But then the OP kit kept being weird, for example I was unable to unhide the face bone group.I downgraded all the way to 3.2 because that's what another popen told me they use and suddenly everything was working as expected.There might be a version in-between that works better but honestly it's not like Blender 4 is particularly revolutionary as far as I'm aware, especially since SL work only uses relatively basic modelling, rigging and animation and a lot of Blender development has been in rendering, compositing, editing and things like that. If you're an extreme power user maybe there's better modelling workflows using niche features, but in general Blender 3 is completely fine.

I got so used to it that I keep running into stuff that suddenly "isn't there anymore" when I temporarily use v3 or have to wrangle bugs that got ironed out in the newer versions. Then of course you also can't "just" open v5 files in v3 so every time you wanna do something like that you first gotta go through some export shenanigans. Overall jumping between versions that far apart is just a really unpleasant experience.
