It's a crime what they did to Luna, she's the most interesting character in the show by far and she basically never gets resolved. She has a genuine reason for hating Celestia and wanting to change Equestria. Her arc should have been the focus of the entire first seasonDiscord is just a generic omnipotent "chaos" villain that absolutely wrecks the show's universe and consistency. Introducing an omnipotent being never ends well for storiesChrysalis is a great villain with a good gimmick which is gathering love from ponies but I wish they showed her motivations more. Her reveal was great

I appreciate a kick-in-the-door brute that's much wiser than every other villain around him, including Discord who everyone headcanoned as some master manipulator in s2, but was really a cocky inattentive fool. Tirek's reasonable nature and past with his family made more sense for him to come around to the side of friendship, than the lone tyrant of chaos that only ever knew how to make life for ponies a living hell.

>>43006341Even though Cozy Glow is the best because she is cute and funny, there is something so intriguing about Nightmare Moon. Because she isn't just a villain who wants to kill everypony like most other villains, but she generally means ponies no harm, and just wants to become their ruler to finally get the same recognition as her sister. I always thought she didn't want to kill the Mane 6 in the first episodes because she also considers them her subjects and she doesn't want to kill her subjects; instead she makes up all these challenges to try hold off the Mane 6 and separate them, or make them give up on trying to find the EoH of Harmony. We deserved more of NMM.

He saw the logic in working together (before Chrysalis ree'ed and ruined the moment). He advises against fucking with Windigos for long. Sure he prefers brute force as it's his gift, but he's not your stereotypical Hulk Smash.
