How would you all feel about someone reading Chapter 9 onward of M#7, without the cool editing and substantially worse voice acting and audio quality? Blackjack is a KINO character. Littlepip is just your typical boring protagonist. Littlepip has never had moments as wild and crazy as BJ's. Blackjack is ten times more entertaining. You never know what that crazy mare will do next, and I love it.

She's constantly lamenting her fate and wishing for a better way but is the only one advancing the story. And she's an emotional wreck over killing other ponies, but keeps putting herself in circumstances where she needs to kill to survive.All this is fixable if Somber gave Blackjack a proper character arc in PH. Have her start off dumb, but gain wisdom and knowledge as she explores Hoofington. Make her fearful, even a little cowardly, but gain a sense of duty over time. Have her morality evolve from the naïve "killing is always awful" to a more nuanced, accepting but morally grey position. Of course, this would all require Somber to be a competent writer and not a self-destructive sadist.

Just started reading FoE, I just finished the part at Pinkies families old farm and Pip being told by the sheriff she's a hero... and she has to leave, so not that far into it, but just felt like I should ask; is this series really actually worth getting invested in? I mean I love Fallout, my favorites being 1 and NV and I obviously love ponies, but I don't really have time to waste on a long ass story that'll just waste my time/piss me off later on, and so far I'm kinda digging it, however none of the characters have endeared themselves to me (yet) and Pip being a lesbo and reminding you of it every time she see's a cute mare seems to be kinda gratuitous/pointless, unless her being a carpet muncher is gonna be super important to the plot later on. Nowacking as Littlepip is a miscast on the same level as Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker. It's like when typecasting goes wrong. When it's super shallow and nobody involved understands the role. Littleshit might be another "cool dyke" horse but she's really nothing like Vinyl. She shouldn't sound cool. If anything she should have the voice of a turbovirgin loser who hasn't had much practice talking. There was one reading on youtube that's probably gone now because youtube removes everything good, where it was like the old audiobook but they added in atmospheric effects like rain or wind and they dubbed over the spoken dialogue. It really puts into perspective how little Littleshit actually talks. Anyway in that one she sounded feminine and kind of cute, and like she was trying to sound cool but wasn't quite there yet. So how were Overmare Studios planning on adapting the parts where Littleshit only completes quests by coming up with the most ridiculous nonsensical bullshit plans you could possibly imagine? Were they going to make everything Littlepip ever did in the book a fully fledged mechanic in the game that you can do anytime? And what about all the mind games that are played in the book? The thing is pretty much everything Littlepip gets done in the book she gets done by coming up with clever solutions or tricking ponies. So either they would have to make some other character in the game be the smart one and give the player these objectives, or they would have to make it an extremely detailed sandbox where you can do anything you can think of, like in Tears of the Kingdom. Except they'd have to take it a step further and make npc ai feel real. Because if tricking motherfuckers is just an intelligence check like in new vegASS, the player is not actually tricking anyone. And that's no fun. I think it's antithetical to the book to just have pre-determined routes the devs lay out for you. Littlepip literally ONLY does what she chooses to.
