Anyone know why season 7 was just randomly so fucking good? It's like they were slowly declining after season 2 and then out of nowhere they went all out for 7, and then after that just gave up on 8 and 9. How does that happen? Does it have something to do with the movie? Or were they just from the beginning saving up a lot of good future episode ideas they wanted to do at the latter ends of everypony's arcs but they realised they only had enough for one season's worth?

>>42947212cuz Haber was only partially in charge of it. I wouldn't say it's super amazing—I wouldn't rank it above any of the McCarthy seasons, especially not 5—but it was certainly more consistent than 6 and never got quite as bad.
