What season of MLP:FIM did you stop at? For me it was season 7 because it was shit and didn't fare well for the future ones I skipped.

I stopped a little after Season 5 resumed, not so much out of dislike for the show but more out of lots of change happening in my life and other shiny new things jingling in front of my face. If I could go back, I'd probably finish that season but then call it quits there, since I actually enjoyed it all the way through. 6&7 were rocky when I first got to them last year, but not without their high points. Now I'm up to 8 and it genuinely feels like an outright different show. Very happy I did not have to suffer through this when I was younger and broke from the show on good terms. Episodes range from "decent-ish but does not feel like pony at all" to "She would not say that, neither of them would do that, that is literally the opposite of what would happen, wtf"

The worst part is going between frustration of plot being stupid, characters not being properly portrayed and worst of all, boring episodes.

>>43002584Back in the day I stopped a few episodes into Season 7 (I think Parental Glideance was the last one I watched). After returning I did go past that point and I technically didn't really stop yet, but the gaps between me watching episodes have been getting exponentially bigger since I got to Season 9 (which I reached late 2024).

I'm still watching the show for the first time right now! My progress is slow but I'm on season five right now, I'm aware the best is behind me but I'm trying to enjoy episodes regardless.
