Just watched the latest episode, dbz + su parts were a strong 6.5/10 Great jokes by disappointing payoff to a year long hyped up tournament. The reincarnation plot also reconned/ruined so many previous episodes I don't care anymore. But with how much the mare episodes have been dropping in views I wouldn't be surprised if tamers realized giving unpopular and unknown characters like starlight, mary, flawless and fractured so much screentime was a mistake. And is trying to soft reboot the mare timeline with neo-twilight and neo-trixie.At the very least when compared to Real Housewives of Ponyville, it proves to me stallion tamers is the stronger writer honestly, and his creativity spark was maybe even relit by taking a break from mlp by working on dandy's world. The OCs are the biggest tellers here. Mare Tamers OCs flawless and fractured, Mary constantly have to job because they're all in the "cute autistic girl who can't win" formula. My main issue issue with the stallion timeline was that over time more and more stupid ocs were added that eventually replaced the mane 6 and now the same mistake is happening with the mare timeline aswell.The reincarnation shit is already a gut punch that really cripples twixie but can be tolerated. But having more of the mane 6 be replaced again for characters that are so obscure that most people think are OCs really kill my enjoyment for these episodes. It really seems like the mare timeline suffered the most from these retcons. Remember the grown up cutie mark crusaders? The connection between Trixie and Luna? The Applejack and Rarity pairing? These issues all stem from mare tamers jealousy towards stallion tamers.Tamers already survived two channel terminations but the new reliance on patreon and subsequent youtube views is really going to be what will kill the channel in the end. Blowing up really did hurt him after all but maybe it's too early to doom about that and mare tamers is just in a "shit writing" era like in the early episodes when the stallion plotlines were by far the and in their bitchin' era
