>>43132624No, its a normal planet. Equestria is surrounded by a magical shield, the veil. The sun moon and stars are projections on the inside of the veil. The day night cycle use to be automatic, but the veil was damaged at some point, now requiring the projection to be manually updated.Why the veil was created is anyone's guess. Maybe its protecting / hiding the planet from something. Or maybe, Equestria is a rouge planet, or maybe its star is not suitable for supporting life such as a red dwarf. Whatever the truth is, the ponies are ignorant of it. Their history and origins forgotten.
