Did another A-Z while there was no thread up. This time Kingdom of Wittenland.

I decided to try getting Voliare route as I already played the normal harmonist and supremacist ones, and I saw a bunch of Wulfric already. In the end, I puppetted most of southern Griffonia, Romou and most of the north. The nation is a lot bigger then it looks. I did stay in the Coalition as well.

Pros:
>A cool magic system, letting you give yourself buffs and debuffs to your enemy as well as giving you dragons and ursas.
>Cool story stuff. Very flavorful nation.
>Some fun potential wars.

Cons:
>While still fun, some other paths do offer better action.
>The way expansion works is through decisions where you get wargoals on supremacist nations bordering you, which can be limiting if you like conquest.
>Voliare just leaving the story felt a bit anticlimactic to his character.

Overall, probably the best nation in the Riverlands. Very fun and flavorful, though I can't help but think this path might be among the worst of it. Not bad, but I was wishing that I played another one. If you want to play this nation, I'd suggest going Honoria as I think she's the most fun.

Next up would be Kingdom of Yakyakistan.

Yeah, the Nazi German army, as opposed to the "Deutsches Heer" (the Imperial German army) or the "Bundeswehr" (the modern day German army).
The Changeling Lands aren't literally the Nazis and Chrysalis isn't literally Hitler in the same way that Stalliongrad isn't literally the USSR and Wheatin isn't literally Stalin. The Changeling Lands have the same role as basegame Germany, while even Stalliongrad is reduced to the role of a support tag that shows up halfway through the war with a hundred factories instead of being a front in its own right. There are still edgy Mexicans simping for Nazi Germany and the Changeling Lands.

You are a literal retarded normalfag. Who knows nothing between history. There is a difference between the Nazi Party, the SS, and the Wehrmacht. Because the entire Germany was deeply factionalistic.

Infighting isn't something that only affects commie retards.

The River Federation once did something like this in one of my games. The Griffonian Republic left the south alone and somehow elected Guildedwing. Barrad was somehow guaranteed by the Minotaurs, so when the River Federation declared war on Barrad, it resulted in a massive war. When the River Federation eventually won, they puppeted the south, which somehow lowered world tension to zero.

It's RNG but supposedly the odds increase depending on your ideology, the ideology of everyone else in the faction, and your relations with them. Puppets used to be auto-annexed by the event but they no longer get added to the River Coalition.
I was playing Diamond Mountain at the time so getting the full federation was pretty hopeless, even after I did the harmonist coup and improved relations.
It's honestly not an interesting region. Hellquill for some reason never even attacked and Barrad died to Kasa.

It works in vanilla where you know where things kick off, but in EAW most of the conflicts start already in 1007 or 1008. So you are better off being factories and actually prepare. Most of the focus trees also already give quite a lot of infrastructure.

The Equestrian Century.
Equestria has reasserted itself as the continental hegemon, with massive amounts of infrastructure, industry, technology, and equipment. A cold war is beginning between it and Stalliongrad that will eventually end with Stalliongrad rejoining Equestria.
Griffonia only has four countries: The Griffonian Republic spanning most of the continent, the River Federation ruling the east of the continent, the Arcturian Order watching over the frozen northeast, and New Mareland where it was. All of these countries are industrialised and have lots of infrastructure and good relations with each other.
Zebrica is dominated by Aris and Kiria.
>>
>>43115742
>A cold war is beginning between it and Stalliongrad
Stalliongrad would already be part of Equestria for such setting to exist. Equestrian Century would be Equestria already standing as a dominant power, because everyone who could oppose harmony was already destroyed.
>>
>>43115903
I thought that it meant Equestria beating the Changelings and reasserting itself as the continental hegemon. Stalliongrad is powerful (with its large population and lots of factories), but Equestria would still be the continental hegemon. Wheatin is also less hostile to Equestria than Serov is.
>>
>>43116024
I always imagined Equestrian century as total harmonic victory over all threats. What you describe I always imagined, at least personally, as Interventionist Equestria Intra Twilight Worldwide Harmony.

Did another A-Z game. This time Kingdom of Yakyakistan.

I went harmonist for this one, got a civil war victory and managed to conquer bits of land next to me. Unfortunately, as Equestria won, and I got no wargoal on Nova Griffonia, and since they are in an endless war against Stalliongrad, who was the only one I could justify on, I decided to end it there. I pretty much got all the story-related parts of the focus tree done anyway and there were no other wargoals from it.

Pros:
>Fun civil war.
>Some nice story bits.

Cons:
>The civil war buildup phase with the clans is a bit too easy. If you remotely know what you are doing (this was my first time playing), Jackistan will never get any other clan on their side.
>Nothing much to do after winning.

Overall, while not horrible, and possibly better if you buff up the changelings to win the Great War, I am disappointed with Yakyakistan. Jackistan seems like a better-made nation overall. As a result, Yakyakistan, despite being the more "canon" nation, I feel like your better off not playing them because the better yaks are right next to them, though this might change based off what path you chose.
>>
>>43117375
You don't get any wargoals because you ended up buying the land from Nova Griffonia.
The clans mechanic is relatively easy for a human player if you know what you're doing, but still, the main clan that you have to worry about as a human player is the Juyilkhai clan. If they end up leaving, then it ends up eating equipment and manpower for the entire civil war.
>>

Each leader used to get two focuses (and therefore national spirits) at the end. Now they only get one. Also there's a Herzland minigame to give the south and the frontier more time to prepare.
>>
>>43119636
I dont think it matters if a leader gets two or just one focus here. Considering by this point you will have all of the continent under your banner and the game is essentially over.
>Also there's a Herzland minigame to give the south and the frontier more time to prepare.
Minigames are bad. Should just lock it behind a specific year.
Which would be a good idea to give others more time to prepare. Because it is incredibly easy to stop anything to the south if you just rush them.
This should also apply to the Empire. Just lock the southern expansion behind a speciffic year.
Or behind finishing an ecnomic tree. Because you can just stomp the entire continent without ever touching that one. Both Republican and Imperial economic trees are really bad. They should be buffed to actually make them worthwhile to do instead of just rushing conquest.
>>
>>43119644
>I dont think it matters if a leader gets two or just one focus here. Considering by this point you will have all of the continent under your banner and the game is essentially over.
So why nerf it? The developers hate the Griffonian Republic because unlike the various tiny shitholes of Griffonia, it's a big industrialisd democratic country that gets lots of guilt-free warmongering. Equestria is all about playing defensively, while Kiria is all about development.
>Or behind finishing an economic tree.
This is actually a better idea than what the developers did. As it is, you can just rush through the political tree and "haha infrastructure and industry go brrrrr" your way to conquering most of the continent and leave modernising the economy and military to later, even if it is still a constant uphill battle. It would still be a nerf that would allow the rest of the continent more time to prepare.
>>
>>43119650
>So why nerf it? The developers hate the Griffonian Republic because unlike the various tiny shitholes of Griffonia, it's a big industrialisd democratic country that gets lots of guilt-free warmongering.
I think you have a brainrot. It is hardly a nerf to have one less focus in a late game content. I would be crying if they actually and unironically do something like Pax Chrysalia.
That is what I call nerf.
>>
>>43119651
>I think you have a brainrot. It is hardly a nerf to have one less focus in a late game content.
It is a nerf. A small nerf, but a nerf nonetheless. They could have just left the code as it was.
Imagine if they did something like Pax Chrysalia for Sunglider specifically, or even had the republic balkanise worse than the actual balkans next to them.

>>
>>43119728
Yea, that is how it should be. The endgame sirits and events serve as an epilogue to give you a closure to the story. You've already won. They are not supposed to be some big game changer.
>>

Which is why making them one each instead of two each affects the epilogue and the writing. For example, Sunglider is a militaristic republican (as in not a monarchist), so he both improves the ordinary citizens' standard of living (every griffon an emperor) and wants to prevent another counter-revolution (remembering the enemy). Making it either-or changes it to a choice between him being militaristic or a republican. It's just flavour at the end of the game, so there was no reason to change it.
>>
>>43119794
You are fucking stupid. Remrmber the enemy would just be him using propaganda and fearmongering of possoble counterrevolution to keep himself in power. Everygriff an Emperor is him actually trying to improve standards of living to improve everyone's life.
It has nothing to do with militarism.
Plus, Sunglider was never a militarist republican. Militarist Republican is Kemerskai Junior.
The bigger issue here, if you weren't stupid to realise this, is how they are very clearly making Sunglider into Huey Long Dong expy, who is famous for being populist dictator.

You dumb retard. Ignoring the fact that Sunglider had spent the entire game cleaning up the republic, he isn't the only one that is affected by the tiny nerf at the end. All of the endgame leaders used to get two focuses each, but now they only get one.
Also, my main point isn't about this tiny flavour nerf at the end of the game, but about the fact that the developers are adding a retarded TNO-style minigame to slow down the republic instead of even something more logical such as your idea of requiring the economy and other trees to be finished before getting the wargoals on the south and the frontier.

FIrst show the rest of the focus tree, if it was teased. And also show the actual minigame. If you want to call it a nerf. I have already told you, that giving time to rest of the continent to prepare is a good thing right here >>43119644
because it is incredibly easy for Empire and Republic to rush and steam roll the south. Instead of going boohoo. Also you can very clearly see that lot of these focuses in the epiologue content are shared among leaders. So they do in fact get TWO focuses, you absolute and utter buffoon. I am now absolutelly, conviced you are some 80 IQ zoomer retard.

>How can it be nerf if it is literally an endgame epilogue content?
Because it changes the writing. It's also completely unnecessary because it's a complete nation that's an uphill battle. It isn't like how Equestria is complete but outdated.
>FIrst show the rest of the focus tree, if it was teased.
They're only teasing basically the existing parts of the content.
>And also show the actual minigame.
Picrel.
>I have already told you, that giving time to rest of the continent to prepare is a good thing right here
And I said that your idea is logical, while their TNO-style minigame is retarded.
>Also you can very clearly see that lot of these focuses in the epilogue content are shared among leaders.
It used to be two for each with each leader sharing a focus with a different one, but if you look closely, they changed it so that the end focus is only available for the leader directly above it. Retard.

From what I see in the teaser, it literally changes nothing. The only change is adding Di Karthin and Gaspwingi as possible leaders. And making Sunglider more populistic and Kingfeather more capitalistic (bad choices).
Everything else is how they are portrayed right now as well.

These are the same people that are using obvious meaningless AIslop waffle for their rework of the mod's flagship country. Zongo (the most recent tag) is almost entirely driven by the decisions menu rather than the focus tree and manual construction. I don't even play this tag that much, but the retarded nu-devs are so obsessed with tiny dysfunctional shitholes that the big normal democracy ends up being the best choice for the continent after you finish the uphill wars.
>From what I see in the teaser, it literally changes nothing.
Cope, retard.
>The only change is adding Di Karthin and Gaspwingi as possible leaders.
No, they're changing it to one of each. They should be adding more, to be honest, since it's a democratic tag that spans most of the continent.
>And making Sunglider more populistic and Kingfeather more capitalistic (bad choices).
The end focus options are shared between leaders. For example, Sunglider shares his left epilogue focus with Guildedwing and his right epilogue focus with Verany.
>Everything else is how they are portrayed right now as well.
No it isn't.

Just started getting into HOI4 cause of this mod, pretty fun so far but is it normal for it to start freezing every hour that passes? I imagine it's some CPU related shit but I've got a 7800X3D so not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the game is just like this.
>>
>>43121325
>7800X3D
HOI4 is old, so the code is heavily reliant on a single thread, so even a high-end multi-core CPU won't be used to its full capabilities. Still, it shouldn't be that bad because this mod's code is relatively well-optimised.

I have still not seen any evidence of this. Shitty writing =/= AI sloppa. EAW writing was always on the level of a teen fanfiction.
>retarded nu-devs are so obsessed with tiny dysfunctional shitholes that the big normal democracy ends up being the best choice for the continent
Not a new thing at all. EAW was always obsession over nation building ever since Griffonia was first released.
>big normal democracy ends up being the best choice for the continent after you finish the uphill wars.
This should literally make you happy, considering that is literally the Griffonian Republic, you dumb zigger.
>Sunglider shares his left epilogue focus with Guildedwing and his right epilogue focus with Verany.
No, the left and right are only Genevive and Verany, as you can see from the full lines. Sunglider has the six focuses in the middle, and his left is shared with Genevive and his right is shared with Verany.
>from crying and seething about the WW2 map game mod being more about industry than the fantasy setting that the mod is set in
Yes, devs obsess too much about modern industrial liberal society at the expense of the magical and mago-technological part of the setting.
>cleaning up and the guilt-free warmongering democracy
"Why yes, it is alright to kill people in the name of democracy."
No such thing. But thank you for clarifying that the Republic is indeed evil. By your very deffinition both Suntail and NRP are evil, because they kill millions to conquer the entire continent in the name of the democracy.

Crap human writers will usually have some point that they are trying to get across even if they do ramble, while AI slop just spews out meaningless words. AI models also have a particular writing style that is noticable if you mess about with AI.
>Not a new thing at all. EAW was always obsession over nation building ever since Griffonia was first released.
Nation building implies that you will end up with a country that isn't dysfunctional at the end, while the tiny shitholes in this mod continue to be tiny shitholes even at the end of the game.
>This should literally make you happy, considering that is literally the Griffonian Republic
My point is that the Griffonian Republic is the best choice for the continent because the rest of the continent is so crap.

Huh?
>No, the left and right are only Genevive and Verany, as you can see from the full lines. Sunglider has the six focuses in the middle, and his left is shared with Genevive and his right is shared with Verany.
Guildedwing gets "open up the political system" and "every griffon an emperor", Verany gets "land distribution" and "remembering the enemy", and Sunglider gets "every griffon an emperor" and "remembering the enemy".
>Yes, devs obsess too much about modern industrial liberal society at the expense of the magical and mago-technological part of the setting.
Liberals side with finance instead of industry. Even the writers of MLP are liberals.
>>cleaning up and the guilt-free warmongering democracy
>"Why yes, it is alright to kill people in the name of democracy."
Yes, because it's a fictional setting, with non-human characters, and griffons are a fictional race that are a proud warrior race, so obviously they are going to unite in a different way to the wholesome 100 ponies. If I wanted to play an evil warmongering nation, then I would happily play the Griffonian Empire, Changeling Lands, Daybreaker, Nightmare Moon, etc.
>No such thing. But thank you for clarifying that the Republic is indeed evil. By your very deffinition both Suntail and NRP are evil, because they kill millions to conquer the entire continent in the name of the democracy.

The fact that you have ignored my point about fanfiction just shows how much of an underage retard you are. EAW writing is literally fanfiction tier.
>Nation building implies that you will end up with a country that isn't dysfunctional at the end, while the tiny shitholes in this mod continue to be tiny shitholes even at the end of the game.
Every single nation in this mod resolves its starting issues by the end of the game. None of them remains "dysfunctional shithole" as you have put it. Furthermore, calling everything that isnt fully industrial society is a sign of liberal mindset which tries to enforce the same modern industrial capitalist democracy on everyone, with all its flaws, calls it progress and then is surprised when people are unhappy and depressed.
>Guildedwing gets "open up the political system" and "every griffon an emperor", Verany gets "land distribution" and "remembering the enemy", and Sunglider gets "every griffon an emperor" and "remembering the enemy".

Fanfiction-tier writing still involves a human making a point and trying to get it across even if they ramble while doing so. AIslop writing is completely meaningless.
>Every single nation in this mod resolves its starting issues by the end of the game. None of them remains "dysfunctional shithole" as you have put it.
Not all of them. The powerful major countries fix their starting issues, but the various minor nations continue to be dysfunctional shitholes.
>Furthermore, calling everything that isnt fully industrial society is a sign of liberal mindset
Liberals serve (((finance))), retard. They want everything to be smaller, weaker, etc. because finance is parasitic.
>which tries to enforce the same modern industrial capitalist democracy on everyone
Every system other than liberalism and fascism made industry a priority. Even the commies did. Liberals and fascists serve finance, so they deindustrialise.

People are unhappy and depressed because finance has spent decades looting everyone else.

>>No, the left and right are only Genevive and Verany
>There is virtually no difference between finance and industry; they are both interconnected.
No, there is a massive difference and their interests are hostile to each other. When finance is suppressed, industry ends up growing. When finance is encouraged, industry shuts down.
>"Killing millions is fine because it is nonhumans."
Correct. There's also the fact that it isn't just being done for the lols or for map-painting, but to end the constant infighting and duplication of efforts by the leaders of these tiny countries.
>That just shows how much of a shit person you are, completely lacking empathy.

Yeah, if you manually justify. It's like saying that basegame's Tannu Tuva is relevant because you can do a world conquest with it.

Yeah, the military industrial complex. Civilian industry, meanwhile, was destroyed and moved abroad.

Yes. The same thing happened in Nazi Germany. The Nazi economy was a basket case.

"A global modernised power" is certainly a weird way to put it. Also not all tags can fully modernise. Some tags are completely incapable of fully developing without manually justifying on and conquering some other tag and then changing the development level in the overview menu.

>I like Soalrist and other radical paths, and I still realise how much suffering lot of the paths would incur.
A lot of suffering happens in almost every country's route, including a harmonist Equestria that never takes any of the "evil" options. Even Zongo has lots of events about how their industrialisation is coming at a cost, even ignoring the war-related ones.
>If you can't understand how Republican wars would do the same then you are a soulless hylic.
I just realised that you misunderstood what I meant when I was referring to Suntail as the short "kill everyone" dictator tree. My issue isn't with him killing people, but with the fact that because he doesn't put in the work of creating a functional state. The main focus tree is all about cleaning up, building popular support, preparing for war, and then warmongering, so that once the dust settles, there is a functional government that can sit at the desks and get on with the task of governing the country. If Sunglider messes up and gets voted out, then the government is at no risk of collapse. Meanwhile, Suntail just goes for mass violence immediately without any real preparation, so the entire thing risks falling apart as soon as he dies.
>Empress Mother is the best. Because Mother knows the best.

Wrong. You're just coping.
>>43122515
Industry is how you develop a country away from being a shithole. Every country with even a semi-competent government either industrialises or wants to industrialise. The western democracies industrialised, the USSR made industrialisation a priority, China had the long-term goal right from the start of eventually industrialising, and even random countries like Iran and Burkina Faso are industrialising faster. India has designated shitting streets not because of some genetic inferiority, but because their government didn't start building sewers until 2014 because they focus on finance instead of industry.
Democracy describes a wide range of systems with various different ideologies, cultures, religions, and so on. Liberalism is a very narrow ideology that just serves (((finance))).
Your entire worldview is just LOTR, which was written by a seething aristocrat.

You have said "Yes. The same thing happened in Nazi Germany. They came to power in an already industrialised republic, shifted the civilian industry towards arms manufacturing". This implies that Weimar had any actual industry to shift and wasnt crippled by the post war treaty of Versails which did stipulate that they cannot build any military industry.

Yeah, it crippled its military and its weapons industry, not civilian industry. The Germans decided to sperg out instead of being a normal country like everyone else.

I did another A-Z game. This time Kingdom of Zongo.

I did the king route. Not sure how things would have changed if I got the queen's side high enough by the end, but essentially it was non-aligned. Kiria, that other kirin state and the big island are my puppets and the centaur and gargoyles are my allies. The first war against Lan Kir was pretty hard, with the Lan Kir divisions getting huge nirik buggs and the north uniting into the Red Horde and attacking me at the same time. I barely held out with my railway gun and help from volunteers. The rest of the wars were pretty easy. I think Kiria needs a buff, at least in the late game as I kind of rolled over them.

Pros:
>Really nice story, even getting new railways shows how life changed there as a result, without getting too much in the way of gameplay.
>The war with Lan Kir and Red Horde was really fun and challenging.
>The railway system was a really fun mechanic, which greatly updates the industry in exchange for all the nerfs, while not being annoying or confusing.

Cons:
>After beating Lan Kir, there was a lack of challenging enemies to fight. As I said, Kiria really needs a buff, or maybe have the southern jungle nations unite or ally to get stronger.
>Seems to lack path variety.

Overall, I am very positive about Zongo. The story was nice and so was the gameplay. The train minigame was well-made, and I had fun with it. I just wish it had a proper late game enemy to fight, I would highly recommend this nation. It is very good.

Next up would be Kása Free State.

I thought that Kiria was meant to be the late game enemy.

The queen mother is pretty much the same until the 11th hour, where the game punishes you for taking the easy way out and not spending political power. They're not separate routes, more like separate epilogues that only diverge after the Kiria war.

I still liked Zongo, and I've liked the mother's character. She could be so stereotypical and boring if she had Ayana killed, but they go in the whole other direction, and I've really liked it.

It's shit. It doesn't even add any new content other than a TNO-style minigame, a few events, and a few changes to the national spirits. I set the Herzland paths, Emprie to pick Gabriella, Strawberry, Katerin and Dogs to go commie, Romau go archonate, Marchen to go fascist, and Angriver to go Baron. And naturally Grover for Yale.

She doesnt look too out of place here, does she?

I am going to be pushing a small update tonight, but I have bad news for why I havent been updating the mod. Basically, towards the middle of febuary my PC shat the bed, I then had too order a new one that had bad RAM so I was forced to send it back and wait for it to be returned again. Since then I lost a lot of the passion I had to keep going with the mod becuase I had to take such a long break. Thankfully, I kinda got that back tonight as I finally got the portraits I commissioned for Blackstone, Bowstring and Fiana done! The portraits are all done by the amazing Sparkytopia who perfectly captured the gen 3 aesthetic I was going for.

I did notice that in the live version of the mod, one of the key focuses where broken so tonight I will be pushing a hot patch to fix it, as well as adding in all the new portraits.

Seeing this years april fools I really, really wish I would have gotten the daybreaker path done by now, but as it stands, its only about 20% done... I am sorry.

If you wish to playtest the mod, the harmonic historical (Equestria Alligned) path is done-ish. I do plan on making it much more grand whenever Equestria gets its rework.

Also, I hate the fact that Chiropterra is the direct cause of this entire mess, but it just gets annexed instead of letting you genocide it.

I remember seeing a dev saying it was preety much done, and the last time they gave out a prerelease version to youtubers we got the update soon after.
If I had to guess, we might get the update once they remove the april fools stuff.

My question is why is Ugabi not in the update, when it is supposedly finished for a long time. I want to play as the Emperor of Zebradom.
>>
>>43153407
Ugabi is finished? I've asked the devs if there are any finished countries they're not releasing, and they've only named Barrad
>>
>>43153526
According to my source, it has been finished for a while

>>43159177
I wish that there was a fanfic of the Arcturian Order. Making over 1,000 years of development and stomping both the Dread League and the Windigos in 20 years is interesting. Celestia and Luna could also show up on a state visit or whatever and find it a mixture of nostalgia and modernity.

>>43159198
Yea, there is a lot of potential for fanfic set in the north. I would tie in the Northern Tribes, Watertowns, Firtree, Farbrook and Changelings too.
>>
>>43159781
>Northern Tribes, Watertowns
The problem with these two is that they have barely any content, so they just exist to be annexed by someone else.
>Firtree
This has a lot of potential, from the historical route of rapid industrialisation without magic due to the danger of the Dread League, to the various other routes.
>Farbrook
This has some potential. Cenhelm getting rid of the fascists and commies and gradually developing the country and his relationship with Gytha have potential. Other than the weird Bob Ross route, the other routes also have some potential.
>Changelings
Greneclyf has the most potential of these minor countries because it's all about diplomacy as they start trading with the Riverlands and Equestria. Equestria already had to fight off a Changeling invasion a few years ago and they are now preparing to defend against an even bigger war from the Changelings. Meanwhile, this tiny Changeling island wants to trade with them, so there is a genuine reason to be suspicious of them.

>>
It turns out that I was mostly right about the Griffonian Republic rework and Twilightfag was mostly wrong. I didn't expect it to be this shit or to have such shit coding.
Instead of the epilogue focus requirements being something like "("Open up our political system" AND "Every Griffon an emperor!") OR ("Every Griffon an emperor!" AND "Remembering the enemy")" and so on, they instead made it any one of the left policies and any one of the right policies because they're retards. It probably wasn't even a nerf to Sunglider specifically, just lazy coding.

Pretty fun play through. Is there any path that's bleaker for the empire? I.e. a path that still inherits the mantle of the empire without destroying it completely. Dread league, for instance, would not count. Grover IV's supremacist portrait is pretty kino with the black imperial flag compared to the normal one that's yellow and orange.

One of the events shown in the teasers is a load of meaningless waffle that was clearly written by ChatGPT. Human writers can waffle, but there is usually some point that they are trying to get across. AI just spews meaningless words.

No, it isn't muh dashes. ChatGPT has a certain writing style, and the teased events were written in the same style.

Did another A-Z run, this time Kása Free State.

Went with the poet lady in this one, conquered what I could. Unfortunately, the River Coalition wants to kill me at this point. I may be able to win if I retreat to defensible positions. The problem is that I cannot reload this save due to the mod updating since my last save of this run, meaning I can't continue it. I got through most of the focus tree anyway.

Pros:
>Cool lore.
>Nice war potential.
>Interesting mechanic where you get population based on how many other nations go supremacist.

Cons:
>A lot of your expansion, and fun, is dependent on what paths your neighbors go.
>Feels like this should be a zebra nation rather then a pony one.

Not a bad nation overall. You start small, and you have similarly small enemies to fight at the start, before it pits you against larger foes. One small critique I have is that the nation is clearly ran by zebras, has a big zebra population, yet is somehow considered a pony nation. I feel like there's a missed opportunity here, putting a zebra nation in Griffonia and potentially fighting knights with chargers. Other then that, it's a simple but potentially fun country to play as.

Next up would be Lake City.
>>
>>43165629
>Next up would be Lake City.
ooooh. I want to hear about that.
>>
Is there any point in deliberately failing the Griffonian Republic's reconstruction TNOslop minigame if you don't want to play as a monarchy? I don't want to bother with another Griffonian Republic playthrough just to get a "you suck, reload and try again" failstate.

The code implementation was retarded. They should actually have had much more leader options from all of the conquered countries.

“After the Storm” 2.6
The Storm King, the Founder of the Storm Kingdom, the Uniter of Yetikind, the Conqueror of Zebrica, is dead.

Now vultures fight over what remains. Four ambitious yeti warlords have claimed the Horned Crown and are locked in a deadly struggle to seize the Storm King's inheritance for themselves. Ibyz Icepaw is one of these yetis, a Field Marshal experienced in both war and running an occupation from her work in the Zwahile. Having suddenly come out of retirement to throw her might into the ring and save the Rainband from greedy kleptocrats and madyetis. Seeking to build a kingdom her kind deserves and prove to the rest of the continent there is more to yetis then just mad conquest. It's up to Ibyz to see if she can fulfil her promises, especially as the more she focuses on achieving her goals the more the zebras of the Zwahile expect their overlord to not forget their compliance doesn't come for free.

In the ruins of their fallen Queendom, the hyenas gather under the guidance of Fahamka, the Great Teacher of the Qaylidi. Having carefully waited and watched ever since their homeland burned under the Storm King's advance, they ready themselves to strike and finally reclaim what is theirs. Their past was one of oppression and cruelty, their present is one of enslavement and struggle, but the future will be theirs to shape. And to the Qaylidi Dervishes, that is all that matters.
Far to the north, the war drums echo. After the Storm King destroyed the Imperial Mazwi, the Great Lakes are much like a burned down forest. Green sprouts are breaking through the ashes, growing quickly to seize the new opportunities. The Kingdom of Zar-Hay is one such sprout. Their royal family is missing, but an ambitious regent has taken the reins of leadership and has a plan to ensure his homeland will never be enslaved ever again. A plan that is meant to turn Zar-Hay into a mighty nation, strong enough to withstand any invader. A plan to create another empire to replace the Mazwi. After all, what was once divided, must unite.

Chiropterra is not ambitious enough for my liking. You'd think a country founded on the principal of plunging the world into eternal darkness would have more going on than conquering another chunk of land
>>
>>43167048
In real life, ISIS carried out terrorist attacks in other countries and tried to conquer the region and were defeated, but the leadership were evacuated and the terrorists were imprisoned, then a few years later, the leadership returned and the terrorists were broken out of prison, eventually conquering Syria.
In the mod, Chiropterra carries out a terrorist attack if you go down Luna's route, and it tries to conquer the region either way. If any country other than Aris defeats them, then they are spat out and eventually attack the region again.

Storm Kingdom was pretty fun, can't wait to see what they do with the other successors. Icepaw was the one I was the least interested in but she's still great. The civil war is all right but everything after that is a curb stomp. I was expecting the Hyenas to put up more of a fight but even using pure infantry spam they were a breeze. I didn't really read through a lot of the events but what I did read through was nice. There's a melancholic bleakness I feel reading about the Zebra's learning to find their place in a resurgent storm kingdom. I didn't actually finish the focus tree as of posting but I'm pretty sure this is all there is in terms of expansion. I might finish it later but for now I'm going to bed.

This tank template worked out pretty well for me. It absolutely disintegrated any resistance and I was able to get well over a 100:1 KDR ratio in certain wars with it. The Kareni Management Solution's plant is absolutely busted when you use it for producing tanks. I was able to shit out 30 divisions of these by 1013 and it probably could have been a lot more if I had focused on it.

Griffonia is filled with unifiers, both regional (Aquelia, Prywhen, Wingbardy, etc.) and larger (the Griffonian Republic and the River Federation). However, Zebrica is a different continent, so it should have a different gimmick.
