It's ok to stop bruteforcing work on a specific image after a while, just store the sketch/idea somewhere to redraw it later when you're better prepared for the task. After a few sketches or illustrations, reflect on what you're pleased with, and what's the single biggest flaw you'd like to improve on; then you'll be able to grow even without constant feedback from others. >>43104160you have to grind through some off looking ponies first to get the basics right, print out some ponies and try to redraw them to the best of your ability and analyse your mistakes in each oneyou should post them on bale so we can take a look and help you outsooner or later you'll start practicing construction and breaking them down into smaller shapes but at first just draw as many ponies as you can freely to get the feel for all the angles and quirks, some things like the legs and hair shapes are hard at first but will come to you naturally as you draw more and more

I've been drawing for years now and every so often, I used the same guides that helped me when I just started.
