm gonna go for right away. I'm gonna need to furnish some warehouse to live comfortably in with how big you're making me. But once I'm really loaded, I'm gonna have my own manor and stuff! Sky Diamond is near a lake, right? And the house gotta be super big for me to live in and have guests and parties, so I'll need an even bigger garden! And I'm gonna have lots of ponies working for me. Very important. Ponies, like, whoever cooked this." The mare puts a dozen pieces in her mouth at once, as you received your plates while she was talking. "Mmh! This stuff rocks! I want a cook like that to make food for me whenever I feel like it. Or several cooks! That way I'll have even more choices. I also want ponies to wash my clothes for me. And to keep the place clean for me. And gardeners to cut the shrubs and trees in my effigy. To scale, of course! That's gonna be a lot of gardeners." She chuckles. "Yeah, I want lots of ponies to work for me, so I can do work only when I feel like it, and boss some butlers around the rest of the time. Or ever better! I'll have a head-butler whose job would be to boss the other butlers around, so they would do things for me before I even tell them! I heard that's how it works when you get really rich. Premium service and stuff."

You happily get to your own meal a little. You're not the only adventurer with extraordinary goals in mind it seems. Knifepoint didn't sound like she had a real plan towards her extravagant objective yet, and it isn't that well-defined aside from being obnoxiously luxurious either. Which in a way reminds of your own endgame. You're now sure when or where or how yet, but gigantic and beautiful mares it shall be, and you find yourself wishing more and more that Knifepoint would be a part of the who of this plan.

"So, are enjoying our date so far, Knifepoint?" You smile up at her.
"This again?" Knifepoint huffs mockingly. "Yeah, I'm enjoying this day. I'm still not sure why you're making such a fuss about it being a date, though."
"Look, I know you're not looking for any exclusive commitment, and neither am I" You say. "But this day with you still means a lot to me. I like being around you, Knifepoint, I like how openly confident you are yourself and with your body, and I love how mischievous you can be in a very fun way. "Now that would be great." You nod. "And if I can't convince other mares to live with me, sharing the same street where we each have our grandiose mansions would probably be the next best thing."

"Also, a little more seriously." You look up to Knifepoint again. "If you want to get enough coins to move up in the field, you're gonna need more than just doing jobs. You're gonna need to control whole businesses to work for you."
"Yeah, that will come in somewhere down the line." She nods. "Like I said, I very much want to have underlings to work for me. I'm not exactly there yet, though. I gotta get the first investment before that."
"How about taking over the company that did you dirty, then?" You pitch. "Wouldn't it be sweet to get back at those guys? You could even settle their dispute once for all and acquire the whole mining town eventually."

But, yeah, ponies could have been hurt during this job or even die, if that's what you're wondering. And some completely innocent goblins too if you really wanna have a bleeding heart. But come on, Hearty, that's just work for you, and sometimes regular quests for adventurers aren't much better."

Not long after that, you make your way back to the beach to spend the rest of the day there. Burying each other in the sand doesn’t end up being as fun as it sounded, as the feat is laughably easy for Knifepoint, and an impossible herculean task for you. Instead, you decide to try building sandcastles. While neither of you is very apt at building fine or pretty structures, the fact Knifepoint can build one big enough for you to go in encourages you expand on your sand construction.
"It is truly a blessing that we found each other." You tell Knifepoint from atop the mighty walls on which you're sculpting crude battlements. "I hope you're as happy with your size that I am with it. Thanks to it you can build a whole castle for a pony with your bare hooves, and I can enjoy having one built for me. And of course, it also makes every job a lot easier when nopony can push you around, doesn't it?"
"That's a cool new opportunity, yeah." She says. "But don't you start thinking I owe everything to your magic. I could make a lot of coins on my own in the past, and more than height or tits, it's thanks to the experience I have that I won't lose them this time."

However, as you arrive where you remember the door was, you instead find a wall at the end of the corridor. Confused, you walk closer to the wall that looks like the ones at it’s side, instead of something that would have been built recently.
But as you reflexively place a hoof on it, you’re met with the feeling of cool fluid under your frog instead of hard stone, and that part of the wall wobbles slightly, like the surface of a body of water you would have disturbed.
The wall-lookalike also emits a loud, unnatural low thrum after you touched it.

“Who goes there!?” You hear a mare’s voice from behind the immaterial wall, a few seconds later. You’re about sure this is indeed the mare you found yesterday, but she doesn't sound very pleased to receive another visit.

“Hello there!” You do your best to sound polite. “I learned of this place yesterday, as you may recognize my voice from the adventuring party that… ahem, bothered you last time. You hear hoofsteps approach from behind the wall.
“Really now?” you her a voice hiss in front of you. “That alchemist companion of yours looked like she could have gladly poisoned this lot. State your business now or leave at once!”

“W-well, I’m in search of services actually.” You hurriedly say. “You seem to be able to communicate with rats easily enough, and I wished you could use a spell to allow me to speak to them too. I had such an enchantment put on me in the past that allowed me to have a rat companion named Hilda at my side, but it faded away after I was separated from my party for a long time.”

“It was a witch named Ratchel.” You reply.

“Ah, so it is her familiar you were talking about.” There, the wall in front of you suddenly turns transparent, and you see the mare from yesterday behind it, as well as the unhinged metal door on the ground. “Hmm… Well, you’ve made me curious now. How about you follow me upstairs to the shop. You know, where you’re supposed to get in when you visit somepony for services?”
You accept, trying to stay on you toes as you pass through the immaterial wall and follow the mare in her den. After leaving the basket here as she instructs you, the two of you walk towards a door a the end of the corridor that opens on a flight of stairs. Up here, you arrive in a room that looks like the estate of an alchemist of some kind indeed, with vials of liquids with unnatural colors or jars and satchels of reagents stashed on the shelves along some books, candles or contraptions you don’t recognize. On the glass door to the outside, you can make up letters spelling ‘Thornea’s rituals’ on it. There’s also a rather large snake resting on a branch on the counter that eventually catches your attention. The creature is almost motionless, aside from turning their head to follow your movement with their uncannily still gaze.

“And so you’ve met Ratchel.” The mare sits behind the counter, inviting you with a motion of the hoof to go where a customer would stand. “I didn’t expect to hear about her so soon. It hasn’t even been two months since she left.”
“If you don’t mind me asking, who is Ratchel to you?”

“I see. That explains a few things.” Thornea nods to herself, and just watches you in silence for a time, appraising you.
“Alright. I could cast that spell on you again for… let’s say, 100 coins. That is, unless you’ve got anything else to offer. You really are an adventurer, right? Did you happen to come across something precious or unusual maybe? Something a humble alchemist or wizard like myself could use?”

Unless you count a destroyed wizard tower that contained slime creatures, then not yet. How about this? We pay 40 gold now, and down the line in the future, we can cast a spell on her to make her 3 feet taller minimum and help push her body towards the one she desires? She's already seen an example of it from seeing how buxom our companion is. We can't cast it right now due to need the distance to charge the spell, but the next time we come to town, we promise to go to her as soon as possible.

Anon, you aren't new to cyoas. You are VERY well enough accustomed to the idea that other anons have a right to comment on your post and vote against using it in cyoas in general. You experienced this when anons were weirded out by you in the Caravan Guard cyoa, one of Pluto's quests, and even the last big Growfag quest. No, just because you put effort into your posts and follow some arbitrary honor system in which you promise not to respond to other anon posts, it doesn't mean that other anons are forced to follow that honor system and respectfully leave your posts alone. They have the right to express their own opinions, don't they?
I am going to continue to respond to your posts. I won't respond to the ones that are passable enough to not be cringe, I'll sometimes label the part of the post that's is the issue, or I may just say 'not this' if I'm feeling lazy (I didn't even respond some of your posts you received responses to either).
