Though it's not written necessarily bad in a technical way, there's something about the characterisation and dialogue that makes it incredibly clunky to me. These snobby high school girls would never talk like this, let alone humans. There's weird stuff such as Sugarcoat telling Indigo she had a teddy bear, and then a moment later, when she brings it up again, Indigo is shocked at the revelation and goes into a seizure. Huh?>Sugarcoat is only nineteen years oldWhat the fuck. What a hag.If this wasn't published back in 2017, I would've thought it was AI written. It seems like it was written for writing's sake with the author praying that something interesting would magically happen by itself, there's hardly anything about the plot worth mentioning. And as an incomplete and presumably abandoned fic, I can only console myself that these shadowbolts were changelings trying their best to come up with humanish histories for a more compelling disguise.
