We do everything from recreational trips, to mapping, to biological monitoring and other aspects of conservation. I have not met a caver that I couldn't trust my life with. We've got over 8,000 caves documented in my state now, with a little over 4,000 of them having been mapped in one way or another (many need updates though). We worked on two maps this weekend, although there were many other teams working on other objectives. Picrel is a section of map that I sketched alongside the Luna charm that I carry on my clipboard while we survey!The best part was being able to meet back up with a fellow horsefucker and hang out unnaground again! Although the trip on Saturday had a few hiccups relating to my vehicle, some white-out, and a helmet, it went very well overall. I even got to see some baps!

I started the plan for a short Luna focused fic but haven't done any more work on it since despite saying I was going to keep at it. I also said I was going to interact more on here but I failed at that too. This keeps happening, where I set a target and just abandon it a few days after. Try and make sure that these things start small and are achievable, and are cumulative. The kind of small steps that help build you to become some kind of person. Have it be something you can start right now, so you can't give yourself an excuse to delay it, and accept right now that it'll be uncomfortable, and try and find virtue in that discomfort. That that discomfort is growth. Try and make it easy to do, this is the issue with perfectionism, it makes it hard to actually do anything when you make it hard to do anything for the sake of it not being up to an unreasonably high standard. But also like, know your vices? If you quickly become disinterested can you simply not maintain focus? Is that basic concept hard for you to do? It's a common internet poison. A meditative technique is to take like, 5-15 minutes, and just focus on some object. Set a timer and just focus on some single object in your room. It's surprisingly hard if you're not practiced. But I'm rambling. If you fail at it, don't beat yourself up over it. Tomorrow's another day. I struggle with this stuff too, sometimes I waste a week or two for no good reason. But I am making progress, and I think it's important that I tell myself that.
