I snapped this photo while at a normie convention that was being held in the Orange County Convention center. (And I mean like actual San Diego Comic-Con normie, not HarmonyCon brony-normie.)

There were actually a decent chunk of pony cosplayers, which might actually be up from last year (last year was already a big uptick).

Then, in panel rooms, while they're waiting to start, there's always a variety of popular music being played as ambience. Also, I tend to read pony fics while waiting in lines.
So, while waiting for the very last panel to start, as I'm about to read a Discord-centered fic of all things, "Discord" (the song) starts playing in the panel room/theater. At a full-normie convention. (On the one hand, maybe I shouldn't be surprised? "Hampster Dance 2" *had* played before an earlier panel.) My mom even seemed like she might've been mildly into the beat of the song.
That was also the first time I think I've ever listened to the song in full. 12 years in the fandom and it takes being a captive audience at normie convention to finally hear it.
